How to remove an album from iPhone 5?

When i first received my iPhone 5 I added an album of pictures from my pc onto my phone, I no longer want this album on my phone but i cant erase it from the device itself and I do not have the original pc anymore. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get this album off my phone without me having to restore my phone.... restoring is not an option right now because i have nothing backed up.

open the photos app.
click on the "album" icon at the bottom.
click "edit" in the upper right corner.
click the red "negative" button to the left of the album you want to delete.
click the "delete" button.
this will not delete all of the pictures from the phone, but it will delete the album.
if you want to delete all of the pictures, you have to click on each individual picture in the camera roll and trash each one.

  • How to remove songs/albums from Iphone 5 S and itunes library inorder to add new songs

I have an Iphone 5, 7.1.2 model.  I have been attempting to add new songs onto my phone but do not have any available space.  Although I have deleted and removed apps and other space eating products from my phone, I still do not have enough space to add the new songs that I would like to include on my phone.  The final option would be for me to remove some songs from my phone that I no longer listen to.  Problem is, I can't seem to find a way or any direction on just how to do that.  Wonder if anyone has successfully removed songs from their phone and/or library as a way to free up space to replace them with new songs?

  • How to remove photo album from IPhone 5

I copied a photo album from my PC to my IPhone (for a slideshow at a funeral).  The photos did not originate on the IPhone.  Now I want to remove this photo album, but there does not seem to be any way to do so.  The Iphone does not appear to allow for removal, and the album does not appear in ITunes on my PC.
The Settings>General>Usage tab allows me to delete all of my music, thus allowing me to reinstall what I want, but this feature isn't available for photos.
    Any ideas?  Thanks.

An excerpt from this support document: iTunes: Syncing photos
To delete synced photos and videos from your device
In iTunes, click the Device button in the upper right corner. (If viewing the iTunes Store, click the Library button in the upper-right corner first.)
Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Note: To delete all synced photos, deselect "Sync Photos from" and, when asked, click "Remove photos."
    Click Apply.

  • How to delete music albums from iPhone

How to delete music albums from iphone?

They're DEFINITELY pushing Apple users that way. I just saw yet ANOTHER new/incredible feature the Galaxay can do that Apple (I mean Tim Cook) can't even DREAM about doing.
At this point, it's becoming an embarrassement to even own an iPhone. *sigh*

  • Remove photo albums from iphone

    remove photo albums from iphone

As soon as you sync your phone to a different computer & put a check in the box to sync photos under the photos tap in iTunes, then hit the apply/sync button, all of these photos will be erased from your phone.

  • How do i remove photo albums from Iphone that appear when syncing which I cannot prevent

Iphone 4.  just synced with laptop and to my horror now have every photo from laptop in albums on my phone which i cannot remove.  Have gone back into sync mode and it wont let me access the albums on phone to delete.  Such ridiculous situation not to be able to delete by choice on phone.  Sync only repeats the process.  Not a happy iphone user.  Can anyone help and suggest a simple way to remove the albums.  Also what to do when syncing to avoid happening again. When syncing,  I dont seem to be able to access my iphone or chose what sync processes i want as the sync only happens as one process including the photos.  Is this a fault??  Cannot believe Apple would make this such a difficult process.  Help appreciated.

Thanks but it wont let me choose and once the albums on iphone it wont let me remove..... any more thoughts??

  • Having trouble removing photo albums from iPhone 4S

I have several photo albums on my iPhone that I would like to remove, they were created after i downloaded pics from emails, the pics do not have a trash can icon for convenient deletion, I cannot see these albums on my pc when i try to access the files in regular folders (which would be nice and convenient) and I cannot access these albums in anyway through iTunes (as far as I can tell), what can I do to remove these albums I wonder?

If you created the albums in the Photos app, then, in Album view, touch the Edit button. Any Album that you can delete will then have an "X" in the upper left corner of its album icon. Touch the "X" to delete that album.
Other albums that were created by syncing with a PC can only be deleted by syncing with iTunes on that PC with the album unselected.

  • Removing photo albums from iPhone & iPad

I Have several photo albums on my iPhone and iPad that I want to delete, but when viewing photo albums and click on "edit", there's no option to remove anything.  I've logged into my cloud account to remove them, but there's nothing referring to photos.

How did those photo albums get on the iPad in the first place? If they were copied to the iPad by syncing with your computer you need to do another sync to delete them. Start iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad. Select your ad in iTunes and then click on the  photos tab In iTunes. Deselect the albums you want to delete then click on apply or sync.

How to remove photos from iphone permenant and to be sure that no one can restore them again.

Connect the phone to iTunes and sync by de-selecting the photos you don't want on your phone under photos.  If you sync, the photos will be removed from the phone but will remain on iTunes.

  • Manually removing songs/albums from iPhone

There have been previous posts to this questions, but the newest iTunes seems to have changed.  The check box to manually manage music and videos now just allows manually managing videos.  The 'swipe' method to remove songs is tedious (1 song at a time, it does not work on albums or artists) and seems to only work on some songs; others won't delete (Yes I have the setting to 'show only local music' in the settings page).  Is there something I'm missing?  Why is this so hard?

  • How to remove apple id from iphone 3G

Hi,  My husband and I have shared an apple id for sometime.  It has just caused complications because he is in Europe and Facetime and Imessage are not working properly on our phones because we have the same id.  AT&T advised me to sign up for a new id and remove the old one from the icloud only on my iphone 3g replacing it with a new one.  They said we could still share our music and apps but using separate ids in the cloud would resolve the conflict.  I cannot seem to remove the id on my phone and am wondering how to do this, or any other ideas for how we can keep sharing our music without causing problems with facetime and imessage.  Any ideas?  Thanks

    Settings>iCloud. Log out
    Settings>Messages. Log out of iMessage
    Settings>Facetime. Log out of Facetime.
Then, log back in to each of those using your new Apple ID.

  • How to remove "other" files from iphone memory

Concerning how the memory is used on the Iphones under the "other" category, I have found that the biggest culprit is text messages that include photos and videos sent and received. Think about it, when you take a picture and then send it, even though you delete it from your camera roll, it is still necessary to hold in memeory as being part of the text history. It is only removed from the phone when you delete it from the text message as well. This also applies to text messages received. This is a large hidden area to most people!
    good luck.

Restore the iOS.  You may have to do this as a new phone (without using a backup).  Note that "other" contains messages and emails - if you have a lot of these, especially with photos/videos, that would account for the other usage.

I cannot delete your posts. As I explained, only the Hosts can.
And if you can find it in your heart to actually pass on the feedback that the pre installed apps not being able to easily be gotten rid of is a problem, then that would be great.
Use the feedback link I gave in my first post.
Apparently one of your hosts deleted his own post where he called me an idiot for necroing this thread, where it's still an issue. Obviously I'm not so naive as to think it'd be changed on one person's say-so, but the fact that he deleted his own post is problematic and goes to trust and accountability.

  • How to remove petroleum jelly from iphone speaker?

The lid of the jar came off in my purse and the bottom of my iphone 4s got smothered in petroleum jelly? How can I remove it from my speakers so that they aren't muffled? I got nearly all of it out but it wasn't until 2 days later I ride the bus home and the the warmth must have leaked it into the speakers. D:

It might be difficult to remove it all. Petroleum jelly liquefies at a fairly low temperature though. Try using a hair dryer - not too hot - while holding the iPhone vertically so that the remaining contaminant can drip out the speaker port. Absorb the liquid with a paper towel.
