How to remove clip of static from Real Instrument tracks

I posted about this a while ago and never followed up on it [http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2454679&tstart=0].
Original question: I've been heavily trimming vocal/real bass guitar parts. And at the beginning of the track, there's a blip, or one-second clip, where you can tell I trimmed the part. Is there a way to get rid of/hide this?
The thread closed so I'm making this new one. I tried the link mentioned in the original thread, but it just said to drag the clip left or right. That didn't solve the problem. The boarder from that thread also said something about "zooming in at a zero-cross," and that's what I'm following up on now. Can someone expand on this? How do I do it?

if you think of a sine wave, there is +, 0, and -, above, at, and below the zero cross line which you see in the waveform ... the middle is zero. if the waveform is cut at a point above or below zero there will be a "click"
GB is not an audio editor, so it's not a perfect tool for finding the zero cross line. zooming in can help, but an audio editor that can zoom in to the "byte level" is the best tool for editing audio:
