How to remove the old files from the IDE?

Hi All
I'm an newbie to OAF.
I have created a simple page using OAF.
In the next time if I try to create a new workspace and Project and a new page then the old content(created previously) remains in the same package path and it is getting displayed in the new project also.
How can I remove the previously worked content from the new Project.

As my understanding, As soon As if you delete from files from project (just click on file and press cross button in system navigator)
it will not delete permanently from disk, it will delete from only project.
Check directory path for this.

How do I remove an old file from the Finder Favorites list?

Good Afternoon.
I have a shiney new MBPro with 10.7.1.
On my old machine running Snow Leopard, I had two .xls files I used often that I had dragged to the left side into the favorites. The truth is, I hadn't used them in months, but hadn't bothered to remove them. Then about ten days ago, the Bad Thing happened, and I had to replace my laptop rather suddenly. The nice folks at the Apple store transferred all the data and I was off an running in just a few hours.
Now, I thought to myself, I should remove those two files since I don't use them any more. But how?
If I click on them nothing happens. If I right-click on them, nothing happens. I can't drag them out because they don't drag and they aren't listed on the list of favorites that can be toggled on and off in preferences.
I checked. The files did still exist but deleting them didn't remove their names from the favorites list.
Any suggestions as to how to remove these two .xls files from the Finder's Favorites list?

Just hold down the CMD key and drag them off. How simple is that?? They didn't klnow this at the Genius bar when I asked this morning. I am amazed.

I need help.
I read a lot of book from my iPad.
I have no problem gelting my books from iTunes to iPad. Problem is, now there is lot lot of books in iTunes, and tis difficult to figure out which i havnet read. So how do i remove them from iTunes. Hope there is a way.

You can definitely delete the books from iTunes! It is the same as deleting anything else from iTunes:
Delete an item from your library
Click the item to select it, and press the Delete key.
Click Delete Item.
Do one of the following:
Remove the item only from your iTunes library: Click Keep File.
Delete the item from your computer: Click Move to Recycle Bin. The item is removed the next time you empty the Recycle Bin.

I am planning to automate deletion of older archive log files from my 11g R2 Production instance which is ASM managed.
Also want to remove the archive log files files from standby database.

CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO [CLEAR | NONE | APPLIED ON STANDBY];
DELETE NOPROMPT EXPIRED ARCHIVELOG ALL;
DELETE NOPROMPT ARCHIVELOG ALL COMPLETED BEFORE 'SYSDATE-10';
This will be part of your RMAN Backup scripts/process

When you are designing a book, on top of the viewer you buttons to edit the layout of the pages.
The following image will show you the button I'm talking about, it's the grayed one, if you leave the mouse pointer on it for a second you'll see it's called 'edit layout'. Click on it and then you can select and delete all the text boxes you want.

How can I use Dreamweaver to remove all files that are created by Contribute? To terminate Contribute and it's checkin/out system and everything Contribute might place on the remote server?
In the site settings and on the local side I have removed all Contribute settings, .LCK files and notes folders that I could find.
Still remains is Contribute's interfering when I use Dreamweaver's FTP function.
How do I eradicate Contribute for ever from this domains server?

The Firefox/FireFTP is just a workaround and not a solution to the Dreamweaver issue. I've had the same problems in the past with trying to delete directories.

With disk use enabled, you just open the iPod in Finder. You should be able to see the folder with the photos in it. If you want to copy them to a place on your computer, just drag them there, or to delete them altogether from the iPod, drag them to the trash.

The existence or non existence of the email address associated with an Apple ID is not relevant to the functionality of the iCloud account.
You can go to http://appleid.apple.com And Update the associated email address to a new functional one.
Make sure you sign out of iCloud on your iPad in, Settings->iCloud->Sign Out, before updating. Then Sign bakc in after you have updated the email address.
Thus you keep all your itunes purchases and content in iCloud associated with that ID.

HOW TO GET OLD FILES FROM HARD DRIVE? HELP!!!!

hello. so i changed my 320gb HD to a 1.5tb! its running good. the reason why i changed it was because it went white with a folder that had a question mark blinking! so i inserted the disk that came with it and it wouldnt come up on "select a destination" and when i would go to disk utility, it would only show "Media" (which i believe was suppose to be my hard drive), Pioneer CD-RW, and the Installation Disk. so i decided to buy a new and bigger HD and did a partition (dont what that means but it worked) and installed Leopard. now its working good. i just need help on how to get my old files from this old HD i have in hand (the 320gb). like what do i use? can i put it in a PC? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If the old drive is not accessible then, no, you will not be able to access all your files on it. In this case you may need to look at the following:
Basics of File Recovery
Files in Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location. OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone. Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.
General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten with recovery software such as Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

I want a new Imac Core 2 Duo how do I move my files from my PowerPC G3?

I want to get a new Imac Core 2 Duo but I can't figure out how to move my old files from my very old PowerPC G3 to a new Imac when I get it -- which I hope is very soon. The G3 has a CD drive but it is not a CD burner, has a Zip Drive, does not have firewire ports or USB ports -- how on earth can I move my stuff over to the new computer? It does have a 10baseT port [I think that's what it is] -- maybe that's the key? I hope someone can help.

2sockeye, yes, you can use the new mac's Migration Assistant Program to help you move files etc to your new mac via a firewire connection.
Before you do that, search more on "migration" etc on this Discussion; Move only your data files (music, photos) as much as possible but do not move applications and especially system files, preferences that may or will override what's in your new Intel mac, it will cause corruption or an unstable system.
Download and install all the applications from ground up, especially 3rd party utilities etc - look for the Universal versions (either stated, or with a blue "ying yang" logo)

No, when you go through the beginning of setting up your new Mac, a page with the Migration Program would appear, and ask you questions on how and what kind of migration you want to perform, it will also ask you (with given instructions) connect the 2 macs up with a firewire cable - this cable goes into your firewire ports
If you don't have a firewire port on your old computer, then search again in this Discussion and under the Support tab, whether on how to transfer data on macs without FW ports

Yes, gladly. I am trying to install on a 13" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3. I insert the disk into the SuperDrive. The I work '09 window pops up with two icons: one Tim install and one that says "Read before you install iWork." I double-click on the "Install iWork '09" icon, and a window appears that says, "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." I click "continue" and see "Welcome to the iWork '09 installer." I click on "Continue." The "read me" bullet on the left lights up, and I see "Read before you install. . . ." I click "Continue," then see the software license agreement. When I click on "Continue" again, I am asked to agree, and I do. The window then says, "Standard Install on 'Mackintosh HD" and indicates how much space the program will take.
I click "Install," enter my password, and the installation begins. It goes through a validating phase and begins "writing files." It indicates that installation will take about 30 minutes (although that number fluctuates). After about four minutes it goes to "cleaning up." Then after just a few seconds, the "Summary" bullet on the left lights up and this message appears: "There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again." There is a large yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and a bold "The installation failed." Below that appears "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. Pretty much the the email that I used (but didn't verify) to create my iCloud account was hacked and now I can't remove it from my iCloud account due to the iCloud password also being changed by the same person and the fact I had "Find my iPhone" app on my phone also??? I had to change my iTunes email as well but that was far easier so yeah :S.
Please help. I live in NZ, out in the country, so reception is rare and so is getting into the nearest town that has an Apple Store.
