How to remove 'tik tik' sound while recording voice/vocal.

I'm trying to record voice/talk for a radio show using GB app. Everytime I hit record button is records fine but also record TIK TIK sound continuously through out the recording session. I don't know what this sound is. I'm just using headphone mic. I don't have any other mic to attach.
Thanks!

I don't think we have these options here
I don't have the iPhone, but probably the iPod is similar:
Try to press the cogwheel at the upper right of the screen. Go to the "Song" settings, not the "track" settings.
The Metronome is the top most option.

  • Sound while recording with audigy 2 zs plati

i have the audigy 2 zs platinum. i'm using the /4" line in 2/mic in 2 to plug my guitar into. i can hear the guitar fine until i hit the record button on my software. it records what i'm playing, and will play it back with sound, but, again, no sound while recording. i also noticed there's no "li've" sound during playback. i've checked connections, and installed the latest drivers for the card. i'm using adobe audition 2.0 to record. please help!

Sure. Selecting "Line 2" records the signal just after it has entered the main CL chip, and selecting "What you hear" records the signal after it has been through the mixer/effects DSP in that chip. It's likely that CL lowers the volume a notch to reduce the chance of clipping from mixing/effects processing. Note that the signals at that point are 32-bit, so that some additional headroom really doesn't lose you anything; all you need to do is to raise the recording volume a bit to compensate.
The card's unity settings are designed for 50% on the recording slider and 00% elsewhere (i.e. there is a 2x digital multiplier on the recording slider). You may get some useful insights from a page I have: <a href=http://pages.sbcglobal.net/hamakerd/sbsrc/ target=_blank>http://pages.sbcglobal.net/hamakerd/sbsrc/[/url] by following the Additional Information link at the bottom, and seeing my comments (under the General heading) about how I determined the recording volume settings I used in that testing.

  • HELP!! No sound while recording thrugh M-Audio firewire 410

I am using Logic express 7 with an M-Audio firewire 410. I have my guitar plugged into the mbox and Logic is picking up the signal from my guitar, but I cannot monitor the sound while recording OR hear anything else at all. When I unplug the mbox, however, I can hear everything that i just recorded along with everything else in the song fine. I just need some help figuring out how to monitor the sound, PLEASE!!!!

Logic always uses the same audio interface for input AND output, so I suppose your problem is that you do not have any speakers connected to you M-Audio interface. Try adding a pair of speakers to it. If there's still no sound, go to Logic's audio settings and see if "software monitoring" is active or not.

  • How to fix the delay problem while recording? Can't set the Latency to 0. Win7, CS6,Realtek,C03u Mic

I am using Win7, with CS6, Realtek soundcard and Samson C03U microphone.
There is a problem that's really been bothering me. When I record songs the recorded audio always comes 0.1 seconds after where it's supposed to be and I need to fix the problem every time. How to fix the delay problem while recording? I can't set the Latency to zero. The minimum is 30ms and I still get an obvious delay.
I saw some previous discussions saying that installing ASIO would help. Is it gonna work on my PC?
    Thank you in advance guys.

You probably should look at a more 'serious' audio interface rather than the Realtek
Yes ASIO drivers are the way to go
If you want zero latency you need to monitor via your audio hardware (hence the 'serious' audio interface suggestion)
There are a heap of reasonable audio interfaces which will do the job for you that are pretty inexpensive and I'm sure that someone will jump in with a suggestion

  • No sound while recording or viewing satalite

;( could someone please explain to me why i have no sound while recording or playing back recorded tv.i have g4 mx440 video card and tuner card.i'm not sure if i am hooking up connections properly in back of comp.need help.thank you ?(

In order to hear sound as you record, you either need to use direct monitoring on your interface (ie, route it's inputs directly to its output), or turn Software Monitoring ON in Logic (Logic -> Preferences -> Audio Hardware & Drivers) - this lets you hear your inputs while recording.

    Hi Anamika,
If you are running your query in Web Portal, it seems your web portal is not defined in RFC connection with system. Ask BASIS to connect it.
Also, You can run your report in RSRT with ABAP Web option and check if it is working on ABAP engine.

