How to remove install OS X icon after installation?

After I completed the installation, everything works great, except there's an "install OS X" icon on my desktop everything I restated my Macbook Air... It's like a disc icon, I can eject it..but will reappear after restart of the machine. It's not impacting the operation, but just a bit annoying.
Any trick to get rid of it ?

Hi,
No need to customize the ibeCCtdMenu.jsp to remove the icons, It is enough to change the Profile option "FND Branding size" to the value "Medium" or "Small".
After changing the profile option value, bounce apache. The links will be dispalying now without icons. Try out this!!

Hi,
I know how to remove when we have a mx component i.e.,
<mx:Tree folderOpenIcon={null} ...../> similarly for
closed and default leaf icon.
But how do i achieve this from an action script like say i
have,

or any other alternative.

the folderOpenIcon is a style so you have to set it with the
setStyle method
try:
tree.setStyle("folderOpenIcon",null);

How to re-install CS5 Design Premium after MacBook crash

Hello All!
My MacBook pro crashed after a failed Yosemite update and I have to erase my hard drive. When we re-installed it I had lost all of my applications. I cannot find my discs for CS5 but I have my serial number online. Can anyone please tell me how to re-install all my Adobe applications?

I did end up getting CS5 Design Premium installed but I’m having problems updating the following 3 apps and here is the error messages I’m getting:

How can I install the programms again after a system restore?

After my system went down, right after installation of the programms with the Adobe Applicaton Manager, I had to restore the system. Of course by then all the installed applications weren't working.
I will have to reinstall them. But unfortunately I can't download and install the applications again because AAM thinks they are allready installed. Thus far nothing works. Who can help me?

Run the Cleaner tool to remove all the Adobe Software and then check in the AAM.

Does anyone know how to remove a hard disk from the 15" 1.67ghz Powerbook? I can't find instructions anywhere. If anyone can point me to a service manual or something similar I would be most greatful.

If you click on....
Blue Apple ( top left of your screen there ) > System Preferences > Accounts > Log in items.
Is preview highlighted there?
If it is, you can " de-select " it from the list. That should cure the problem for you. I hope it does.

How can i change port No 1521 after installation

Dear all;
I have finished installing oracle database 10g, infrastructure 10g and BI 10g in one machine ,but after installation i found that the infrastructure use the same port 1521 of the database, and as a result the application server services not working like Forms, OC4j_bi_forms and report , so, how can change the port number after installation and how can i pass this problem during the installation??

actually after i installed the db10g and developer 10g and when I start the installation of the infrastructure I get the following message (that telling me that the port 1521 on my host is used by another product and if this port is being used by Oracle Network Service listener version 9.0.1 or higher, may I elect to continue the installation) , so I decide to continue the installation but after that I noticed that not all the oracle application server service not started and when I start forms as example may be the OC_4j_bi get down, and so onâ¦ and when I discuss this issue with another DBA he told me that this problem because of the using of the same port.
Finally i would like to solve this problem by any case even if i re-install the S/W again, but i'm afarid that i face the same problems.

How to remove Homegroup and Libraries icons from 7 RC desktop (after Vista upgrade)?

I took the plunge and upgraded my Vista 64 to Win 7 RC. The upgrade process lasted over 6 hours (some 300GB on my C:drive with Vista), but, once completed, it has been working really very fast & smoothly. The original Vista system is backed up of course on an external HDD.
What annoys me though, are 2 stubborn system icons on my 7RC desktop, Homegroup and Libraries. I don't use Homegroup and Libraries can be accessed via Taskbar or Start menu, so I want to get rid of these two icons, but they cannot be remove from the desktop as such, like "normal" icons.
Personalize -> Change Desktop Icons doesn't seem to offer any solution for these 2 icons.
I never had those desktop icons on earlier clean installs of Win7 Beta (on separate dual boot HDD), only now after the massive Vista->7RC upgrade.
I also have retained an earlier "unofficial" other Win 7 7100 on another HDD (with less installed apps.), for comparison.
Is there any registry hack or other method to remove these desktop icons?
I'd be grateful for a solution.

After hours of being annoyed........
1. Homegroup Icon:
open my computer, control panel, system and security, administrative tools, services, then scroll down to: homeGroup listener and homeGroup provider, disable both. close out, log off. the icon should be gone when you log back on.
2. Libraries Icon: carefully.......please, if no experience in registry get help.
go to: start, run, type in: regedit, select the HKEY_Local_Machine key, navigate down finding: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
You will see several hexadecimal strings, select each one in turn, and the right pane will show you which icon is being selected. my library icon was the very first string and showed two lines on the right side of the page, first being: usersLibraries and the second being: remove message.
when you find the appropriate library string, make a new folder in your my documents named: registry back up, then highlight the string on the left, go up to the top left of the registry page and click on, file then export. save the registry file in your new folder location. I also saved the two files on the right side of the page and named them what they were called on the page, so I would know what they were. (not sure I had to but did)
After saving the registry files, next you can delete the string you have highlighted on the left which in turn, shows the name userLibraries (on the right side of the page).
Poof it is finally Gone! available in your saved folder

You cannot delete the itunes app. Try Settings - General - Reset - Reset Home Screen Layout. Check Restrictions to see if iTunes is on or off.

How to remove AppStore application from autorun after login in to system?

I installed Yosemite (on clean disk) and now after login in to the system, it every time ask me about my credentials to AppStore and run Appstore application when I do enter apple login. What should I do for remove it from autorun?
P.S. I do not see AppStore application in System Setting -> Users & Groups -> Login items.

I use the method below to sort the columns before displaying to the user and it works okay

            this.getRowRecord1().addSort(testCriteria);the problem is in every rows i have edit button where user can edit and update particular row.
the problem occurs whenever user change the value for particular field that is being sorted the row will jump randomly according to the sort rules.
My Question is , how can we remove or disabled sorting as soon user see the result so it wont be jumping around if user changed the value of particular field that is being sorted.
i dont find any removeSort() function in Rowgroup
is there another way??

i tried to put
rowGroup.clearSort() in my Destroy() Method but is not disabling the current state of my rowgroup
what it does is the moment i click edit button for particular row
that row will jump to some other page ( because i did pagination on my table ) because the sort has been cleared .
How do i clear and use the current state of my rowgroup after it has been displayed.

Hey I tried that before and it work but yesterday I was using my phone while talking to someone so I rest it down on a table then phone screen went black n when I press it it never responded so I need normal procedure by taking out the battery it load up then froze coming to the end of the loading bar it froze again I waited for a while took out the battery waited for 5 minis same thing I waited for 10 minis same thing so I waited 30 minis or more same thing

How can I install Safari for Yosemite after I uninstalled Safari?

I uninstalled Safari hoping to remove some type of bug that I could not remove in extensions or add-ons. Last resort type of thing. I do not have the installation disc since I made the upgrade via the App Store. The only solution I see is a reinstallation of Yosemite which seems like using a tunicate when a bandaid would do.

You will need to reinstall Yosemite:
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
