Did you buy this phone second-hand (used)? If you did, and it has been locked by the previous owner, then only he can unlock it. If you cannot contact him to do so you will be unable to use the phone.

If it is asking for the screen-lock passcode then:

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Return your iPhone for a refund. There is no way to remove the Activation Lock. Apple won't get involved.

I gave my old phone to my brother but he can't use it because i can't remember the ID and password.
i cant remember user id and password which is that when i was using old one. but i get 5s as gift so i didnt need old one. so i gave to my younger bro but he cant use it. he shoud know that my id and password to activate the phone. actually the phone is locked. as the phone manual, i should login and then remove that account.

Find a way to contact whoever you bought it from. If you can't do that, turn it over to the police. The phone is probably stolen. There is NO WAY past the activation lock without the credentials for the Apple ID that was used to lock it.

If you don't want to keep it, select it, on the iCloud website Mail page click the Trash icon in the toolbar to move it to the Trash, then click the cogwheel icon at top right and choose 'Empty Trash'. Or in the Mail application drag the messages to the Trash and from the Mailbox menu choose 'Erase deleted items' then 'iCloud'.
If you want to keep it, in the Mail application drag the messages to another mailbox under 'On My Mac'. -
I am a cityville game player on facebook and for some reason today I am unable to send out blasted on the game when if fact this was never a problem. I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -

You need your password to delete it and I need the email address to reset the password. I feel like I'm going in circles!!! Please help!!!Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address (you shouldn't need to verify the old account). You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