  • Yamaha ES Rack -Setup to hear sounds while recording

I am running my radium controller USB to Computer then USB from Computer to Yamaha Rack. I have audio output set to my M Audio SOLO though dont have ES connected to it.
I have set up the ES to USB (in utility) and created a multi track midi in the environment.
    1. Do I set the port for the multi instrument to PORT 1 or to Yamaha ES rack?
    2. Do I need to do anything else in the environment other than create multitrack instrument and enable channels (I did 4)?
3!! How can I hear the ES sound while I am recording?
Thank you so much in advance..Im 15 hours in and read every forum I can find..NO answer..
By chance does anyone have the .lso file for the rack?
    Mr Hep

    Hey Scott
You and ALOT of people are attempting to do this, myself included.
Unfortunately at this point (to my knowledge) it's a pretty CRAP setup involved that will likely leave you frustrated.
    HOWEVER:
A few things CAN be done:
IF you are getting live audio from your partner over the internet, you can re-direct that audio directly into Logic using a program called SoundFlower.
There are a few alternatives to SoundFlower, like JackTrip, and.....(the name eludes me)
(SoundFlower is from a company called Cyling 74 who also makes Max MSP. )
Once in Logic, you set your audio inputs to the track to be Soundflower. (either 16 inputs, or in this case 2)
That all being said, regardless to speed, you are still going to experience latency in the connection, and THAT is the part that will likely drive you to the mad house.
THIS all being said, I believe there are websites out there that are set up to actually do this kind of thing, (at least there WERE) but likely membership costs, and other "hidden" problems that you only learn about after you have signed on the dotted line. (Hopefully I am wrong?)
If you don't need to do a "live jam", there are always solutions like DropBox that work very well for exchanging large files quickly.
If you want to record live MIDI input from his keyboard, I am unaware of any solutions for this.
Due to the popularity of the iPad, you might want to look into the App store, and see if there is something available.
    Good luck!

  • How to Have Effects Turned on WHILE Recording

I want to use Audtion as a live multi-track audio recorder for some multi-cam video work (5 talking heads on lavs).  I want to record with certain effects (compression, limiter, etc.) on WHILE recording--NOT applied to the tracks AFTER recording.  Is this possible?
I can only seem to be able to apply effects to tracks AFTER recording has already occured.

    Hmm... RANT!
    Bob Howes wrote:
Finally, regarding SteveG's slur against TV sound people, I resemble that remark.  Yes, we DID overdo compression but there were some technical reasons for this.  For example, when we converted to satellites for distribution, we quickly found that the satellite system itself would overload slightly below +12dBu on the input.  Not only did this sound bad, the satellite operator would threaten to throw us off (due to interference with adjacent users) if we hit this level--so everything we did had a brick wall limiter above +8dBu.  However, this was still AFTER the production chain, not on the input.  When doing location sound, although I'd leave the limiter on in the camera--but I'd set my gain staging so this was only a last-resort stopgap, not something being relied on to control levels.
It wasn't a slur against the people doing it - it was against TV sound, which, for the reasons you state, generally ends up as crap. It's also worth noting that it doesn't really stand a chance, right from the outset. For some strange reason, pictures always seem to come first. It's ludicrous; turn the picture off and listen to the sound, and you'll still have some sort of an idea what's going on. Turn the sound off though, and you generally have absolutely no idea at all! So which is really more important? Getting some presenter's ugly fizzog on the screen, or hearing what they're saying (I have to be careful here, as I might trip up my own argument...) So in some instances, sound ops don't have a lot of choice.
But overall, standards are slipping even further. Despite all of this legislation from the EBU, broadcasters still can't normalize levels between programmes. At present, the BBC is a particularly bad offender. It's not just compression, it's everything. I've recently watched orchestras being miced up, with some horror - bloody mics everywhere. End result doesn't sound like an orchesta at all - it sounds like a slightly sophisticated big band. So when I go and stick my SoundField (or even a Decca Tree) over an orchestra, people are amazed - suddenly it sounds like an orchestra again! I've asked some of the badly-trained monkeys why they do it like this, and have yet to recieve a satisfactory answer.
But in overall terms I don't care about compression on general TV output - it's only moving wallpaper, and you don't want to have to keep changing the levels, so from that POV it's a good thing; it's 98% rubbish anyway. But it does mean that on better programmes where they compress less - like Top Gear - you have to turn up the volume to listen to it, and be prepared to be deafened occasionally. That's fine, but at the end of the transmission you have to remember to turn the volume down again pretty quick...

