How to remove old NI Imaq if it is not in add remove programs

I am upgrading from 6i to 8.o fo rlabview and vision development module.
I need to remove my old IMQ before the new one will install. It is not listed in my add/remove programs. How do I remove it?

IMAQ 2.5.1 was a subcomponent of the LabVIEW installation and will reinstalling LabVIEW to remove the component.
Uninstall LabVIEW 6.x using Add/Remove Programs. This will remove the previous version of IMAQ.
Install LabVIEW 6.x (or if possible, just install LabVIEW 8.0). You will need to customize the 6.x installation so that IMAQ 2.5.x is not installed.
Proceed with your upgrade.

How do I unstall elements 6 in XP it's not in Add/Remove Programs

I had elents 6 and when I installed 7 it said I didn't have to remove 6, so I didn't, just in case I didn't like 7 or needed 6. Then I forgot about 6 being there and when I installed 8 it said I didn't have to uninstall 7, so I didn't uninstall it either. Now I found 6 and want to uninstall it but it is not in Add/Remove Programs, I searched the KB and it said when it couldn't be uninstalled with Add/remove you could do it manually. then the directions for manual uninstall says Open Control Panel, go to Add/Remove programs, and uninstall Elements 6. So it says essentially "if you can't do "This", then "Do This".
After listening to music for about 40 minutes on the telephone, the Tech Support guy said I would have to pay him $40, or go to the KB . I told him that the information in the KB was wrong when you searched "Uninstall Elements 6" and he said the only thing I could do was pay him $40, non refundable, and that if something went wrong with one of the other Adobe programs I would have to pay them to fix that!
ANY SUGGESTIONS. . . PLEASE, otherwise I'll just leave 2,000+ files that take up half a gig, and hope it doesn't give me other problems in the future. I was considering just deleting the Elements 6 folder and then use system mechanic to fix the registry. or IF I can find the original CD, can I use it to uninstall it, or could I reinstall it, without it screwing up my 7 and 8, and see if it shows up in "Add/Remove Programs"?

Find the original CD and launch the Setup. If it doesn't give you the option of removing the current installation, install PSE 6 again and then uninstall it from the Control Panel.
If that doesn't work, then you can follow the instructions in the tech note that you were reading:

Just skip the first section, "Run the Photoshop Elements 6 Uninstaller". The remaining sections will lead you through a manual removal. (I agree that the instructions are confusing.)
But it's better to do reinstall and then uninstall if you can.

How to Uninstall iTunes when not in Add/Remove

How do you uninstall iTunes when it does not appear in Add/Remove programs. For the record, I have used the Window Install Clean-up Utility as described in another thread. Although iTunes appeared in the utilities' list, and seemed to process my request to uninstall (it disappeared from the list), all iTunes program files still remain on my computer, and the icon still appears on my desktop.

How do I uninstall firefox when I cannot find it in 'add/remove program'

I am trying to uninstall firefox from my window 7 notebook but I cannot find it under 'add/remove program' in control panel. I have come across suggestion to delete the Mozilla firefox folder from program x86 but I worry that this method may create problem by leaving orphans in the registry.

You appear not to be posting from Firefox and so I wonder have you already uninstalled it ?
Uninstalling, gives you an option to leave behind personal information. If you will never use Firefox again you may not need that and the Firefox profile may be deleted. Possibly the profile folder is what you are seeing. Note the profile contains your Firefox bookmarks and normally if uninstalling Firefox you may wish to first of all export those as HTML that may be used elsewhere as bookmarks / favourites.

Quicktime not on Add/Remove

My Quicktime, which is apparently the reason my iTunes update is worthless, does not appear on the add/remove programs menu. Instead, the only place I can find it is in the control panel itself, and even then, it does not have an option to uninstall. How the heck do I get rid of it so I can reinstall it?

If QuickTime is not in the add/remove control panel then the uninstaller was most likely removed from the registry. If the uninstaller was just removed from system32 or where ever it hangs out it might still show up in the add/remove control panel, but not work. You could try going to start>programs>Quicktime>uninstall. If that don't work you will have to delete QT manually.

Uninstall missing for adobe 9...not on add/remove programs

I have 2 adobe readers now. The desktop has adobe 9 and adobe x (inside says 10.1.1). Downloaded newest a while ago. I think I thought it would automatically uninstall 9, but I may have uninstalled it but is still there, because there isnot a line in add/remove list. There is a line for the reader x (10.1.1)

Is it really still installed, or is it just a non-functioning desktop shortcut?

Previously iChat had tried a Last Chat/IM option when using Saved Transcripts - which itself was an option.
iChat has also tried "Saving" the Last Chat by leaving a Chat window open and using something similar to the Lion method of showing an app in the state is was closed in.
In Messages the option to Save Transcripts has been removed and Chats or all types are saved as a matter of course.
What this tends to mean for your iChat style Buddy Chats is that it opens all the Transcripts for that buddy as a sort of History you can scroll back through if you want (I have some Buddies with saved chats gong back to 2004)
With the Syncing of iMessages with iPhones and iPads (or Touches) then it seems this works slightly differently.
Although you can delete the chat and the contents of the Chat as separate action it is true that in the Beta as soon as you connect to the same Contact that the contents of the previous chats are shown to you.
I have found that Messages stores a data base of info on iMessages in Your Home Folder/Library/Messages
I have found that deleting this chat-db removes the "History" that keep popping up.
By default the Saved "iChats" are also stored in the Home Folder/Documents/iChats (At least this is the default place iChat used and they go to the same iChats folder where ever you had it)
Some people claim removing iMessages saved here stops the "History" reappearing.
In Lion the only access to the Home Folder/Library is via the Finder's Go Menu and hiding down the ALT key

There is this tool bar, it says powered by wimba, it just showed up today. I have tried add block plus, I have googled and tried things suggested there, and yet I still have it.

OK, so I have gone into iTunes on my desktop computer and completely deleted podcasts that I no longer want. I synced my phone (4S) but the podcasts are still showing on my phone. I am already unsubscribed, but I want to totally DELETE them. Why is this so hard?
Also, why doesn't Apple bring back the right-click delete option in iTunes?

Under "My Podcasts" swipe down to reveal a search bar, to the left will be an "EDIT" button. Press and delete the ones you want. I agree it's not very intuitive, should just be like any app, hold down and either move or delete.

Removing email accounts on one computer but not wanting to remove on all computers on the same network.

I have a MacPro desktop and a Macbook Pro. I would like to remove my apple email account from the Macbook Pro but do not want to take the chance of losing the same account on my MacPro desktop. They use the same internet connection and network. Can I just remove the apple email account on the Macbook Pro? Both computers are using OSX 10.9.5.

I'm assuming the account is IMAP. You can safely remove any IMAP account and all data will be left on the server for other devices.
When you check to disable, the account will simply gray out and no longer connect.
