How to remove a damaged role.

Basically one of our guys removed rdweb in IIS he did not recognize it and removed it along with its home folder rdweb. I have tried
to uninstall Remote Desktop Services to reinstall it and it throws this error:
<Informational>: This server might need to be restarted after the removal completes.
Remote Desktop Services
Remote Desktop Web Access
Remote Desktop Services: Removal failed
<Error>: Attempt to un-install Remote Desktop Web Access failed with error code 0x80070643. Fatal error during installation
The following role services were not removed:
Remote Desktop Web Access
Please refer to the full log at: 'C:\Windows\logs\ServerManager.log'
I managed to get most of Remote Desktop Services out but that one remains and I cannot do a clean reinstall until I get that out. Any ideas how I
can manually remove it.

You can try to run a repair install on boot up from the windows server CD.
This should hopefully repair remote desktop and you wont need to remove it anymore.
Are you using windows server 2003 or 2008?

You can use MB1A / MIGO + 551 / 553 / 555 as it was laready told by you.
"Accounting effect" is not totally clear... If your material is valuated (and I assume it is), you cannot get rid of with w/o generating accounting document (normally).
One idea:
If your transporter exists in SAP as a vendor (I suppose it), you can create a return PO (PO item with return flag) and post a GI by mvt 161 to your vendor. After that your vendor (transporter) sends you a credit memo - so, in this case no scrapping is needed.

I am working on enabling and disabling certain services in the ESS worksets.
we are using EP 7.0, ECC 6.0 (NW2004s).
When I login as a user with ESS role, I can view the changes in the overview pages. However, the worksets are still visible in the TOP Level navigation of th poral. can anyone please explain me how to remove the workset from the Top level navigation.

Hi,
Go to the ESS role via Content Admin, then double click the workset (or page or iview) and in the drop down select navigation. Then click the <i>Yes</i> radio button of the "<i>Invisible in Navigation</i>" property.

Roles are created in Tcode PFCG . Here you can restrict the objects ( Info areas , infoproviders , queries , etc ) and actions ( execute , change , display ) for which you want to give authorisation.
If authorisation is based on some info object eg company code , we create analysis authorisation in RSECADMIN ( restrict it to auth variable created in Bex ). This auth variable code may refer to a DSO which defines the user and company code relationship ie reads the current user and returns the company codes maintained against that user in DSO .In PFCG , we assign this analysis authorisation to authorisation object while creating role .
Role can be assigned to a user using PFCG or SU01 tcode.
Roles can be modified( removing query as in your case ) in PFCG ---> Give role name ---> Change .

Hi. This is my first Windows Server 2012 R2 installation, and I have a made a small mess. I'd be very grateful for any assistance in sorting it out.
I had some problems which I eventually tracked down to an incorrectly installed SSL certificate, but during my diagnostics, I foolishly deleted a row from a system table, thinking that if it messed up, I could always reinsert the row. Forgetting of course
that I couldn't recreate the ID of the original record because it's an auto-ID field. So I realise I'm an idiot.
I logged in to SQL server using:
\\.\pipe\MICROSOFT##WID\tsql\query
and deleted a row from:
Databases/RDCms/Tables/rds.Target
and from:
Databases/RDCms/Tables/rds.Pool
Predictably enough, the database is no longer coherent and RDWeb is not working properly, and I need to remove RDS and reinstall it.
I thought that removing the RDS server role and adding it again would do it, but the erroneous data is still there.
How can I get rid of it and start from a clean slate?

I setup data guard broker for a standby database. However, we recreate the database and re-setup the standby database. But find the earlier broker configuration still exists. But I cannot remove or disable the configuration or any database within the configuration. When I try to do so I got the error, although all network settings are correct:

Hi, I saw same issue when doing switchover testing in my lab environment.prerequisite is primary role and standby role switched and og can be applied without data guard broker.
Here is the step I resolved the issue
1)on both primary and standby database
SQL> alter system set dg_borker_start=false;
on primary DB:
SQL>alter system set dg_broker_config_file1='?/dbs/dr1afterswichoverpry.dat';
SQL>alter system set dg_broker_config_file1='?/dbs/dr2afterswichoverpry.dat';
on standby DB:
SQL>alter system set dg_broker_config_file1='?/dbs/dr1afterswichoverstby.dat';
SQL>alter system set dg_broker_config_file1='?/dbs/dr2afterswichoverstby.dat';
2) enable dg_borker_start on both primay and sandbby db
SQL> alter system set dg_borker_start=true;
3)on primary database to create configuration

The first two problems (box cycling from element to element on page, scroll bar returning to top) can be caused by a stuck (or defective) Tab key on the keyboard. Such damage can be caused by a liquid spill; just one tiny droplet is enough to short a wafer switch under one key.
The last issue (black box, white text - sounds sorta like a debugger window) I haven't seen, but could be caused by something similar.
To check for that, try using a different keyboard. If you're using a wireless keyboard, turn it off and see if the oddities stop.

Select the particular workset.
As soon as u select it the delete button will be enabled.Just delete it.

If you live near an Apple store, make an appointment. A service tech at the store should be able to remove it and if so, there shouldn't be any charge. Apple doesn't have a menu of repair services anyway. They may make clear they won't be responsible for any resulting damage by the stem getting broken or by the removal.

I am stuck at removing unexpired ad hoc roles from wf directory. Althogh I knew wf_purge.directory() is able to remove all expired roles, my question is how to remove unexpired roles and also clear up wf_local directory. I tried wf_purge.AdHocDirectory() but with no luck. : (
Please advise.

When we need to remove an ad-hoc role, we first set its expiration date to sysdate and then run WF_PURGE.adHocDirectory. Besides, the role cannot have any open notification assigned to it, or else it won't be removed.