  • How do I mute internal microphone while recording video in new ipad

Is it possible to mute internal microphone while recording video in new ipad

No. There is no setting to mute the mic.

  • No sound while recording videos

Side note: I am not familiar with Windows 7 or 8. I am a novice with Windows programs, but I am pretty handy at locating the necessary information and programs needed to complete Tier 1 troubleshooting. Forgive me if I have used the incorrect verbiage.
I have a HP Charcoal Gray 15.6" 2000-bf69WM notebook that is running Windows 8, AMD E-300 EPU HD Graphics 1.30 GHz, 4.00 usable gigs, 64 -bit and I cannot get the pre-installed camera application to record sound. The notebook is running the original software loaded by HP with the exception of MS Word.  I am able to successfully record HD videos minus the audio/sound. I have checked the drivers, device manager, hardware settings, ensured that the default IDT Hi-def audio (speakers and headphones) are set to default under the playback tab (only other option available is communications headphones). The device manager does not indicate that any issues with any component.
Under the recording tab there are external mic (not selected), internal mic (selected as default) and stereo mx (indicates it is set to ready). All the test ran produce ample sound under the sound tab and the recording tab. I have since completed a few sound/audio checks and I have noticed an annoying new development. Each key stroke and movement on and within inches of the notebook emits a shallow echo. I realize that the outer edge of the monitor is a speaker and as I run my hand over and around the outer edge of the notebook, I can hear the muffled sounds you would hear if you ran your hand over a microphone. The only way to get this to stop is to mute the volume completely.
Side note, when I access the pre-installed Cyber Link YouCam, I am able to record videos and playback the clips which include the sound. Should this issue be isolated to the pre-installed camera program, how would I go about uninstalling/removing that and reinstalling it?
I would truly welcome any assistance with this concern. Should more details be required with regards to my system, I am obliged to provide them.
    Thank you.

  • How to remove first two headerlines while appending files

    Hi,
Currently the requirement is client only needs the file name without any time stamp or counter. They do not want to overwrite the records.
They need the csv file structure as:
    Customer
    Custnum,Custname
    123,ABC
While I am using append, it is also appending the first two header lines.
Can you please suggest how to append without headers.

    Hi Swapna
One option is of course to have the flag in the source structure so that you can identify whether it is first run or not. But if there is no such flag in source structure then the only possible solution will be done
    based on a look up.
You can perform the same in java mapping using a hash table which will be updated with the file name in its first run and in the next run you will check whether the file name exists in the has table or not.Depending on that you have to pass the header value.
Next solution can be maintaining a table in ABAP and perform a RFC look up in message mapping.
When the file arrives, its will check whether the name is already there in the table or not. If the file not exists, then it will insert the file name in the table and return true. Based on this you will pass the header names.
When the next file will arrive with the same name , The look up will find that file has already present in the table so it will return false and no header information will be sent. Only data will be sent.

  • How can I pause an action while recording so I can...

    Hi all,
I have made many actions before but I do not know how to do this. Ok I want to make an action which will unlock the background layer then duplicate that layer and add adjustment mask to the new layer, I have gotten all this done. But on the final stage of the action I want to open Shadow/Highlight adjustment window; now at this point I want the playing action to stop while I adjust the S/H then continue after I hit OK. I have tried inserting stop into the recording but that does not work. Is there any way to do this? I am working with PS CS2 on a Mac G5. Thanks for any help!

To the left of the listing of »Shadows/Highlights« in the Actions Panel is a field, which can be toggled: »Toggle dialog on/off«
If You hit that it should turn into a little symbol of a dialog-window (I guess) and on subsequently running that Action You should be able to do edits in the dialog-panel and have the Action resume on hitting Enter.

  • No sound while recording but I can hear during playback

I plugged my iRig HD in my macbook air (Yosemite), opened garage band and configure input output settings. While I was recording couldn't hear any sound but during playback I could hear clearly everything. I haven't got any problem on Amplitube 3. Is there any different settings on garage band?

What if I want to use mac's speakers or an external speaker
As long, as are not recording using the internal microphone it should work to change the output in the GarageBand Preferences > Audio to System Settings and to set the System Preferences > Audio > Output to the internal speakers or the internal output , if you have speakers plugged in instead of your headset.

