How to remove MusicApps folder?

Hi,
I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress music phone.I had installed the touch guitar application previously which created a folder called 'MusicApps' in my menu. Now after uninstalling the application folder is still there. Is there any way i can remove it.
My second query is about videos. I have observed that most of the formats wont play on my phone.I have tried converting them using Nokia PC suite.Most of the times it gives unsupported format error.(Can Ovi suite solve this problem? I have used Ovi suite before and found that its extremely slow compared to PC suite.)Sometimes the videos with same format and bit rates won't play o the phone.Is there any solution for thisAny specific codecs i need to install? I have tried K-lite and Xvid)..

If the folder is still in the menu, try options->organise->mark the folder by touching it once->options->delete.

An application (Kaspersky Antivirus) is installed on quite
some Win2K-SP-Workstations by the Kaspersky Administration
Kit (with its own installer).
With this installation an entry to the start-menu is made
and this entry shall be removed by Zfd 3.2-SP3. I ran
through some tests with an application-object (run as secure
system user), which only intent was to remove this entry.
First I tried by "Distribution Options - Application Files"
to remove the folder "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All
Users\Startmen\Programme\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for
Windows Workstations". Then I tried a "Distribution Script"
with "RD /S /Q "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All
Users\Startmen\Programme\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for
Windows Workstations"", which also failed.
Do I miss something? Where could I check the results of
those tries to get a better feeling on what is going wrong
here?

When doing the job with an *.bat-file it works, when going
with the distribution script it does not. Are all the
windows/dos/batch commands available in the distribution
script option?

How to remove a folder from iphoto?

hi, i imported all my picture folders to iphoto and now trying to remove a folder from iphoto, just don't wanna see it there but i still want it in the system.
any ideas?

Ok, I am new too mac, so learning all this too but here is what i found to delete a folder out of iPhoto but not delete it from your HD.
My scenerio. I importated all my pictures from the "Pictures" in the "Favorites" within Finder. Unfortanutely, there were some iChat icons within the picture folder that i didn't want in iPhoto. What i found was that when i delete the pictures from iPhoto that they do not get deleted from the location on the mac hard drive...yipee!!! Here are some more details for deleting the folder but not deleting them from their location.
Selet the "Photos" in the left panel of iPhoto...select the folder but not on the name, this will highlight all the photos, then open the folder and drag all the photos to the trash...empty the trash on the iphoto application...the folders will be moved to the mac trash...empty the mac trash to just clean up your mac trash if you want. You can check the original location of your imported folder to make sure the pictures are still on the HD before empting the mac trash...my guess is they are.

Hi, I've been reading discussions and posts related to a problem I have with folder permissions.
The thing is that every time I use my USB drive on any computer running windows at the university I end up with virus on it, some of which seem to leave some folders that i cannot remove. I used Ubuntu before an it was easy to remove that kind of files.
I don't know what am I missing now, I've tried 'rm' with sudo and as root, 'rmdir', I've changed flags with 'chflags' and tried also 'chmod' but nothing works.
How can I remove those folders??

If you are getting "Operation not permitted" when using sudo or as root it is possible you have an immutable flag set.
Take a look at this User Tip; Dealing with Immutable Files and Folders. It would also be a good idea to look at any Access Control entries, so add an 'e' flag to the ls, ie ls -aeOlR …. Post back with the output from those commands if there is anything you don't understand.

alberto(me) privilege: read and write
staff: read and write
everyone: no access.
I selected apply to enclosed items.
what is generating that "shared folder info?"
How do I remove the "sharing" of my home directory?
(In other volumes, and in the top of my home volume the permissions are: system red and write, admin read and write, everyone read only, and there is no "shared folder" info in that volumes).

That last item is usually problematical. Applying to enclosed items can cause problems with permissions.

If you have a backup, revert to the time when it was working properly.
(In other volumes, and in the top of my home volume the permissions are: system red and write, admin read and write, everyone read only, and there is no "shared folder" info in that volumes).
There have also been many bug fixes since 10.5.2 which you indicate you are running. You might consider updating to the latest version of Leopard.

The Archive Mailbox is for iCloud. It means you are storing archived messages on the server. If you don't have a message in it, try quiting mail and restart mail and see if it disappears.
If not, you may archive set on an iPhone or iPad to store them on the server. Open up iCloud mail on those devices and go to the advanced section of that account. Look for archive and check to see how it's set. If you change it to local, that should remove it from mail's sidebar.

When saving files under options the file name is duplicated how to remove extra folder with the same name

Under Firefox Options I clicked Saving Files under Downloads but the file name appears twice and an extra folder with the same name is created within the folder i.e.:
G:\Akbar's Songs\HAMARA FORUMS DOWNLOADS\HAMARA FORUMS DOWNLOADS
As you can see the folder is repeated, how can I correct this?
Also the music files I download from a site downloads as WinRar file and I need to open it. Is there an option where the files open automatically in the folder I have selected?

The "beta" version is for testing and may be more prone to problems, so I suggest trying the regular version (9.20) even though it hasn't been updated since 2010.

How to Remove Public Folder Replicas?

I am unable to remove the Public Folder Database . Every time I try, I get the error:
   The public folder database specified contains folder replicas.
   Before deleting the public folder database, remove the folders
   or move the replicas to another public folder database.
The public folder database has no Public Folders in it - it is completely empty. I've set replication to "Never" but I still get this error. The UI does not expose the replica list and the set-PublicFolder command does not
have a provision for having an empty parameter for the -Replicas switch.
I can't just simply delete the database itself since then the Exchange Uninstall will fail the pre-checks and won't uninstall and I need the roles removed, etc. from the registry.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

had the same issue with this script as kenaska. Use the Microsoft suggested commands on this page to remove both user and system public folders, and then you can remove the database. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201664%28v=exchg.140%29.aspx

To remove it from the folder it's attached to, ctrl-click on that folder and scroll down to "Remove a folder action". To delete it entirely from your system, delete it from

Removing a folder from the recent places

I have many Mac and i love it with the new mountain lion. However when I want to save anything i notce that in the "where" drop down menu i see a device tap, favourite tab and a recent places tap. in the recent places tap i see a folder that is only accessible through the library of the machine and it was a pain to get there. how can remove these folder from the recent places tap and and the one i really need.

If you can make the display only show that music, then you can hit CTRL-A to select all visible music and then press delete to remove it from the library. Alternatively, you can use SHIFT-Click to select ranges of tracks, or CTRL-Click to select multiple disconnected tracks. Same thing, just select it all and hit delete.

When you delete the song, a menu will come up and ask you if you want to trash or keep the file. Select "keep file." It will no longer be in your song list but it will remain on your harddrive. To add it back in use the --"add to library"-- command in the drop down "File" Menu (you have to navigagte to where the song is stored on your hard drive and select it-- to add it back in.
Re: it ended up in the wrong album
If your songs are going in the wrong place go to the "Get Info" command and check the information under all the tabs (look at a song that's in the right album to see how it's listed) -- one or more of the boxes is incorrect or empty. Just put in the right information and close the info window. That should put it back in the right spot for you.

How to remove picture in Desktop Pictures Folder

I'm fairly new to my iMac...I've had it less than a year. Somehow (don't ask me how!) I've managed to get a couple of personal pics under the" Desktop Pictures" folder that is found when you right click on the desktop and select "Change Desktop Background". When it opens there are several folders under "Apple" one of which is "Desktop Pictures". The ones in question are pictures I'd previously used as my desktop background, but I do this all the time and none of the others have ended up stuck in this folder. I don't know how I did it, but I did and I can't seem to remove them. It's not a life or death situation and I can live with it, but to be frank they are pictures of an "ex" and I'd prefer to remove them if possible. Please advise.
