How to remove blackberry ID

I've just purchased a blackberry passport and my 1st time using blackberry. When creating the blackberry ID I've given a wrong email address which I does not own, and the system does not check validity. Now I cannot reset my password and they will send the reset link to the wrong email address. How do I remove this blackberry ID and create a new and correct ID? Thanks.

You can create a new BBID at www.bbid.com. As suggested already, you'll need to do a security wipe in order to use it on the device, though.

  • How to Remove Blackberry ID from Phone without Password

    Hey People.
    I have a Blackberry Curve 9300 Unlocked.
I have the Blackberry Add On to my contract.
The blackberry i own is currently 2nd hand as i bought it off the market.
I can't access Blackberry App World, everytime I try it, it comes up with someone elses e-mail (which i do not have the password for) and when i go to change it and put mine in it says "Enter the username associated with this smartphone".
I have tried everything, deleting app world and reinstalling it, holding ALT and typing RST, ringing up my network provider. I go to the part in options where "Blackberry ID" is and when i click on it it trys logging me in to the other e-mail address which I don't have the password for. I have tried plugging the device to my laptop that way and it says i need the password which i don't know.
so please could someone help me with this problem
    Sambo.

    Hello !
There is an alternative for your problem to resolve.
What you do is connect your BlackBerry Smartphone with USB cable to Internet enabled desktop/laptop.
Go to the link mentioned below:
    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/
On top right  of the page there is a option "Register".
Here create a new BlackBerry ID by filling uo the formalities on the page.
Now "Sign In" with your BB ID and Password.
From here you can download all as you do it for Appworld.
    Hope this resolves your Problem!
If your problem has been resolved then would request you to Click on "Like" and accept as "Solution" so that other Advisors doesnt invest there time on this Message anymore.

  • How do i remove blackberry from Login items in lion?

any idea? I'm trying to remove blackberry device manager from login item but the its checked and greyed out.

Backup your files to a external data drive and disconnect
Reboot the computer holding the Shift key down to enter Safe mode, the third party kernel extensions will be disabled.
Try the BB uninstaller again and/or
Look in your System/Library/Extensions folder for anything that has the "Blackberry" or "RIM" name in the extension (with .kext at the end of the file) and move it out of the folder.
You may have to consult their web site for a manual uninstall method. Kext stands for Kernel extension obviously.
the free Easy Find can help you locate the files in that folder.
You also can Command r boot into Lion Recovery and install Lion with the
    Restoring OS X 10.5 10.6. 10.7 - simple overwrite OS method
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16276201#16276201
That should kick anything out of OS X itself, then it's just a matter of removing anything in the Applicaitons folder.
If there are remnants still in your user, you can always create a new user and transfer your personal data via the root level/Users/ "shared" folder, once up, then remove the old user.

  • How to remove country lock.

    Hello,
    Mine is 8900.
Since there is country lock, I cannot use it in other countries, regions. I am in Netherlands and frequently travel other continents.
Does anyone know how to remove the country lock?
Your comment and advice would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks for comment.
The previous phones were Nokia and HTC. I did not have any problem in roaming with those phones. Without any procedure, I could used the phone in other countries.
Now SIM card is same and the service provider is same, T-Mobile. When I found BB did not work in China, I put the SIM card to old Nokia phone and it worked. Only difference is the phone.
    Hi again,
It sounds then that you wish to use a local (in country) SIM in your BB when you travel. Hence, the unlocking link first provided applies.
If, on the other hand, you want to roam with your home SIM intact, then you need to ensure you have an adequate international roaming plan from your carrier.
BB's are different from other devices...that's just the way they are.
    Good luck!

  • Removing blackberry desktop software

I recently started working at a new company, and the previous user had installed the blackberry desktop software.  Unfortunatly i dont have a use for it so would like to remove it,  I followed the instructions from http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/25937-how-perform-clean-uninstall-reinstall-blackberry-... .  Now when i  start programs the blackberry desktop software randomly tries to start an install and i spend the next 2-3 minutes hitting cancel
Ive searched all folders for any research in motion folders which has come up empty.  Any assistance to get this to stop would be greatly appriciated.
    Dan

i figured out how to remove the pc software system.
    here's what you do:
pop the user guide tools & reinstall everything. restart your computer. after that go to control panel, then add/remove programs. DO NOT TAKE THE DISC OUT OF THE CD-ROM YET! Then click on the change/remove. there's gonna be a pop-up that asks you what do you want to do. click on remove & just follow everything.
Hope that works! have a great day!

Hi there and welcome to the forums!
You can resolve this using the following steps (I've done the same on my Storm for the same reason as you):
Open the phone application, then press the BB Menu button and select Options
Choose Call Logging and then change the call logging options to None.
This will still show an icon for missed calls, but it will remove the call log from your main messages folder.
    I hope this helps!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello!
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory -- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461
On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15345
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14320
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14213
Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
    Best!
    Good luck!
