please help me remove the other files section. its higher than my apps and higher than system.

Short version;
Delete any file downloaded through apps like UCbrowser and YouTube Downloader and use storage schecker to remove temp files. Having Other storage be large is not bad by definition. No longer needed space will be released as it is needed for other apps..

I found that you just can't remove this stuff. Other people said removing old messages, music, browser cache, facebook app, removing album arts, voice recorder, etc.
Name the solution people suggested, and I've tried them all, and nothing really works. Stuff will come back again.
Restoring as new iphone works initially to about 800MB for me, but it will get the Other to balloon to about 2GB for me after resync my photos, and music.
I've submitted a feedback to Apple http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html perhaps there's a button to clear old/stale items in there. At least something to clear it out, and let the apps rebuild the index/databases, whatever they need to function. You should do the same, tell them.

Concerning how the memory is used on the Iphones under the "other" category, I have found that the biggest culprit is text messages that include photos and videos sent and received. Think about it, when you take a picture and then send it, even though you delete it from your camera roll, it is still necessary to hold in memeory as being part of the text history. It is only removed from the phone when you delete it from the text message as well. This also applies to text messages received. This is a large hidden area to most people!

Restore the iOS. You may have to do this as a new phone (without using a backup). Note that "other" contains messages and emails - if you have a lot of these, especially with photos/videos, that would account for the other usage.

What "app cleaner software" ? I ask because installing Photoshop over a previous version has never been a problem. Perhaps your difficulty stems from another source, eg. "cleaner software" ?
If you look in your hard drive, at the root level there is a Library. In there is a folder called Application Support, and in that you will find a folder called Adobe. Files from your previous version are there.
However, I urge you to call Adobe support to make sure you are not doing anything that would mess up other Adobe applications.

I am creating external table to import csv file into table...I put csv file in this directory(c:\temp1\hr.csv)...while importing, the bad file and text document are created..Actually the client does not require this....Can anyone say how to remove those files while importing?

First of all bad file contains those record information which is rejected for any specific reason. So, you can get some valuable information regarding the rejected records. But, still if you don't want to keep it - then you can do it with a java based procedure. I don't thinki you can do it directly through any oracle procedure. Because, you are about to access the o/s system files. I don't think that can be done directly using Oracle Pl/SQL - which i'm not sure.

If it is a security issue, you will probably need to implement a custom dialog and actively filter for file types. No matter what pattern you have showing, the user can type a pattern into the dialog and get anything they want. In addition, file extension is not sufficient to determine file type. You should probably check the file itself to ensure it is an HTML file and does not have any embedded nastiness.
Fortunately, custom dialogs are easy to make. Using the event structure, you can filter inputs as well, so that only HTML files will be accepted. Good luck. Let us know if you need more help.

I was trying to change an Administrator Account by starting from my Leopard Install DVD and from the Utilities menu choosing Reset Password, etc. A longish story involving my inability to shut-down the computer while others are signed in but not actually using the computer. In Tiger I was able, since moving to Leopard I need to go into each of their accounts and manually log each of them out. A headache.
For right right now I need to get rid of the Other... account name, etc from my sign-in screen. How do I do this in plain English please? I find all this Admin jargon does my head in.

OK I have deleted all old texts, voicemails and turned off the document and data to my iPhone 5. I still show 1.5 GB of "OTHER".
Any other ideas on how to remove this 1.5 GB of information.

2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.

You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

I don't know how to remove the files stored as 'other'

After transferring my ipod from one computer to another, the ipod capacity has increased with 'other' in orange on the summary pane. This has taken up about half the space on my ipod and I don't know what 'other' is!

Other can be Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. or (and this doesn't apply to the iPod Touch or iPhone which don't have the option to be enabled for disk use), files that are on there if you are using the iPod as a removable storage device.
If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

does the time stamp with the ":" a part of your output file?
else use a replaceAll function in your mapping and replace the : with empty string then use the value in the variable substitution
Another option is use the normal BPM for 1: N message flow. The use a simple java mapping that will introduce a dynamic configuration and you can create the file name as you want. the java mapping will be used in the flow of messages from BPM to target system.

I've not long worked out how to do basic things on my iMac but have had some coaching on other forums, as it goes this happened to me this morning.
Inadvertently, I managed to get all pdfs into ibooks and faced similar "delete" problem, couldn't drag the files out of ibooks either: Accidentally I found all ibooks info in a library through finder, took a while but right clicking "move to trash" got rid of them but not from pages/documents!
Re-opening ibooks initially showed the pdfs still in place, except after double clicking one a message appeared telling me the file could not be opened, then immediately the remaining books were shuffled and pdfs disappeared - still in documents though, and able to open.
Hope this helps, there may well be an easier way...
