I am using adobe acrobat x pro. I have a pdf file of version 1.7 which showing embedded xml forms. I tried to remove all the 'embedded xml form' by using Adobe Live cycle Designer ES2. Then i tried to reduce the version by using Adobe acrobat x pro but it's still showing that there are some 'embedded xml form' for which it's not allowing me to reduce the vesion of pdf file in Adobe Acrobat x pro and also i want reduce the version of the pdf 1.7 to 1.5. Can you please guide me the step to reduce the pdf file version and how to remove the embedded xml form from the pdf file ?

When i export a filled in user registration form, I get these black layers around my filled in answers. I would like to remove these layers because I need to send these filled in forms back to my clients because they need to sign them.

Removing field borders is not supported at this time for HTML based workflows. If this is a PDF based workflow and you had a full version of Acrobat you could set the field properties manually to not show borders.

If the source (browser -> view source) of the customization form contains something like "<FONT CLASS="OraHeaderSub"><NOBR>Query Options" then you could add the following code in the "Report and Customization Form Text" section, Header Text:

where XXXXXX is a color that matches that of the background. Then, you should change the image /images/beigepx.gif for an identical one with your background color.

How to remove service names

One thing about oracle that I am unable to understand is that when we uninstall oracle, all the service names for its different services stay there in the services section in WindowsXP. I know how to remove the instance name services, but I am unable all the other services. Does anyone know how to remove all those services?

a launch daemon should normally have a .plist extension. did you skip it? that would explain why the command gives an error.
the command you are using is basically correct. you don't need sudo because the daemon is in your home directory. also, to unload it so that it doesn't load automatically on the next login you should use -w switch. this will add a 'disabled' flag to the daemon. the syntax is
launchctl unload -w /path/to/daemon
However, as others have said the best thing is to trash the daemon and log out/in. you don't need it for anything as you've removed the application that created it.

To remove from search results...
Central Administration > Application Management > Manage service applications > Search Service Application > Crawl Rules
In the Path enter: *://*/DispForm.aspx* and for the Crawl Configuration check "Exclude all items in this path" and check "Exclude complex URLs (URLs that contain question marks - ?)"
You will then need to do a crawl of your content to remove any URLs that match this path.

I untar the file on my linux machine however the extracted files don't
seem to contain any installing program. I didn't find products.jar in the
files and there are no script to install the software. I read the attached
doc, however it only assumes that the installation is from CD-ROM. The doc
doesn't help anything for this downloaded software. I wonder if anyone
here know how to install it. Thank you so much.

There should be a text based installer in the /orainst sub-
directory
In that directory, just run the script:
./orainst
The installer seems to require libXm.a, which wasn't included in
my RH 7.1 installation, so I had to install the motif-
development libraries before the full install would complete
successfully.

Because some users have javascript disabled in their Acrobat readers I’d like to remove all javascript from a pdf-form I have so that the users with js disable don’t get the dialog every time opening a file. As far as I know there’s no need for javascript on the page. How do I disable or remove js from a pdf-form in Adobe Livecycle Designer ES 8.2 ? Thanks!

Thanks Paul! I had not noticed that there was more to the script editor than met the eye (the resize thing) Here is a picture of what I found.
I followed your instructions and deleted the lines with line numbers. Now when I saved and re-opened the document my “Events with Scripts” view is completely empty. Still when I open the document in Reader it says “This document contains JavaScripts. Do you want to enable JavaScripts from now on? The document may not behave correctly if they’re disabled”.
Any ideas what to do? When I select “Show all events” there’s a lot of lines with (JavaScript, client) after them.. could this have something to do with it?

The spelling suggestions cannot be disabled.
The dictionary is associated with the language set in Settings > General > International > Keyboards. You can turn on more than one keyboard (i.e. English and Spanish) and the dictionaries for both languages will be used. If it still suggests an inappropriate word, just to tap the suggested word to eliminate it - doing that adds the word you actually typed to the user-defined dictionary, so it shouldn't suggest an alternate next time.

Yahoo Messenger by default installs a number of extras such as the Yahoo toolbar and a browser plus plugin. There are a couple of places to check to uninstall these. If the Yahoo toolbar is not listed there, you can check the Windows control panel. The BrowerPlus plugin will probably also be listed in the control panel.
You should be able to remove it from the Windows control panel.
