i was listining musing On iPod touch sudden its music stop and it went to in sleep mode i am worry that is there any Problme with My Ipod i am not able to Open My Ipod it turn off even i try to Press turn on Button 3 , 4 time not opening my Ipod(turn on ) even i Have charge My battery also Then also am not able to Turn On my Ipod i dont know how i ll fix it please help me and tell me it is Porblme with My Ipod or it will turn on after some time ???
Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.

Well, like the title already says, my MacBook Pro 13" Retina just entered into Sleep Mode again after I exited it. It took a few seconds, during which I could do stuff on it, like write on Messages.app and browse the internet. Then the screen just went black, and after I pressed a few buttons, the login-screen appeared again.
Any idea on what the source of this could be? Is it just a settings-goof (which I still have on default), or is there something major behind it? ^^" Mind you, I'm running it from the battery, it's not plugged into a power supply socket.

Just place the Elapsed Time VI inside the WHILE loop, and wire the 'Time Has Elapsed' output to the conditional terminal in the lower right corner (which should be set to 'stop if true' by default).

but the funny thing about it I called the original owner he said he didn't loose his phone ... apple need to fix this junk cause it dnt make sense that the we cant contact the original owner but yu call their number that they put in case of lost phone and they dnt know what you talking bout ... SMH

How to initiate sleep mode with x61.
Hi there,
I just received the x61 latop and I am trying to determine the best way to turn on the sleep mode when I take the x61 out of the dfocking station. Is it even possible? I have a scheme set up in Presentation Director when I remove the laptop from the docking station but it does not make the laptop sleep. I could not find any option in Presentation Director to do this. So what is the best method. I guess the only time I would want it on is when I take out docking station to go home. Then I would want it on. However to take it out of the docking station and take it to a meeting I guess I would not want to turn on sleep mode. So I have two scenarios. To take out of docking station to go to meeting and to go home. How can I make the distinction in Presentation Director to only put it on when I go home?

Computer enters sleep mode shortly after leaving sleep mode. Defect?
I have a problem. It's not a serious problem, but since it seems to be hardware related it might cause problem in the future.
It's pretty simple. Let's say I fold the computer screen down and leave the computer in sleep mode. If I then fold it up again it will automatically enter sleep mode once again 25-30 seconds after waking up. It doesn't matter what I do. I can be completely passive or open any app and move the cursor as much as I like. After roughly 30 seconds the screen turns black and I have to press a key to wake it up.
It never enters sleep mode any other time if I don't choose so, it's always after being in sleep mode already. And it happens 80-90% of the time, but I have not noticed a pattern for when it doesn't.
Naturally my settings are in order. I just updated it today and no difference after one attempt with the new OS version.
Any ideas?Sleep.
Shutting down a Mac is never required. It is best to let it sleep, unless you are planning to not use it for a period of time considerably longer than a few days. -

Recently, I found that the windows was wakeup once I touch the mouse when the laptop was in the lid closing position. A wireless mouse connected into my laptop. After I close the lid, the windows turns to sleep mode. But once I move the wireless mouse, the windows is wakeup with closing lid. How can I fix this problem？ I dont want the window wakeup once I move the wireless mouse. I just simply want windows turns to sleep mode after I close the lid. My operation system is win 7.

Go to Solution.Uncheck the Wake computer checkmarks in Device Manager for your wireless mouse. If it's Bluetooth, disable it for that too.

HP Pavilion DV6 Sleep Mode Issue After Windows 10 Upgrade (Goes To Sleep After 2 Min Of Inactivity)
I recently upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The upgrade went smooth and everything appears to be running fine except for one anoying glitch. After approx. 2 min of inactivity my laptop atuomatically goes into sleep mode and logs me out. I have checked all my power settings/sleep settings/screen saver settings...etc and I have completed all the windows updates. I don't see any timers anywhere that require adjustment. Any help would be appreciated. Note: The laptop wakes up fine with no issues.

And yes, I've shut dwn and restarted multiple times, rebooted in terminal mode and run fsck, rebooted and reset the parameter ram, yadda-yadda......

Before Resetting the SMC
Try each of the following steps in this order before you reset the SMC. Test the issue after completing each troubleshooting step to determine if the issue still occurs.
Press Command + Option + Escape to force quit any application that is not responding.
Put your Mac to sleep by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Sleep. Wake the computer after it has gone to sleep.
Restart your Mac by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Restart.
Shut down your Mac by choosing the Apple () menu from the upper-left menu bar and then choosing Shut Down.
Resetting the SMC on Mac portables with a battery you can remove
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery (to remove the battery - click here: MacBook or MacBook Pro).
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Still having problems? Replace steps 6 and 7 with the following:
Reconnect just the MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer,
Then reconnect the battery.
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if it's not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time. The power adapter indicator light may cycle off / on once.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer. -
Sleep mode issue after Mountain Lion

Thought maybe it was caused by dropbox, google drive, twitter, clocks or logmein, but even after clsoing all of these and putting it to sleep it still happens.

Geforce GTX 550 Ti doesn't resume from sleep mode sometimes after BIOS update
Hi there,
I updated the BIOS of my main board Z68A GD65 (G3) yesterday to the latest version on the MSI site (E7681IMS.P80) and I noticed that my PC doesn't always resume correctly from sleep mode now.
It seems that it works when I resume immediately, but after a nights rest the display remains black, although it looks like the PC itself is starting correctly (mouse, keyboard hdd etc)
Anyone know what this could be? Should i change a setting in the BIOS maybe?
MarcelI`ve updated BIOS but problem wasn`t solved.

G4 sleep mode problem after latest update (10.5.8 build 9L30)
Hi,
My 'old faithful' 17" G4 PowerBook 1.67GHz behaves differently after the latest SW update to 10.5.8 build 9L30:
When ordered to go to sleep mode (german: "Ruhezustand") either by Apple-menu command or closing the display does no longer result i slowly flashing white standby-LED but the LED remains dark and the PowerBook will not resume when the display is flipped open again or the power-button is pressed.
It can only be reactivated with <ctrl><apple><power-button>.
Before that, it behaved as expected i.e. resuming operation after flipping the display open again or pressing any keyboard key when in power save mode.
The behaviour is the same if operated without attached power supply.
Any idea?

Your solution is perfect if the UIX beans on the page do not have BC4J binding with a VO attribute, otherwise, Sumit's soution is appropriate.
