How to remove Quota limit reached?

In my notes, everytime I edit a note, this notification pops up as "Quota - Quota limit reached." and then deletes the current note I'm editing. This is rather frustrating, because I do have some important notes and everytime I go to use it they get deleted after this notification pops up.
I did go through my notes and delete a bunch, but there are less that 15 notes and as you can see in the photo this account has 3 and I've definitely had way more in the past. Does the Quota extend to other applications as well?
Thanks for the input!

Yes. A ton of my notes got deleted, but no, I never got them back, in the sense that I found them somewhere. I'm afraid to say that once they're gone, they're gone. I'm sorry. :/ However one thing I've learned is that to make sure I don't lose any of them (at least not completely) I should send them to myself. I also make another copy of it in my notes and if I edit any of them I just copy and paste it yet again to the extra. It's a really good method and luckily a lot of the notes that were deleted were sent to my email so I had them saved for good. I am a writer sort of, so I write stories on my iPad or iPod since I don't have a computer at the moment, so it's really depressing when one gets deleted. I started doing it simply because they were randomly getting deleted even before the quota limit reached thing. I'd click on one and would be greeted by a blank screen, then when I would go back, it would be gone. So to make sure they don't get deleted, email them to yourself and make another copy! Hope I helped a bit. c:

  • Quota limit reached on my iCloud email?

    Hello,all of the sudden I am getting the error message "Quota Limit Reached" when trying to send emails from my iCloud account on my iPhone.

  • Quota limit reached?  Delete Mac Mail messages?

    I'm a bit confused (make that VERY confused).  I keep getting this "Quota limit reached" message.   Apple iPhone rep tells me that I have to start deleting my 25,000 Mac Mail messages.
    Thing is, I don't have time to delete even half those messages.  If I have to, I will but is there another easier way?
    I don't really need Mac Mail on my iPhone anyway.  I'd like to just delete it all together buy iPhone Apple rep said that I can't because it's synced?
    I don't get it.
    Please help!  Whatever answer anyone gives me, please don't make it too "techie" --as in assuming I know more than I do.
    BTW, I am still using 10.5.8 on m Mac Book Pro.  Making an appointment today with Apple store to get this done.  Can't do it myself as I have some tech glitches that may cause problems if I try to do do this--so I need professonal "Genius Bar" help.
    Just thought I would add that in case it's relevant to this process.

    Go to iCloud.com and click on mail. Then you can delete multiple messages quickly. All you have to do is hold your shift key and your up or down arrow keys to select multiple messages. If you have important ones, you can select up to those ones and delete the junk.
    Or, you can buy iCloud storage. Which is 20 bucks for 10 gigabytes.

  • Quota limit reached

    When I check my iCloud storage, is says I have 4.7 free gigabytes, but when I try to send an e-mail, it says "Qouta limit reached". Please help!

    Are you exceeding any of these limits (from http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4863)?
    The total number of messages you can send each day (200 messages)
    The number of recipients to whom you can send each day (1000 recipients)
    The maximum number of recipients per message (100 recipients)
    The size of incoming and outgoing messages (20 MB)

  • Quota limit reached when checking email...what does this mean?

    I'm getting a similar message on my iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iMac when I am checking email.
    Can someone help me figure out what this means and how to fix it?

    A mail quota is the amount of space reserved on the server to house your email messages.  If you don't delete messages from your mail server, your mailbox may have reached the storage limit set by your Internet Service Provider.
    On your iMac,
    Open Mail. Click the Mail menu and select Preferences.
    Highlight each mail account and click the Edit button.
    Click the Advanced Options tab and check the Remove copy from server after retrieving a message option and select the desired time from the drop-down menu.  There is also a "remove now" button you can use.
    Click OK and close the Mail Preferences window.

  • How to remove User IDs for deleted users from the Disk Quota list

    Hello,
    We have a computer lab setup with an Xserve managing 15 stations in the lab. Users are setup with networked home directories and quota's are setup on the drive containing the home directories to limit users' storage.
    The user account and the quota limit are setup with Workgroup Manager. When a student has been gone for a while and we are sure they no longer need the account we delete their account within Workgroup Manager and move their Home folder to the trash.
    When viewing disk usage in Server Admin (by selecting the volume and clicking the Quatas tab) user ids for deleted users are listed and it still shows the disk usage and quota settings for the user.
    How can I remove theses user ids from the quota list?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Did you mean copy files to a new user profile? If so, hope this link can be helpful for you

    For the unknown user, as you said, it's probably a user account from second OS or
    action. If you're annoying about this unknown user, then you can remove all occurrences of granted rights to the specified SID with this command icals [/remove[:g|:d]] <Sid>[...]] [/t] [/c] [/l] [/q]

  • Account Limit Reached what does that mean and how to get rid of it?

