How to remove apps in "waiting" ?

Hi,
I purchased a used iphone 4 from a friend. It had two apps which were in "waiting" state. Now i have no way to remove them. I have sync-ed them with my own apple ID in itunes. Still they wont go away. Even after giving it a hard reset, the "Apple ID/ password" screen would appear (as the phone wud want to resume the downloads in waiting) with the old user [email protected] ID. I have signed out of the old account from appstore too and signed in with my own. Everytime I click the greyed out "waiting" icons, it would ask me for the old user's password.
Please help.
Can anyone tell me which apps are these so that i can re-download them with my own apple id and then try deleting them once they r completed.

Check that you haven't enabled Restrictions, you can turn toggle the ability to delete apps through there.
Goto:
Settings
General
Restrictions
Enter your Restrictions Passcode
Scroll down and check to see if Deleting Apps has been enabled (On - so can delete) or disabled (Off - so CAN'T delete).

  • How to remove app designer migration access from the Developer id

    Team,
Please guide me with steps to remove app designer migration access from the Developer id.
I want that developer can create the project but do not have migration access.
    Rgds,

Did you already remove the other permission lists/roles you identified in your previous response like I told you to do in my first response?  The user can have no permission lists that grant this access.  Working with a clone of VP1 is a bad strategy.  Security should be handled from the bottom up, adding what is required for a user to perform their necessary functions.  Cloning VP1 and removing roles/permissions is security from the top down and will undoubtedly leave you with a user that is still granted more access than you like even after removing this particular access.  You should really be working with your companies security admin on this, they may have a standard way of doing this.  Many places I've been use custom roles and permission lists when deviating from the Oracle delivered security.
Does ABC user still have any access to UPGRADE?
    select ru.roleuser, ru.rolename, rc.classid, ai.barname from psroleuser ru
    join psroleclass rc on ru.rolename = rc.rolename
    join psauthitem ai on ai.classid = rc.classid
    where ai.menuname = 'APPLICATION_DESIGNER'
    and ai.barname = 'UPGRADE'
    and ru.roleuser = 'ABC'

  • How to remove App from iPhone, but not iPad

I have an App that I would like to keep in my iTunes library, but only Sync to my iPad -- not my iPhone.  Right now, the App has been 'deselected' from my iPhone, but the associated file size did not decrease.  My iPhone still has 1GB more than I would like.  How can I remove the App and it's file from my iPhone, but preserve it on my iPad?  Thanks!

    Deselect it and sync.
Is it still on your iphone?
Apps are generally not that large.  I doubt you would notice much difference in memory used.
Look on the iphone to see if the app is there.

  • How to remove app that is no longer in app store

This is probably the worst I've ever experienced with my iPhone.
I had to restore my phone from backup. And it restored all apps except one. And this app (Quotes++) is no longer available on app store. But unfortunately I can't remove it the normal way by holding the icon and then click X. It does nothing. And the status is waiting forever. That is actually not so bad but every few minutes, it always prompt me with an error downloading the app, this is where it got so annoying because it stopped anything I was doing like watching movie or playing game, or anything.  I've tried to remove it from iTunes but it also didn't do anything. What can I do?
When prompted with the Done/Retry prompt, I've tried clicking both of them but it kept prompting me again and again after a few minutes.
I can't paste the snapshot or attach an image here so let me try typing what the prompt is saying.
    1. This is the annoying popup that keeps appearing.
Unable to Download App "Quan.Quotes" could not be downloaded at this time. Done or Retry buttons?
Notes: no matter which button i clicked i still get the same prompt after a few minutes.
    2. When trying to delete the app, by touching the icon and hold it then touch the X button. I got this prompt:
Deleting "" will also delete all of its data. Delete or Cancel buttons?
Notes: Yes, the app is empty string "".
What can I do to make it stop prompting me the first popup?
I've tried painstakingly restore from backup again but same thing happened again. I have too much data in the backup that I can't set it up as a new phone. That's what backup is for, isn't it?
    Thanks,
    Sean

If you have not other files or backups then sorry you just will not have the information.

