    I was recently given an iMac 2011 for christmas, on first boot up i entered my iTunes details sucessfully and finnished setup. Before doing anything on the iMac I updated the software, however when it finnished the app store said that there was an app update, when I tried to download it said that it was only available for another itunes account "[email protected]". The problem i have is that i cannot download the update unless i sign in to that account, i dont know who this is and wish to remove it from my iMac but dont know how. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

    Me to have the exact same problem, I can not solve the problem.
    To solve the problem:
    1. Download the twitter app from the App Store,
    2. Right click (control click) the app and click show package contents,
    3. Open contents,
    4. Copy the folder that says '_MASReceipt'
    5. Paste that folder in the same location in the app you downloaded off of the Internet, replacing the original one,
    6. You might need to restart the App Store or your computer for the change to take affect,
    Please tell me how to remove this iTunes account?

  • How to delete i cloud account

    two or three years ago, I set up an i pad 2 for my elderly mum.. I set up an icloud account which she has never used..Now, when she opens her i pad ( she has not used it in a long time ) that incorrect i cloud account is showing under settings: i cloud..  I do not remember anything about that account, I do not remember even the password.. But I want to delete it and.. she has a new i cloud account which is the same as her me.com (onboard computer e mail ) account.
    So, if i delete the unused i cloud account, I want to replace that setting on the i pad to the new, daily used i cloud account which she uses now.( she did not like the name on the one I set up when we started the project.)
    QUESTION
    HOW DO I DELETE AN UNUSED I CLOUD ACCOUNT ON AN I PAD 2 ?( it is grayed out when I go there in settings.)
    and make a secondary i cloud account the default i pad account.

    i have an olde operating system.. on Mum's i pad
    I have not updated since I purchased and set the thing up.. It is an i pad 2..
    YESTERDAY is the first time i have looked at it ( or My Mum has looked at it) In about a year. ..or more.. which is why it has remained with the unwanted i cloud account on it.  for so long...the reason for this is lack of use.  I am trying to encourage her to use it more.  I have "add(ed) account at i cloud , putting her preferred i cloud name in, so that is done.. that is a secondary i cloud account.  I just want to remove the unwanted ( default).
    When I saw your screen shot which you kindly sent me,
    I went to my own personal i pad 3 ( I0S 8.3) and saw all that your screen shot ( thank you ) displayed.. But it is not the same on hers.
    she has a way older OS.  like 6.2 or so.
    she has no "share my location' or the other things shown on your screen shot.
    I am afraid that i just need to muddle through..All i know is that the information was grayed out at her settings page of i cloud on i pad.
    and saw no delete this account at the bottom of the page...nor sign out..
    further note:
    I just went to "i cloud.com" and logged into that antiquated account (from my personal computer.)
      It is still an active account at i cloud.com.
    I wish I could delete it from i cloud.com, but I think you said that I could not remove an i cloud account from i cloud. (That is what I understood.sorry to be so thick headed)
    I just need to remove and replace it from olde i pad.. which I will continue to try to do.

    I think i am temporarily in a pickle.
    When i log on tomorrow, at Mum's house.. I may ( with the help of your responses) be able to clear the whole thing up.
    I know I was unable to do so today...following the logic that I needed to find a 'delete this account' or "sign off" on the settings page of i cloud on i pad

    I work for an enterprise that uses single licenses for Adobe Acrobat XI.  One of my customers associated her personal cloud ID with her enterprise license.  She decided that she did not want to extend her cloud account, and now, when she launches a .pdf, it prompts her to renew her subscription. 
    I have had a chat with the mostly useless people who forced me to create an account, to try to associate a license with it, but that is not what I want.  I need to completely remove the association of the cloud from the users machine, so that she can open a .pdf and have it actually open in the software that the company has paid for.
    Neither she nor I want to have it even remotely touch the cloud any more.
    I am looking for a registry key that I can delete or turn off, so that it stops associating with the cloud, so that she can use Acrobat when not connected to the internet.

    If this is something that has occurred recently it should be easy to sort out just unlink the device and revert to the previous version of bookmarks by using the restore option in the bookmarks library. With luck all you will loose is the last set of bookmarks added.

    It is reduculous to not be able to merge accounts.  I created an account with a user name and that was my original setting, then itunes would not accept the user name that I had all of my purchases with and made me use my e-mail address for the user name and create another account.  Now I have two accounts with many of the same purchases, but several that are not, and my iPad is on one account and my iPhone is on another.  I can now access either one on iTunes, but I cannot share the same purchases across the two of them.  This problem was created by Apple iTunes, and not me.  Now you say that I have to spend a lot of money to re-purchase many of the same  things again so that I can put both my iPad and iPhone on the same account.  It's no wonder that so many people are stuggling with whether to continue using iTunes or not.  You have way too much control over your users.

  • How to remove the cloud from itunes

    I moved my itunes from one pc to another and now most of my songs are in the cloud and need to be downloaded to be used.

    I suspect that you haven't moved your library successfully and are therefore seeing the cloud links to your previous purchases after signing in to your account, like this.
    Might be time to have another go at bringing the library across. These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
    Backup the library with this User Tip.
    Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
    Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
    Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
    Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
    Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
    I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
    Note if you have failed to move contacts and calendar items across you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should  merge the existing data from the device.
    If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
    Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.
    Alternatively, if you've "restored" your libray to somewhere other than <User's Music>\iTunes then hold down shift as you start iTunes, and choose the library in its new location.

    try this.
    Quit Skype. From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click Quit.
    Press WinKey + R to open the Run window
    WinKey (the button is located between the left Ctrl and Alt with the Windows logo)
    Type: %appdata%\skype
    Simply delete / rename the folders of the ones that you no longer wish on the Skype login in window.
