How to remove US Keyboard option from Finder menu

Hi,
I'm using a new iMac (OS 10.7.4) and was wondereing if it possible to stop my machine from constantly changing the input menu from "Britsh" to "U.S.". This is the item with the small national flag icon in the Finder menu.
Is there a way of removing one of these options permanently, in my case remove the U.S. option?

Hi Tony,
Go to System Pref > Language & Text > Input Sources where you can select British and deselect any US input source.

If you want to remove forward and resubmit actions for all the UWL items, it should be simple.
Open the UWL iview and look for a property called "List of UWL actions to exclude".
In that property enter the values "followUp" and "forward" separated by a comma.
followUp - Resubmit
forward - Forward
This should remove the two actions for all the UWL items.

There is a system lookup_type HR_PTU_ACTION_TYPES which gets these values.
Not sure if you can disable it(unless you go by the Help - Diagnostics - Examine)

How to remove MULTIPLE sidebar items from finder?

I accidentally dragged about 1,000 folders into my finder sidbar. Crap. I'd really like to get rid of them quickly and not have to drag them out one at a time. Any ideas? I tried trashing the com.apple.sidebarlists.plist but it didn't do the trick.

I have Path Finder installed and it turns out that the Path Finder plist was also storing the sidebar items. If I just trashed the finder and sidebar plists, the Path Finder plist would automatically repopulate the items. Trashing all three plists at the same time with Path Finder closed then relaunching Finder solved the issue!

How to remove the Advanced Options from Grub boot menu

The new version of grub groups kernels under a section of the menu called Advanced Options which makes selecting a kernel unattended impossible. Can this behavior be disabled so that grub.cfg has simply one menu item per kernel like the old behavior? Thank you.

How to remove "HP recovery manager" from boot menu?

I got about a year ago a virus attack on my computer. Knocked it out completely. In the process of reinstalling the computer, HP Recovery Manager was added to the boot menu.
I now need to remove it from the boot menu as this takes an unnecessarily long time to boot Windows. How do I do this?
Sorry if this has already been written solution, do not know what keywords I should look for in this forum to get answers to my questions.

How to remove "Save as PDF" from context menu

The item "Save as PDF" leads to a commercial site called NITRO. I am trying to eliminate it from the context menu. I installed the add-on Menu Edit and changed the item Save as PDF from visible to hidden on my Windows 8.1 PC with Firefox 30. However, the item did not disappear from the context menu. Yet on my PC with Linux Mint 17 with Firefox 30 for Linux Mint the item is gone from the context menu. My PC s linked with Firefox Synch.
How can I remove this?

Such an entry in the context menu is likely added by a PDF related extension, so check your extensions.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

You do not need to give them authorizations for <dummy>, unless the user group realy is "<dummy>" without ". Very unlikely and hardly appropriate...
Here, <dummy> is coming from the abap language element

From the ABAP keyword documentation: "The authorization check is successful if one or several authorizations are created for the authorization object in the user master record and if - for at least one of the authorizations - each of the value sets defined there for the authorization fields specified using FIELD includes the value val1 ... val10 to be checked. Authorization fields that are not included in the statement or that have DUMMY specified for them are not checked. If the check is successful, sy-subrc is set to 0. Otherwise, it is set to a value not equal to 0."
Be carefull of ST01. It is a great tool, but does have it's technical limitations.

How do I remove the "Dock" option from the Apple Dropdown Menu

I work for a school district where I am continuosly having to go back into Mac labs and reverting the settings on the dock back to normal. Students are changing the size, position and content of the dock, as well as hiding the dock. These computers are used by students k-6 and the younger children are getting confused when they com in and they cannot find the dock or its not where it is supposed to be. I have been able to lock the sizing, position and content of the dock but am not finding a way to elimante the hiding of the dock. Preferably I would like to remove the "dock option from the Apple dropdown menu. Please help!!!!

This question was asked quite a while ago and the suggestion was to use Server Admin Tools, which I know nothing about. You'll have to look into that. If these Macs are running off a server, then this might work for you. I'm seeing that Server Admin Tools from Apple is still current.

Hi,
Probelm is OBIEE on your machine.Some one might have deleted pdf option.

Try to find out tag that is to be removed from controlmessages.xl so that you have only HTML.
Update :
Stop BI Server.Try removing below tag and restart server.

you can't from the iPad.
Go to iTunes on a computer, log in with your apple ID and select 'account'.
After that , select 'payment method' and select 'none'.

After establishing the Credit Card account, you can remove the credit card information by editing your payment info, choosing "None".
Note: You won't find "None" if you have not purchase anything with the Credit Card.

If the option to select "None" isn't appearing when you attempt to edit your payment information, then there is likely a billing issue with your last iTunes Store purchase(iTunes didn't receive payment from your credit card company for that order). Before you can remove your credit card, you have to pay for the unpaid order. You can call your credit card company and troubleshoot the billing issue with them, or try another card, or if you live in a country that supports iTunes Gift Cards, you can redeem one of those to pay for the order.