  • How to Remove App Store, Facetime, etc from the Dock

Apple: I have to admit: I'm dead-tired of this. Every single time an update to the OS comes down I have to spend hours upon hours trying to remove icons I do not want displayed in my dock from my dock. "I know where the App Store is. Making it reappear in my dock upon every removal and reset only serves to annoy me rather than badger me into regular visits."
Last time I had to search the web for answers I accomplished it by editing a plist in the Library folder. I really don't want my dock populated with apps I don't use with extreme frequency. I know how to initiate Mission Control. I don't need it cluttering my dock with every upgrade. Facetime?? I can find that pretty quickly as well. When I remove something from my dock that means I don't want it in my dock again unless I put it there.
    Seriously. It's enough already.
Users: Can any users help us get things out of the dock this time? Thanks.

Thank you for posting the answer ... this has been annoying me for a while, but I never bothered with is as I rarely reboot.
I installed Windows 7 via Bootcamp tongiht so that I can do some gaming with a couple of buddies so now this is going to be a regular annoyance.
    Well, it would have been!
    Thanks again,

  • How to remove app that I don't use from ipad, icloud, everywhere?

I bought some app a long time ago that I do not want to use ever. I have already remove the icon from the ipad and from my iphone, but it is saved in icloud. I want it to go away from icloud so that it would free up my icloud memory for other storage. I want to get rid of the app forever. How do I do that? Please, please help!
By the way, I have already search the Apple Support communities. I did not find any helpful answers.

You can turn off what you don't want to backup in iCloud (tap to enlarge image)

I have icons for apps that I used to have and are no longer available in market. How do I get them off?

Long press the icons and drag them to trash can at the bottom of the screen until the icon turns red and then release.
To remove the applications, go to settings > applications > manage applications > all tab > scroll down to the application. Select it and press the uninstall button.

    You can't, just ignore it.
Unless you don't want the app at all, delete app from iPad and also the app in your iTunes library.

  • How to remove apps from iTunes after they have been removed from iPod Touch

If I remove an app from my iPod Touch, they still exist in iTunes. After a while, they can add up and take up lots of space on my computer. What's the easiest way to remove ALL apps that no longer exist on my iPod Touch but are still in iTunes? I currently just manually go through the list to delete them from iTunes, which seems to work, but is there a better, more efficient way?

    Anna,
Your suggestion of using the Control key does not work on a Mac.
    On a Mac, one can:
    1. Use your Command-(Apple) key to select items that are not in consecutive order. It's appropriately called a "non-consecutive select".
    2. Use your Shift key to select consecutive items.
    3. Or use your mouse to perform what's called a "lasso" select. Click your mouse/clicker down while dragging over the items you'd like to select, and then drag them to the trash.
    Gramps.

    Hello,
I tried several time to find the way to delete some rubbish apps but I could not find the menu with delete option. Also in Ovi suite, no way to delete apps.
    Thanks in advance,

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I am not too sure about tribuuy's suggestions.. but if the applications are not taking up too much space then though annoying, I would advise you to let it be there..
BTW, I completetly agree that there should be some way to remove totally unwanted applications, let these be pre-installed..

  • How to remove app in ios7

    Hi,
I just upgrade to iOS7 and was trying to clean up the app list and remove some of the apps that I rarely use.
But I could find anyway to remove an app from my iphone5.
And then  when I connect to iTunes, the "remove" bottom cannot be clicked by mouse.
Please can any one help me? Or someone in Apple forgot to put that in the new iOS?
    Thank you.

    Thanks dilbert41.
I just realize I have set "deleting app" as "no" in the restriction setting.
that's why I couldn't see the little X on the conrner.
Sorry about that and thanks for your help.