  • No sound while Recording

Sound is fine while watching TV or listening to the Radio.
Jumper is setup going from Line Out  [tv card] -> Line In [sound card]
Settings in the software player are as such.

Anyone have any idea's about this please let me know.

    Furthermore ....
Gameboy is not alone in his harsh opinion of this card. A number of other posts that I have seen in this forum, reflect his view. Most of these opinions are based on the difficulty of getting a successful install and ironing out problems with the outdated Intervideo/Connexant software/drivers that are being used.
The fact of the matter is that the card itself is cutting edge technology   that is having growing pains. If you want to use yesterdays technology to be safe, you're welcome to it. I for one have spent over four months resolving software issues with this card, fully expecting to be rewarded with the full functionality of this card, and I was not disappointed. I did not for one moment believe that the problems were insurmountable, the solutions were just difficult to isolate. In the end the solutions were really trivial.
The real issue here is not the card but the support.
(To be fair to MSI, after months of no response to my problem reports, I made contact with an MSI Tech Supporter as a result of some prodding from a forum moderator (cough) GlennVidia (cough). He has been very responsive to my e-mails, but the majority of my questions are passed on to that big black hole called R & D, and I am still waiting to see if anything will ever come out of that.)
MSI is shooting itself in the foot by not being more reactive to resolving customer problems by making solutions more public and issuing updated software solutions in a more timely fashion.
Recognizing obvious language differences and staff shortages, no other commercial business could flourish holding its customers in contempt like this.
But they do ... Sure. Install an ATI card, will you? See my signature. All of those guys in that signature, are in the same boat as MSI. Install an ATI video card and it may work the first time. Then when you have a cooling fan problem with the card two months down the line, you'll get a computerized response from the ATI "Customer Care" desk advising you to update drivers and reinstall Win XP. Like my broken fan cares!
I have had the same experience with Creative, and others on the list that I have had to deal with since I started building my PC six months ago. If there was truth in advertising, all these companies would have to paste a warning on their box that, in spite of what the warranty says, the only real support you will get(good as it is,  manned by enthusiasitic and knowledgable volunteers) is through a forum. Would you still buy the product? Before anybody accuses me of industry bashing, let's turn this into constructive criticism.
The MSI TV @nywhere Master card is probably the best on the marked. The hardware decoded Mpeg stream coming from the card provides opportunity for a near DVD quality full frame picture. With an appropriate real TV connection, you can't tell the difference between the @nywhere picture and the same source material viewed directly on a good quality real TV.
Same for the MSIPVS recorded material. Where else are you gonna get a high quality MPEG 2 full frame real time recorded motion picture, without dropped frames and still maintain full audio and video sync? (Before you all jump up and send me your list to prove me wrong, in the last four months I've tried them all on a 2.4 GHz Hyeprthreading machine and no way!) Once MSIPVS software issues are overcome and it is running reliably, it is a perfect match for the tuner. It is simple to operate and makes use of all of the tuner's cutting edge features.
The catch of course is to get the card to work reliably.
That's where MSI (not the forum, the company) should come in ... Hello??
In case anybody is listening at MSI, here are some suggestions:
    1. Make available on MSI site a knowledgebase of know problems and workarounds for the TV @nywhere. I don't mean a simple 10 point FAQ of Hints and Suggestions, which is fine, but is usually too trivial to deal with some of the more complicated problems introduced in this forum. For example, formal documentation about dealing with the obvious IRQ conflict issues of this card, more detailed installation instructions that actually work.
    2. Acknowledge receipt of problem reports by sending customer e-mail with problem number. Then staff accordingly so that you can actually respond. If that is not financially realistic, put warning on your product box.
    3. Take the 80 / 20 rule seriously. If you expect this forum to solve 80 % of your customers problems, provide the forum with the resources needed to solve the other 20%. And for )(*(&^ sake, if you get a problem as pervasive as this hyperthreading issue, pull all stops to get it resolved.
    4. Develop a utility which will analyse the IRQ situation and make some suggestions as to PCI slot placement. This does not have to be a trial and error process left to the faint at heart. The same utility could analyze other potential conflicts such as known problems with audio/video codecs and filters.
