How to remove out-of-the-box policy violation from Database Control

Hi, I just installed a new Oracle 11g box with a new database created using DBCA with all the out-of-box settings.
Using database control, I can see a lot of "policy violation" warning etcs. For example, one warning is "Control File Permission (Windows)". Apparently, it is complaining about the control file permission bit. So I go in and remove all permission except for systems and the oracle dba group ORA_DBA (in window). Still it is complaining. How do I fix it?
Thanks for any suggestion

It should disappear after you have "completely" taken care of it. If you think you have, then you can use "Manage Policy Violations" to ignore and clear them. But do not do this if you have not taken care of it.

  • How to disable an out of the box disable User process task  from resource?

How should I disable the out of the box disable User process task that is assigned to a particular resource? If I disable this disable User process task, when the user is provisioned to the same resource will I be able to stop this disable User process from running?
My requirement: I need to disable the disable user process task from three resources x, y and z. Whenever a user is provisioned to one of these resources I should stop this disable user process task an out of the box process task from running. How can this be accomplished?? Please help me out on how to configureto remove the process task in the OIM Admin console to stop the process task.

You can avoid the disable task from triggering by removing the Disable Process Or Access to Application from the task effect drop down in the process task. But this task is triggered once the user is disabled. But still I didn't understand the exact scenario.
By the way the disable task is triggered when the user gets disabled and not when the user is provisioned.

  • ESOA and Out of the Box services doubts

    Hi,
I am reading about PI 7.1 and going through eSOA architecture. What I understand is, The eSOA says that we have some out of the box services avalable from SD, for example creating a sales order. This can be exposed as a web service from R3. When this available as a web service, and if the calling application is capable of calling web services, where is the need for PI? Why do we need to use PI for SOAP to SOAP communication?
How inside out and outside in approaches are different in eSOA architecture as far as PI and R3 are considered? Can some one clear my doubts?

no, no, just hints and personnal opinion
eSOA is SOA from sap marketing point of view. It was ESA, but nobody undertood, so, they changed the name to eSOA. Don't mind about the name, it is all about to have services well organized (someone could use "orchestrated") supporting business processes. Different than having function modules published for remote use
Well, developers has almost nothing to do with soa (but they want it We want (as developers) to make soa, but it does not work. This initiative (as sap really got in its soa name) need to be from enterprise level, and probably do not apply to mid-sized companies, only to the big ones.
Software architects will be probably disapointed (at least untill PI7.0 that we have here) and start to build their own components and their own soa strategy - very hard working.
I didn't find any of called "out of the box" sap services that really match our requirements, but found many bapis and standard functinos that do that. So, most of our services are based on using many different standard functions to provide a complete service, using sometimes ccBPM, sometimes abap proxies, sometimes soap to soap, sometimes RFC, even depending on requirements, but all of them centralized at PI to help on the governance of all those services.
Did you tried to go through ES Workplace and its forum? I think is a good starting point. You can get an user id to try the services there and make some experiences.
    reagards.

Hello Everyone.  I am selling my 2006 Mac Pro.  How do I reset it so that the passwords are removed and settings are as if it is just out of the box.  Thank you for your help.

Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This will install the version of OS X that originally came with your model if you have a model that supports Internet Recovery - 2010 models and later: Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery.

  • In search of assistance learning how to modify the mail message from an out of the box SP2010 approval workflow.

So, I have found the article
http://punaro.com/2012/01/derek/modifying-a-sharepoint-2010-workflow-email/comment-page-1/ which appears to walk through the process of modifying an out of the box workflow's mail message.
However, there is a basic problem that I run into before I get started.
I am logged into the system as a regular user (ie not a farm admin, etc.).
I do, however, have full control on the site on which I am working.
    I create a custom list.
I create a simple one step approval - sharepoint 2010 out of the box workflow.
I start SharePoint designer and give it the URL of the list. It opens up and I see the various objects on the left side of the screen.
I click right on the Workflows object - which is where the article says I will find the ability to copy and modify the workflow.
All I see is "open", "open in a new tab" and "Pin".
I selecdt open in a new tab - and I get a blank screen labeled workflows that says "There are no items to show in this view".
So, I click on Lists and Libraries, then on the name of my custom list.
When the list displays, the Workflows section of the page has a "Modified Workflow" displayed.
When I right click on it, no menu is shown. When I click on the modified workflow, I get the workflow settings page for that workflow.
I am trying to figure out how to create the copy of the workflow so that I can modify one of the mail messages in SharePoint designer.
Is there someone who has some advice on how to find this copy and modify option?  Or perhaps a web site, web forum, article series, or book covering the topic?
    Thank you!

    Hi lwvirden,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to modify the OOB approval workflow in SharePoint Designer.
After opening the site in SharePoint Designer, just click Workflows in the left panel and then the workflows in the site will load in the right part.
If you want to copy and modify the OOB approval workflow, then you need to right the approval workflow
Approval – SharePoint 2010 under Globally Reusable Workflow. After that you will see the
    Copy and Modify button.
    Best regards.
    Thanks

  • How do I start over and bring my MacBook Pro to a brand new out of the box state?

I have a MacBook Pro with Retinal Display purchased in June 2012.  I have backed up once using Time Machine. How do I put it back to the brand new just purchased out of the box state? Any ideas?  I have done this with windows computers, but never a Mac.

To restore your MacBook to factory settings, you have to use Internet Recovery. Follow the steps:
    1. Press Command, Option and R keys while your Mac is starting, and open Disk Utility.
    2. Select Macintosh HD in the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
    3. Close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X. This can take hours because your computer has to download OS X from the App Store.
After restoring the computer to factory settings, open App Store > Purchases to download iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand

  • How do I return my MB Pro to it's "out of the box" state?

I have a MB Pro 15". I just got a new one yesterday, and my new co-worker will be getting this one. There is nothing we need to keep, so a backup won't be necessary. How do I go about deleting/reseting everything to it's original out-of-the box state, and make his the new admin, etc?
    Thanks!

Start up from your install disc, go to Disk Utility and select the disk and click erase - to securely erase data click Security Options and Erase Free Space which will entirely wipe your disk, overwriting it with zeros so that no data is recoverable.

  • Out of the box initial setup locked up - how to re-run it?

Unboxed our iMac 27" yesterday and as it was going through the first time setup, when it asked to take a picture to associate it with the user account I created, both buttons were grey-ed out and couldn't take a picture either.  I let the computer sit for a good 15 minutes in case it might recover, but it didn't.  I held the power button in long enough for it to power off and to my suprise, the setup didn't pick up where it left off or resume.
Since I had already created a user, I could log in and it seems that all is well.  Should I bother attempting to re-run setup - I've seen some posts on how to boot into another mode and delete a file to get it to think it's new out of the box again.
What steps were missed?  Was it almost complete?

I'd call AppleCare (# in manual) and let them walk you through it. It's free and they are very friendly and courteous.

How can I replace the out of the box photos with my own when music is playing?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Select any photos you want to share with the Apple TV using the iTunes advanced menu (using iPhoto is the better option but a folder will work). Once all the photos you want are shared, go to settings > screensaver on the Apple TV and choose which of those shared photos you want to use with your screensaver.
