i'm using firefox on fedora 13, and find that there's a down arrow in the bookmark folder. It takes lot of space of my bookmark bar, so i wanna remove it, please help me.
i tried google, and put following in userChome.css, but no use:

You might try restoring a backup of your bookmarks.
1. From the menu at the top of the Firefox window bar, click the Bookmarks menu and choose Organize Bookmarks to open the Library window.
2. Before proceeding, you should make a backup of your current bookmarks.
1. From the toolbar on the Library window, select Import and Backup and choose Backup.
2. Firefox will ask you to save the bookmark backup to a folder on your hard drive. Choose a location that you will remember.
3. Your current bookmarks have been backed up to the file you selected.
3. From the toolbar on the Library window, select Import and Backup to open the Import and Backup menu, and pick Restore to see a list of available bookmark backups organized by date.

How do I find an old Bookmarks folder and addresses therein on Time Machine? My current bookmarks folder was overwritten by iCloud.

Short Version: Restore ~/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist
Long Version: First you need to open your (normally hidden) Library folder. One way is to press option then use the Finder Go menu to select "Library". In there you will find a Safari folder. Open that folder then enter Time Machine. Restore Bookmarks.plist.

Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
This article explains how to export your bookmarks to an HTML file, which can be used as a backup or for importing into another web browser.

Click the Bookmarks button on the right side of the navigation toolbar and select Show All Bookmarks to open the Library window.

It easy to remove all those Nokia bookmarks links and folders. Just remove the bookmarks db file...
Use Y-Tasks (process & threads) to kill "FavoritesSrv.exe"
You need self sign Y-Tasks.
Then go to... C:\Private\100012a5 and delete...
DBS_101FD685_BrowserBookmarks.db
That's for FP 1 & FP 2 devices for FP 3 devices you need to copy the DBS_101FD685_BrowserBookmarks.db that I included a download link to, copy that to the C:\Private\100012a5, overwriting the original file!
Then restart your device...
After you do that the only folders that you will have by default are...

Need detailed how-to replace down arrow keycap

Help please. The down arrow key got stuck. I used my fingernail to pry it and the keycap came off! Ugh. The instructions for PowerBook G4: Keycap Replacement don't do a good job of explaining how to put the plastic pieces back together and they don't look like the picture.
Nothing looks broken, but how do I fit the 2 "scissors" back together? here's a (crummy) picture of mine keycap pieces http://i5.tinypic.com/11l1ueo.jpg
It'd be embarrasing to have to take this to the Apple store for a keycap.

I've never tried to do the arrow key caps, but if it's anything like the F1-2, F11-12 caps (it might not be, as they are supposed to come off for access to the guts) they just 'snap' back on. There is an ifixit.com guide that explains what I'm talking about. You might check it out before treking to the Apple store. These guides have proven invaluable for me.

How to remove an item in a folder in Reminders on the IMAC

I am trying to remove an item in a folder in Reminders on my IMAC. I tried holding down the control key and clicking on the item. Sometimes I get a pop up menu with the "delete" option. But more often than none when I do this I get a pop up menu to cut, copy etc...not to delete. Why the inconsistencies in holding down the control key and clicking the mouse? How to remove picture in Desktop Pictures Folder

I'm fairly new to my iMac...I've had it less than a year. Somehow (don't ask me how!) I've managed to get a couple of personal pics under the" Desktop Pictures" folder that is found when you right click on the desktop and select "Change Desktop Background". When it opens there are several folders under "Apple" one of which is "Desktop Pictures". The ones in question are pictures I'd previously used as my desktop background, but I do this all the time and none of the others have ended up stuck in this folder. I don't know how I did it, but I did and I can't seem to remove them. It's not a life or death situation and I can live with it, but to be frank they are pictures of an "ex" and I'd prefer to remove them if possible. Please advise. Drop down arrows missing in folder

I have drop down arrows missing from a folder on my imac on OS 10.7.4.

How can I create a smart bookmark folder that retains every bookmark I've saved after a certain date?

Essentially I would like to create a smart bookmark folder similar to the default "recent bookmarks". But the entering information into the search bar won't create a date filtering smart bookmark. I couldn't find a way to edit smart bookmarks either. Obviously, I am familiar with smart folders in iTunes and iPhoto and am hoping that smart bookmarks in Firefox would have similar capabilities. Is there something that I have missed? Many thanks in advance.

Gmail scroll down arrow is covered by Firefox 4 window resize icon

I updated Firefox to version 4 and now the scroll down arrow for the main mailbox of Gmail is covered up by the window resizing triangle icon for Firefox at the bottom right on the window.
The scroll down arrow is effectively made unavailable.
This appears to be the only site that causes this problem.

You can add the bottom back back to your screen, which will move the resize corner below the scroll arrows. Just go to the '''View menu''' > '''Toolbars''' and enable the '''Add-on bar'''.

as an app, put it on the Dock, and click it to activate it. However, seems simpler just to put the FF icon on the Dock and a single click launches it. Why would you want a service or AS to do the same thing?
