How to remove .dwt templates from Creative Cloud Business Catalyst site?

Hi,
I've created a site in Dreamweaver using one of my free creative cloud sites.  There is a site structure automatically in place that is using the .dwt Dreamweaver templates with editable regions.  I've found this is really impairing my workflow and I would like to convert the site to just using regular .html templates without editable regions.
When I try to upload a template file with a .html extension via SFTP I get a permissions error.  I haven't found any other way around this either.
Can someone help me convert the site from using .dwt templates to using .html templates without editable regions?

Hi Jeff,
All files including templates on BC are .html based. IF you have .dwt files on there it is because you did not go through the DW BC tool or extension(older DW) and just uploaded them. Delete them - BC does not use them if you have those on the host.
In terms of just directly uploading you need to ensure two things with templates.
1. The folder locally is EXACTLY the same spelling and capitalisation as the host.
2. The html file template HAS TO HAVE {tag_pagecontent} there to be classed as a template.
I think 2 may be your issue?

    Im having the exact same issue - i got the 30days 3 triel. down loaded photoshop CC - then due to my laptop messing up i had to remove it - but in the app sectin of creative cloud its still classed as installed. . even though it's not. . now i cant reinstall it as all it says is update
    and i have done every thing in all the link people have provided, removed the OOBE files,And doing the aplicatin remover dose nothing. but the app is still their and i am unable to use photosho cc.
    worst thing ever why is their no uninstall/reinstall right on the creatice Cloude desktop app?

    I would uninstall everything, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 ) then just reinstall CS6 from your previous installers.

    I uploaded about 30 photos to creative cloud storage. Now I cannot find a way to download a group or all at the same time. You can select multiples and move to different folders within CC, but can't download multiples. Had I known this before using it, I would have made a zip folder of images.     I think most Cloud users would very much agree with you.
    The Cloud today is a reasonable version 1 product but it's clunky, lacks fundamental features and is a latecomer to a rapidly maturing market. Other offerings currently shine in comparison.
    Our expectations as consumers are very high because we're used to the Dropboxes (and other superior 3rd party solutions) out there.
    Adobe has been inundated with feature suggestions and enhancements from users. The more, the better.
    They might, as they claim, be working on improvements but they've got to get a move on before the Cloud tarnishes its own reputation too much due to lack of (expected) features.

I uninstalled creative cloud then reinstalled it after logging in to my adobe id online. the problem is every time i go to download an adobe program a creative cloud window pops up asking me to verify my buddies email address (the guy i bought the laptop from) which i am not capable of doing. There is no option to login with another email address in the window. Is there anyway to disassociate his account from this laptop?
