  • How to remove Flash Player from Windows 2012 R2?

We don't use any of our server to navigate websites and we don't install any third party softwares. Windows 2012 R2 comes with flash player which we don't need and we definitely wanna remove that software. How can I remove it?

A little more information to possibly close this out.
The patch you are wondering about - 2942844 - was superceded by 2755801 on May 13.  Since my tests were after that, they would be getting the new patch and not the old patch.  Evidently the new patch did not contain 'Adobe Flash' in the title.
Furthermore, what the patch is doing is patching Adobe Flash libraries used by Internet Explorer.  It it not patching an installation of Adobe Flash.  Those libraries are part of the Windows distribution to allow for use of Adobe Flash by the browser
without the need to install Flash on the system.
Ergo, Adobe Flash, as stated from the beginning, is not part of the Windows Server distribution.  But there are libraries that Adobe provides in the distribution.
In the future, if you have questions about what's happening, Microsoft documents every patch in pretty minute detail.  My bad for not looking at the detailed information in the first place.  To look up any security advisory with the detailed information,
    modify this URL -
https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/2755801 - replacing the seven digits at the end with the KB number.

  • Evernote: How to remove it completely?

Hey all, I need to remove Evernote from my Mac and re-install it because Evernote isn't working so well.
How can I completely remove Evernote? I saw someone recommend 'AppDelete' and another app, but how can I trust these apps? Is there an app I could download from the MacApp Store?

From the context of your questions I surmise you want to know not just how to delete the Evernote app from your Mac, but also how to delete all your information from Evernote's records. Assuming that is correct, first log in to your Evernote account and erase all your notes. Then, delete the Evernote app according to Apple's instructions for uninstalling apps.
Although you can deactivate an Evernote account, I don't believe there is a way to permanently delete an account without intervention from their customer support. Merely erasing all your notes from Evernote should accomplish what you seek though.
I saw someone recommend 'AppDelete' and another app, but how can I trust these apps?
You don't. They are unreliable in general. None of them are necessary, and some of them (not App Store programs though) are harmful and will corrupt your Mac.

  • How to remove applications completely?

I went to applications list and removed msn and yahoo messenger. AND I deleted the service books, restarted the phone and those icons are still there in my app list, and they work. How do I completely delete an unwanted application? Buggers won't go away. lol
    thank you,
    Didan
Edited to add additional info: The apps I deleted on the advanced options app list are not listed in the applications list anymore, but the icons are still on the desktop and they work. Just wanted to clarify.
Message Edited by didan on 12-20-2008 09:15 AM

Go to Options > Advanced > Applications. Are they listed there? If so, delete.
If not listed there, then they are not installed and all you see is an install shortcut, which is no big deal. Hide them.

  • How to remove en completely newly install a game app

    Hi,
I was playing a game, but i want to delete it and reinstall to start all over again from the start.
I did al the things on this site discussions (hiding, removing etc.), but to no avail.
In the store to download the app there's allways the 'cloud' icon, and then the game starts were I left off.
But I want to start all over again...
    Anyway this can be done?
    Thanks!
    Lex

There's some confusion going on here.
Although you can always re-download the game from the "cloud" (the AppStore), that maybe seperate to your saved game progress.
Different developers use different methods for saving game progress. Some save it within the app itself on the device. In this case, deleting the game will also delete the game progress.
Some developers store saved game progress on the Internet somewhere (either their own servers, Facebook, or perhaps in Apple's iCloud) so progress can be synced between multiple devices/platforms. In this case deleting the game app won't delete your game progress.
If you tell us what game you are referring to, maybe someone will know how to delete your game progress.

  • How to remove the complete ALE configuration for a given system

    Hello everybody,
Through ALE ,data is transferred between a number of SAP systems and the necessary ALE setups are in place.
Now,a particular SAP system, which used to be a receivor to the central SAP system,is to be retired.
Hence, the associated ALE set up is to be completely removed from the central SAP system.
Is the following sequence correct? If not and I have missed something, please enlighten me with the correct sequence.
1.Removal of the receivor logical system  and its assignment to client ,through transaction SALE.
2.Removal of partner profile, through transaction WE20.
    3.Removal of RFC destinations,through transaction SM59.
4.Removal of transactional ports for the logical system, through transaction code WE21.
5.Removal of Distribution model between the retiring system and the central SAP system.
(a)Regarding distribution model,I have a question-if the distribution model is maintained such that it contains the linking relationships between the central system and several receivor systems(in addition to the one I wish to remove),then is it possible to remove only the desired linkage and not touch the rest?
(b)Through BD64,I have tried but I am able to delete only the entire distribution model  as a whole, while I would like to keep the distribution model and delete just one of the nodes,so as to cut  the connection between only central system and the retiring system.
This is so because the other receivor systems are working fine, involving a lot of batchjobs and I am afraid that deleting the distribution model wholly will create unnecessary trouble.
    Any help will be appreciated.Thanks

    HI Nicolas,
I chatted with Rev-Trac support earlier today and here is what they have come back to me with.
Assuming the change in question was carried out in the development  system. Changes to fields in tables should in most cases be captured in transports. Assuming it was a transportable change then go to the development system and execute transaction SE16 and query Rev-Trac table /RSC/T_MFM_4T filtering by TABLENAME.
On executing the query you should see a list of transports involved with changes to the transport. You can then check to see if there is a recent transport associated with the change - if so then you can find out who created the transport by using standard SAP functionality."
If you find this doesn't help, then please contact your Rev-Trac Administrator who can then log a support request on our support portal at www.xrsc.com
    Hope this helps, Rick

  • How to remove flash hotspot using Lightroom 5?

Is there any good technique that I can use to remove the flash hotspot reflecting on oily skin or hair?

