How to remove background on home screen

My phone automatically set my lock screen photo to also be the home screen background and now I am unable to get it back to its original black background. Only options in wallpaper are iPhone designs, no plain black.

A workaround would be to take a picture with your hand/finger completely covering the camera so that it's black. Or find an image on the web and save it (press and hold the photo on the web and tap save).

It's possible you may have accidentally enabled the zoom feature. To zoom out of that you would want to use 3 fingers to double tap the screen. If you do it correctly it should zoom out, then you can go to settings>general>accessibility to turn the zoom feature off.

When the phone is mounted in the car dock and an app is running (Navi, Music, etc.), how can you get to the main home screen of the phone rather than the car dock menu?
Follow me......
* Phone is mounted in Car Dock.
* If there are NO apps running, pressing the BACK key from within the Car Dock Menu takes you directly to the Home screen.
However.....
* Phone is mounted in Car Dock.
* Navigation(or any app, for that matter) is running.
* Pressing MENU key takes me to Car Dock Menu.
* There's no exit option available to exit from car dock menu.
* Pressing BACK key takes you back to the app that's running, not the home screen.
* Long press of HOME key only takes you to an app list screen, not home screen.
* Only way to get to home screen is to repeatedly press the BACK button exiting out of the Car Dock Menu and cancelling all apps that are currently running.
On my Droid 2, I was able to quickly exit the Car Dock Menu simply by pressing the BACK or exit button, regardless of which or how many apps were running. They would still run in the background, showing on the status bar.
Anyone know of a work around? I couldn't find any settings to change within the Car Dock menu to change this. Stopped by three Verizon stores and they all say we have to be missing something, as they couldn't figure it out either. One rep told me it was a new "nanny" feature so that you couldn't access your apps while driving, however when I pointed out that you could access the home screen if no apps were running, he wasn't sure what to say.
Any help?

I solved my problem eventually by getting all the devices - 2 iphones, the newish pc and the older Mac on icloud.
All media, calenders and messages were lost from the iphones, except for purchased itunes that I paid another $30 to Apple to save for me and also paid Appple some more to use icloud but the good news is I did save my contacts
I opened all of my contacts and pretty much had to edit and drag them over almost individually as they weren't all in some sort of configuration that Apple liked - i.e. if an email address ended in ch or es or de it might not be accepted as a properly configured vcard.
It would be nice if Apple made it a litle easier when you have older devices and need to get them in sync with newer ones.

I have a Curve, and I can reset the image this way: Click on the Media icon, then Pictures icon, then My Pictures. From there I press the Menu button (left of trackball) and click Reset Home Screen Image.

I Have faced one problem in screens(se51). When apply one SAP Note i have to change the screen manually(as per Note ) . My requirement is to remove some text fields and label fields. But I cant delete the Fields.
Normally just select the object and Press delete Key to remove one object from screen. But here it is not working.
How can i remove the objects from the screen as per SAP Note.

I came across your un-answered question while searching for a solution on the similer problem. Though I couldn't fine a solution on SDN, but figured out one myself. Thought its a good idea to share it.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.
    IF screen-group4 = '003'.
      screen-active = 0.
      MODIFY SCREEN.
    ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
Here screen-group4 contains the sequence number of the select-options field starting from 000 onwards.
You may like to assign points and close the question.

How can I get back to my home screen?

Press and hold both the home and power buttons until the phone shuts off.
Then press the power button to power up again and there is a good chance things will be back to normal.
Not a very elegant way of getting out of a locked screen but if it is truly locked up as you say it's probably your only way out.

I can't fix the "shortcuts bar". It seems only allows me to set the " basic" or "contact" bars
I double click the shortcuts bar but the green V is not fixed....

I don't think it is posible... change the colour of screen element but you can only change the background color of screen but you can not put any elemnet on that screen using picture control check for program RSDEMO_PICTURE_CONTROL will help you.

How do I get my home screen smaller...it has gotten bigger and I can't see the whole thing at once. Changing the resolutions doesn't make a difference.

I had my mouse in the bottom left corner when I made a spreading motion with 2 fingers. The whole screen got really magnified. The reverse action did not put it back. How to I get back to the standard size home screen????? PS....I'm a new mac user..so no big words plz.

Head to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Universal Access (or Accessibility or whatever they call it now) and fiddle with the zoom settings.
Perhaps you should consider using a scroll wheel mouse and setting the Control key as it being held down to zoom in/out with the scroll wheel, that's what I do and it's a lot easier than using the trackpad.
Trackpads are more for like temporary portable and emergency uses as they are not that comfortable or easy to use for the long term.
