How to Render a Tiff Sequence with original EXIF Data?

Hi,
I´m importing a DNG Image Sequence via Camera Raw to AE.
After some color corrections and alignment I would like to Render the images as TIFF sequence including their original Exif Information, e.G. Exposure time, ISO, Aperture.
in the render dialog under "output module settings" there is an option called "include Source XMP Metadata, which is not available when I export to TFFF Format.
Can anyone help me on this?

It means what it says: XMP. Unless these infos exist as sidecar XMP files, AE has no way of retaining that info.

Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.

If I understand the question, it sounds like you just need to add the flag "ROWS=N" to your export command (I assume that you're talking about the old export utility, not the Data Pump version).

How to Render a TIFF image sequence with After Effects or Premiere

So I shot a timelapse in RAW using my D5200. Developed the images, imported into after effects to make a composition at 1080p 24fps, the clip is 15 seconds long. Then I rendered the clips a few ways and none of them are what I want:
I used the H.264 first, its just pixelated and blocky, doesn't retain a smooth resolution. H.264 output an MP4 that was 6.5 MB.
Then I tried lossless and it output an AVI which is awesome resolution but the file is 2 gigs! Not even VLC media player will play it smoothly without buffering.
Last I tried H.264 BluRay which output an M4V file which is 45 MB and I can't get it to play.
So now I'm here asking you all what the way to go is. When I download films, I will aim for a 1-2 gig 720p or 1080p file on roughly 2hr films. The resolution is great, the audio is great and the file like I said is only 1.5gigs average. So what are the rendering settings I should be using to get a file like this? Should I be importing it into Premiere Pro first or what?

For Reference, here was my workflow:
I generally followed an Adorama Rich Harrington Time-Lapse youtube video on workflow which was:
Developed the Raw files in Camera Raw
Used the Image Processor to create the Tif files
Imported into After Effects as a TIF sequence
Interpreted the sequence as 24fps
Changed the Composition settings to 1080p 24fps
Then did the rendering as detailed above

1. You don't need to export your TIFF sequence so as to import it into After Effects, you can import RAW image sequence into After Effects directly. Camera RAW will start automatically on importing. What is more, you will be able to change your Camera RAW settings at any time you want inside your AE project: in Project panel select your RAW image sequence, right-click, choose Interpret Footage -> Main... In the dialog box click More Options... button (at bottom left), and Camera RAW opens.
2. Do NOT export to H.264 out of After Effects directly. If you need to export your composition to H.264, export it out of Adobe Media Encoder. Start from HDTV preset. If your goal is to upload your media file on e.g. YouTube, done. If you want to play it back on your computer, but your mediaplayer can't playback it in real time, start to decrease bitrate settings. Keep in mind that modern AVCHD cameras shoot with 28 Mbps, first AVCHD camcorders were shooting with 17 Mbps, YouTube preset in Adobe Media Encoder sets bitrate to 10 Mbps, Vimeo preset - to 8 Mbps.
Choose VBR, 2 Pass so as to benefit from better quality out of smaller file size.

3. If you're planning to use your After Effects composition in Premiere Pro project, you can use Adobe Dynamic Link. If your After Effects composition is quite complex, render a Digital Intermediate out of After Effects and import it into Premiere Pro. GTX 470 or 570 for editing TIFF sequences with Mercury

Hello! II am making a short film with Cinema 4D and I'm thinking of getting either a GTX 470 or 570, does anyone know if using the mercury engine will actually improve editing speed with uncompressed 1080p TIFF sequences? All the prerendering slows down the editing process I'm on a i7-950 with 12 gb DDR3 and a ATI 5770 currently, my OS drive is also an SSD if that matters. My editing drives are just regular drives though, no RAID either. thanks!

I have a GTX 480 (with MPE hack) and a i7 980x, 24GB ram and a 3-disk Raid 0. I've never been able to get a TIFF sequence to playback in real time. The best I get is probably a choppy 4 frames per second. I know this doesn't answer your question entirely, but maybe it can help a tad.
I myself I'm trying to get find a way to playback TIFF sequences. I'm going to be setting up a 4-disk Raid 0 on an eSata raid box, but I'm thinking at some point it's just getting bottled necked at my port connection. Not sure. Others can probably shed more light on the Raids.
The best way I've been able to adapt so far is to create annoying proxy sequences (hence my repeat posts about Premiere needing proxy capabilities). I drop my TIFF sequence in a new sequence. Render it out in low rez. Drop that new low rez version onto the same sequence so now it has two--one HD 1080 and SD 720 (ok, so it's not really SD). I turn on the SD version and the other one off. I make my cuts and edits on my sequences and then when everythings all nice and purdy, I flip the switch back on the HD version and I'm ready for final rendering.
I have my "SD" version set at 720 so it's obviously smaller than the other clips so I don't inadvertantly leave it on for the final render.
Not a great workflow and adds some steps, but that's been my best workflow so far.

I have a webi report which has a date prompt now. Based on the selection that user makes while running a report, he will get the related data for that particular date selection. Now I want to make that date prompt automated that is the report should run automatically based on the system date daily on scheduling.
I want it to run current day automatically without have to go in and pick the date in webi report. I will be scheduling the webi report. Can you please let me know how to achieve this functionality of running a webi report automatically with a system date.
Please let me know if I couldn't make you understand so that I will write with an example.

