How to remove tooltips in Captivate 7?

Hello,
I did a training simulation of a web application, and had the setting on for "Convert tooltips to rollover captions." However, no rollover captions were created, nor regular captions, and yet the tooltips are still there. They appear to be on the background, yet fade in and out on the same slide—as if the same slide is using two backgrounds or something. When I edit the background in Photoshop, I encounter two problems: I can't Save, only Save As, removing the roundtripping benefits. Furthermore, if I just Save As and go back into CP7 to manually add the new background, it has no effect from stopping the tooltips from still showing up... i.e. they're still lurking there somewhere no matter what changes I make, and I don't know where they're stored in order to delete them. Please advise.
In this screenshot you see the caption, highlight box, and clickbox that were all automatically added. The application's tooltip ("Enter the shift start time") also appears, but is uneditable and doesn't appear to be a true part of the background image either.

Hi Kevin
The tooltip->captions feature works for some and fails for some. For example, if I hover the mouse over system tray (say, system-time or volume control) then the tooltips are recognized by Captivate. However, tooltips shown by MsWord are not.
Your observation about background images is correct. Captivate uses more than one background to depict some of the captured slides. For sake of clarity hide all the items on stage, except, the mouse. Preview the slide on-stage (using the play button available in timeline). You would see that the on-stage slide image does not contain the tool-tip. When the slide is about to end, you would see the tool-tip image (along with anything else that might changed in the captured screen area) being overlaid on top of the slide image. The technolgy is very similar to that of typing text.
Unfortunately, unlike typing text, the overlaid images are not exposed in UI and hence cannot be deleted/removed. I hope, this explains why you found what you found when you tried to edit the background image.
I can't think of any way to correct the recorded projects. I can suggest a work-around for future recordings.
If tooltips are the only concern (there could be other minor things that can be changing on the screen and hence appearing in the final overlay explained above), then easiest way to get rid of them is to make sure they do not participate in the recording. Most applications show tooltips that auto-timeout and disappear. So, when you move your mouse over a control and tooltip pops up and you do not wish this tooltip to participate in the recording, just wait till it disappears and then click on the control.
NOTE: This approach can affect the duration of slides if "Actions in Real Time" or "Narration" or "System Audio" are ON.
