How to remove right sidebar in pages?

I really enjoy a distraction free/ minimalist view when i'm writing. the only thing preventing me from having that in the new pages version that came with Maverick is that right sidebar. Can someone please tell me how to remove it?

Click on the Format or Setup button on the toolbar, whichever is active (blue). Or View > Hide Inspector (Opt-Cmd-I).
Also in addition to hiding the inspector try, View > Hide Toolbar (Opt-CMD-T) in fullscreen mode -- you can really focus on your writing.

i would like to know how to remove the sidebar folder under the places section. reason being i have a folder that i previously place it on the sidebar but now i cant click that folder anymore. therefore i want to remove it.

Navigate to Users/username/Library/Preferences and find the file named, "com.apple.sidebarlists.plist" and move it to the trash. Empty the trash. Then restart you computer and the sidebar menu will be cleared of all added aliases. You will have to create them again.
If this doesn't work, launch the Terminal.app in the Applications/Utilities folder.
In the terminal type: (or copy and paste this command) "cd /Library/Preferences" (without the quotation marks) after the promt line and hit return. This will bring you to the directory with the "com.apple.sidebarlists.plist" file.
Then type: "rm com.apple.sidebarlists.plist" (without the quotation marks). This will remove that file.
Then restart you computer and the sidebar menu will be cleared of all added aliases. You will have to create them again.

How to remove extract space between pages in smartform without changing output

Hello Experts,
I've been given a requirement where I need to remove extra space between pages of a smartform (refer to the attachment). If you look at the following screen shot then you will notice that that there is a command provided to display details on these pages which has a checkbox 'Go to New Page'.
When I removed the above New Page comment then still I don't see the expected output (Refer to the attached screen shot 'Expected' to see what I need).
Also there is another there is another New Page command (as shown below).
When I tried to removed the above New Page Command then output was totally changed which user don't want (as shown below. Table should have been break on BCVI on red line, which happens today but with so much extra space).
To view the correct output how user want please have a look at 'Expected' screen shot.
Now the question is what change I should make in my smartform to accomplish the expected output.

I think that it should work, this construction of an loop node including all relevant items and at the event TAB event sort field only these items are copied in the OUTPUT_TAB which should be printed in a separate table on the form. After having printed the table, the content of the internal table is cleared.
I suppose that you first should check if this TAB "event sort field" includes the correct criteria for the necessary group change. If this event is really defined correctly, then I only have one hint for you.
I know that the only possibility to define a page break in a table in the Window MAIN is to use the following technique:
Define an outside loop node and in this loop node a table node, but this table does not have a internal table to be looped through. It includes only the fields to be printed, maybe you have to re-design your table node.
By the way only then you can define a command node including a page break during the processing of an internal table.

My env is like the following.

i tried the file upload/download sample.
Uploading and Downloading Files in SAP NetWeaver 7.0

Of course, it works well in normal situation but FileDownload shows
unnecessary behavior like the following.
- How to produce : Download file with allowSave behavior option
- Phenomena : File Download pop-up window is displayed but the
    unnecessary blank(white) page also displayed and this page
    persists even when the download is finished.
And is there any way to remove this unnecessary page behind the
pop-up window?

Hi,
    It is not possible to close the blank window that appears while downloading programmatically from within your Web Dynpro application. The user must manually close it.

How To Remove Banner From Customize Page

I have a customize page for a report. When I click on customize link on my page, it brings the customize page for that report. However, I have the Home link that appears in that customize page. I know how to get rid of the Home link in my page, but how do I get rid of it in the Customize page?

We have the same problem - we need to remove all the header information - including the "Home link" - that includes the image and the "Customize" header and the little database image. We also want to either display a custom header - OR eliminate the section entirely -
- there is a problem - there are a set of generic buttons - "apply" and "cancel" -- these would be better displayed in the portlet customization area itself - which gets rendered by our customization portlet.
I need to eliminate or customize that stuff.
Any thoughts - anywhere I can go to modify that class - anything?

Search syntax for Safari history? how to remove items from specific pages?

I'm using Safari 5.0.3 and I prefer keeping the browsing history quite long for accessing contents I had been searching in the net some weeks ago.
However, that way I'm collecting lots of clutter and therefore I'd like to remove selected entries from the history, e. g. from the page where I'm reading daily news etc.
I tried to use the search field (accessible with Cmd-F in the history view) to search for parts of the corresponding web address, e. g. "http://www.heute.de", but I do not only get the history items from that site but many others from google and other pages.
So I'd like to know: is there a search syntax to use the search field, like address=www.heute.de* which enables wild cards, operators like OR/AND etc.?
If not, is there a 3rd party tool which can help or can I use spotlight/the finder to find and remove the unwanted items from the browser history?

there might be ready-made apps or add-ons to do that - but this may help...
quit safari, open Home/Library/Safari/History.plist using PrefSetter
enter the url you want removed in the search box, no need for quotes - say www.google.com
expand the 'web history dates' section at left to see individual results, then select the first one & shift-click the last (don't use select all) to highlight/select all the results - then press the delete key to remove them. Then save the file.
Naturally, a backup copy of history.plist would be wise - but the above seems to work very well.

How to remove "Subscribe to this page" option on bookmarked pages?

When you have bookmarked a page, a button is displayed in the "awesome bar" that gives the option to subscribe to the page.
Is there a way to remove this button from the toolbar?
I hate this button being in my URL/search bar and have not been able to find a way to remove it anywhere.

go into your about:config and filter "extensions.abhere2.bmsmenu.subscribe"
double click and set the value to false.

When I insert a section break for new page, the header that is on my 1st page of the template is repeating. Is there a way that I can stop the header from repeating on the last page? Please help me out with this issue.

Thanks jimr for the response. This solved my problem.
The steps I followed are:
Click on section2 header. click on 'Link to previous'button on the headers toolbar so the link between section1 and section2 is removed.
Remove the header on the new page (section2). The header on the 1st page is retained while the header on the 2nd page is removed.

How to removed dashed lines from "Page Break View"?

Hi,
In Excel 2010, I found that once “Page Break View” is selected, there will be dashed lines across the view even after returning to “Normal” view. These dashed lines can be distracting.
Is there a way to remove them?

File -> Options -> Advanced
Scroll down to Display options for this worksheet and remove the tick in Show Page breaks.
Unfortunately it's sheet specific so you'll have to do it everytime it happens until you've done all the sheets.

How to remove MULTIPLE sidebar items from finder?

I accidentally dragged about 1,000 folders into my finder sidbar. Crap. I'd really like to get rid of them quickly and not have to drag them out one at a time. Any ideas? I tried trashing the com.apple.sidebarlists.plist but it didn't do the trick.

I have Path Finder installed and it turns out that the Path Finder plist was also storing the sidebar items. If I just trashed the finder and sidebar plists, the Path Finder plist would automatically repopulate the items. Trashing all three plists at the same time with Path Finder closed then relaunching Finder solved the issue!

How to remove "Firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading" message bar at top. It appeared at the same time I lost local news on my homepage. Neither Tools or Preferences seem to have a solution. Any suggestions?

There's no "options" setting in Tools.

Trying to figure out how to remove the background image page divider on this viewer.
Default style:

but it broke all the other styles such as the viewer tools.