1.Create sysdate object in the universe
2.Create another query in webi and select only sysdate object
3.In the original query drag the Day object in the filter pane and choose the "List of values" from another query.and select the sysdate object from the second query.
So your report always will run for sysdate...

The iPhone has a "remote" app that lets you control Keynote on a Mac, but not on another iOS device (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
There are some apps that let you control limited content on another iOS device - but the content has to be within the app. You might check out SyncPad - perhaps you can import the presentation into it and then control it on the iPad.

How can I debug a problem with the 3g data connection on my iPhone 4s?

This question didn't get any answers in the "Using iPhone" forum. Thought I would re-ask here. Note, I had to reset the network again today 2 days after the last reset:
I've been having intermittent problems with my 3g data connection on my iPhone 4s on ATT. Whenever this happens I see full bars etc, but can't browse from safari or get any data in other apps. My wife's iPhone 4 right next to me has no issues at all. Switching on/off airplane mode and turning off/on Cellular Data does not help. The only thing that helps is resetting the Network Settings or hard restarting the phone.
I figured my problems were hardware related so I took my phone in for a replacement the other day. Things started out fine but after I upgraded it to 5.01 and restored my backup and now I am back to having the same issue today. I assume the issue is with something coming from my backup / restore but is there any way for me to pinpoint what could be causing the issue. I have a lot of apps, I'd rather not have to reinstall and set them all backup manually, but I would if I knew that would fix the problem... but for all I know one of the apps could be causing it.
Anyone have any logs I can check or testing I can do on my end?

Unfortunately, Apple does not make any logs available to the average schmoe (like us) for networking, kernel dumps, or anything else (assuming, of course, it is not jailbroken).
Your best bet is to take it back into the store. Ask them to look at the notes in GCRM regarding the last time this occured, then explain after upgrading to 5.01 it is occuring again. Then ask them for a phone swap since it is a reoccuring issue and doesn't sound like an OS/SW issue. Good luck!

How to use an Oracle sequence with BC4J ?

I'm using Business Components for Java (BC4J) with JDeveloper 3.0.
In my database I need to insert a unique ID for each record inserted (a user ID).
I know Oracle can generate automatically this munbers, using a sequence.
How can I insert it automatically in the BC4J view?
The user should be able to edit this number, since it's for identification inside the system.

How can I import .mov footage with original pixel aspect ratio?

So the footage is 720x480 Square Pixels (1.0), 29.97 fps, progressive .mov but when I import it into Premiere Pro, they come up compressed as D1/DV NTSC (0.9091) automatically. When I try to Interpret Footage, it simply adds black bars. Why can't it just import correctly? When I preview the original footage, it plays back correctly but the preview inside Premiere Pro shows the distorted version... Please and thank you!!!

The suggestion about "new item" above was short. Here's the "full" version. In the Project Panel, go to the lower right corner ... click on the "New Item" Icon ... as shown here:
The first item on the pop-up menu that will appear should be "Sequence" ... click on it and just say ok at the next screen without even reading it. It's irrelevant, really.
Then going back to your project panel (we assume you've already imported your footage into it) click & drag a clip from the proj. panel to the timeline, or move one from the "Source monitor" to the timeline ... you should get a pop-up asking if you want the timeline changed to your footage, or your footage changed to the timeline. Take the timeline/sequence settings changed to match footage, and go.
That SHOULD take care of the problem in the vast majority of cases. It is such a simple fix, and so often the easiest and "correctist", that it's worth a try. Navigating the choices of setting up sequences is best left for those people who say, study GPU algorithms for a couple hours before going to bed for the sheer exhilaration of it ... unless, of course, PrPro actuall does a face-plant with your footage. But it mostly works good at it ... once you just let it ... so you might give that a try, takes what ... 20 seconds to see if it works?

How do I paste a sequence with multiple tracks?

Hi, everyone. I have a sequence that has 2 video tracks and 2 monaural audio tracks. I create a new sequence that has 3 video and 3 stereo audio tracks, and I make sure that "Video 1", "Video 2", "Audio 1" and "Audio 2" are highlighted, and drag and drop the first sequence onto the timeline of the second. It pastes as one video track and one audio track. The video and audio tracks are correctly mixed given how I have layered them in the first sequence. However, I want to keep the tracks separate. Particularly the audio. How do I get it to paste as two-or-more tracks?

Well, my co-worker wants to do the audio. My only obligation is to somehow get the audio to her in an editable state. I think the obvious thing to do is to give her the video as a reference, and multiple .wav files, each of which represents some audio. We have numerous narrators each reading a line of a script. For example, I could put every odd numbered clip's audio on track 1 and every even numbered clip's audio on track 2. Then her job is to combine the two audio tracks in whatever way she chooses. If I put in cuts or dissolves then she loses part of the clip and it limits her options. Is there a better way?

Almost any graphics program or DTP program works. Depends very much on how sophisticated you want to get.
You can put multiple images on a page, and even use alpha-channels and (iirc) opacity controls, using just Pages.
The point to note is that these are compositing actions. Aperture is not a compositor (by design). It stores and organizes your digital photos, and provides tools to make each photo as good as possible. It does not allow you to combine Images, or add text or geometric primitives to Images (though you can do this with some plug-ins).