Here's a pretty interesting video tutorial:
    Shiny Skin Retouch in Photoshop
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyRFSA3K4zk&feature=youtu.be
The technique described seems very complicated to me, but there is one suggestion that I found useful and it can be done in Lightroom.  You can use the Adjustment Brush to paint a color onto the shiny skin.  The idea is to pick a color of the skin that is adjacent to the hot area.  You do that by clicking the color box at the bottom of the Adjustment Brush panel and then use the color picker to get the correct skin color.  You do that by clicking in the color picker and then dragging the cursor onto the image until you find the skin color you want.  Then paint with flow or density turned way down and slowly build up the color to replace the blown out area.
If you combine that with Rob's suggestions, you may get what you are looking for.

  • How to remove application completely?

    Hello!
I've just found some leftovers of an application I thought I have uninstalled. I tried to delete everything connected to the Cloud application I've had installed, including everything linked to it in the Library/SystemPreferences, but this is still here: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s287/sh/22ae3d46-5b47-4625-9f7d-59e6da55e42f/5947 b284f2dab2fb5fed7cde49c924f2
It's in the System Preferences - Users & Groups.

Select the item in that list then click on the Delete [-] button.
    For future reference:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper 2.0.1
        2. AppDelete 3.2.6
        3. Automaton 1.50
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner 2.1.0
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash 1.8.2
        8. Amnesia
        9. Uninstaller 1.15.1
      10. Spring Cleaning 11.0.1

  • How to remove keychain completely

Hi, I bought a second hand Macbook Pro 2010 which has a Yosemite installed. Previous owner has given me the ID and password he used so that I could reset them and so I did. Now every time I open an application like Google Chrome or Skype I have to enter a Keychain password which I find quite annoying. Anything I can do to remove the annoying message popping out every time I click on an application? Thank you

Errr...thats no good then, it keeps prompting me to login to Keychain under user "login" whch I have not set any password for (I even tried root password but still does not work) and when I try to update the password, I cant, as it keeps saying that I need to enter the "Current Password" which I have no idea what it is. I did delete the user/account "login" as per some guides, but it keeps on reappearing, is this because I am trying to modify the built-in Guest account? as per my previous post:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5817151
I am modifying the Guest account because I want it to reset back to the template even after users try to change stuff (modified it so it has the company wallpaper, browsers set to company websites, and customised the dock)
Keychain didnt act up this way in previous versions, it was all fine back in Mountain Lion.

  • I want to remove flash player settings manager from my Windows Laptop, How is it done?

I want to completely remove Flash player, plug-in and settings manger.
I can uninstall player & plug-in, but settings manager remains.
    I want it gone.
How would I go about this?

I am trying to access Flash player website settings manager.
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l
I link from a browser to the settings manager but instead of a panel there is a download required to get latest Flash Player which I already have.
I have no idea what you are talking about.  Just at what site are you getting this message to download instead of the settings panel?
My ultimate goal is to remove Flash player cookies which I learned about today to be a problem. Thanks.
If you want to temporarily remove Flash Player LSO's(cookies), just delete the browser's temporary files.  If you want to permanently remove LSO's, go to your control panel and activate the Flash Player Settings Manager.  Change the Local Storage Settings to Block all sites from storing information on this computer.  However, most sites with Flash Player videos will not work with this setting.

  • When I turn on or restart my Macbook Pro Retina 15", my entire screen flashes completely bright yellow for a few seconds and then it goes to the normal Welcome screen.  How do I fix this??

    Hi Everyone,
This problem just started today.  When I turn on or restart my Macbook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012 version), my screen is light gray like normal, and then after a few seconds my entire screen flashes completely bright yellow for a few seconds, and then it goes to the normal Welcome screen (where I choose to login as myself or a guest user).  This suddenly started today and has not stopped since.  This keeps happening every single time I turn on or restart my computer.
Yesterday I installed all the Mavericks and other updates that were available in the App Store, so I'm wondering if this is related to that since this never happened prior to my doing those updates yesterday.  When I first installed the new OS X Mavericks (10.9.3) update, it went through the whole installation process (took about 10 minutes), and then during the installation I got an error message saying that it couldn't verify my iTunes application that was on my laptop, and then my laptop finished installing the updates.  Then once my laptop restarted, the App Store "Updates" section said that I had to do the whole OS X Mavericks (10.9.3) and iTunes (Version 11.2) updates all over again.  So my laptop did the whole installation again (took about 10 minutes, but this time I didn't get that "iTunes error message" during the installation process).
Now, when I go to the App Store "Updates" section, it says the following under "Updates Installed in the Last 30 days":
-Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update (Version 5.05) installed May 15, 2014
    -OS X Update (Version 10.9.3) installed May 15, 2014
    -iTunes (Version 11.2) installed May 15, 2014
    -OS X Update (Version 10.9.3) installed May 15, 2014
    -iTunes (Version 11.2) installed May 15, 2014
    -Security Update 2014-002 (Version 1.0) installed April 22, 2014
I'm wondering if this flashing bright yellow screen upon bootup is related to the fact that my laptop installed the OS X Update and the iTunes Update two times each?  Or is this new problem totally unrelated?  It's just that this problem started a day after these 2 updates were installed twice.
My Macbook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012 version) is otherwise working fine at least as of now.  The only issue so far is this flashing bright yellow screen every time I turn on or restart my computer.
If anyone could please help me fix this so that my bootup screen doesn't flash completely bright yellow anymore, I would be forever grateful!
Thank you so much for reading this and for any help you can provide.
    hope everyone is well,
    Elaine

    Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP!  Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process.  Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal.  No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
(Note that I arrived at this solution when I first saw this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570?viewlocale=en_US)
Let me know if this works for you!