    Account Limit Reached what does that mean and how to get rid of it?
    This cause me not to set up iCloud, so now what?

    I found this out on another thread
    There is no solution. There are limits to how many iCloud accounts that a device can have activated. It doesn't matter that it was by a previosu owner, it's the device that matters. Everything you do using an iDevice is tied to it's ID number, even Mac computers. This applies to the Apple store as well as the app store and everything iCloud related.

  • "Subscriptions limit reached for same user" validation error when trying to create a subscription to a product - wha can cause this?

    Hi,
    I've created a third product level called "partner" other than the two that come as standard.
    I'm running through the process of taking an existing user from the starter product to the partner product, and am subscribing the user to partner before removing the starter subscription. There seems no problem with a user having both a starter and unlimited
    subscription, but am getting the following error when subscribing to partner.
    "Subscriptions limit reached for same user"
    This is using a subscriptions put. The same code works fine when upgrading to unlimited.
    What can cause this?
    Andy

    Hi Miao,
    The function to promote someone to partner is:
    public async Task<ActionResult> ToPartner(string id)
    //add partner subscription
    var prodId = await APIMHandler.GetProductIdFromName("Partner");
    var subscriptionId = Guid.NewGuid().ToString();
    //set apim role to partner
    var partnerId = (await APIMHandler.GetGroups()).First(a => a.name == "Partners").id;
    await APIMHandler.AddUserToGroup(id, partnerId);
    if (await APIMHandler.SubscribeToProduct(subscriptionId, id, prodId))
    //disable starter subscription
    await ApimDelegationController.HandleFreeSubscriptionRemoval(id);
    //set local role to partner
    await UserManager.AddToRoleAsync(id, "Partners");
    return RedirectToAction("Index");
    Where subscribetoproduct is:
    public static async Task<bool> SubscribeToProduct(string subscriptionId, string UserId, string productId)
    //The REST API and the delegation are inconsistent in how they represent ids.
    if (!UserId.StartsWith("/users/"))
    UserId = "/users/" + UserId;
    if (!productId.StartsWith("/products/"))
    productId = "/products/" + productId;
    var client = new HttpClient();
    client.DefaultRequestHeaders.TryAddWithoutValidation("Authorization", "SharedAccessSignature " + CalculateAcessToken(ApimIdentifier, ApimPrimaryKey));
    var uri = ApimBaseUrl + "subscriptions/" + subscriptionId.ToString() + "?api-version=" + ApiVersion;
    var response = await client.PutAsJsonAsync(uri, new { userId = UserId, productId = productId, state = "active" });
    if (response.StatusCode == System.Net.HttpStatusCode.Created)
    return true;
    if (response.StatusCode == System.Net.HttpStatusCode.Conflict)
    var error = await response.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
    return false;
    if (response.StatusCode == System.Net.HttpStatusCode.BadRequest)
    var error = await response.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
    return false;
    var errorf = await response.Content.ReadAsStringAsync();
    throw new Exception(string.Format("Error in SubscribeToProduct: return status {0}. Content: {1}", response.StatusCode.ToString(), errorf));
    The status code is "BadRequest" and the error provided earler is returned.
    So at this time the user is added to the "partners" group, but I can't subscribe them to the Partner subscription, which is accessible to members of the partner group.

  • How to remove previous owner's Apple ID request from App Store?

    When I try to update an app App Store asks for the previous owner's Apple ID and not for my Apple ID. How can I change it to ask for my details?How to remove previous owner's Apple ID from App Store?

    Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
    The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
    How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
    It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
    1. If you don't own another Mac
    a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
    To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
    2. If you do own another Mac
    If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    3. Partition and install OS X
    a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
    b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the  Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
              OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
              The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
              You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
    In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
    d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    4. Other issues
    a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
    c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.
