    How to replace iphone Battery?

This can only be done by Apple or a certified repair shop - in fact Apple would probably simply replace the phone (at a cost) as they do with iPods. It's a big weakness, but it's the cost of the snazzy slim design. I think they must be gambling on most people upgrading their phones every year or eighteen months.
Having said that this site provides information on doing it yourself for an iPhone 4 - I don't know whether there similar sites for the latest models - but I am not recommending that you do this: you would find it tricky at least, you might well damage something, and you will get no help from Apple if you do.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one with a new battery for $79. They do not fix yours.

  • How to replace CMOS battery on Satellite A30-504?

i have big problems with my satellite A30-504...it does'nt see the HDD on boot, my only solution so far was to press the power button for many times.
My HDD is ok so i think the problem is with the cmos battery but i dont know how to find out what type it is and how to replace it.
(ps. sorry my english, i'm not an english speaker)

    Hi Adrian
CMOS battery is always placed an awkward position and to exchange the battery the unit must be disassembled. If you didnt done this before please dont do this alone. A small mistake and you can damage plastic cover of the unit.
I recommend you to contact service and let them do this for you. It costs a little bit but you will be sure it will be done on professional way. When the unit is disassembled it can also be cleaned from the dust.

  • HT3371 how to replace internal battery in Macbook Pro 17"

My 17" went dead while sitting in a warehouse waiting for a residence. Grrr.

You can only replace the battery yourself on a 2008 or older MacBook Pro. If you do it in a newer computer, you will void the warranty.
If you have a 2008 or older computer, buy the battery at the Apple Online Store > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA348LL/A/rechargeable-battery-15-inch-macbook -pro?fnode=5a Then, install it > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3053
If you have a newer computer, you have to look in iFixit for the steps to replace your battery > http://www.ifixit.com

    Hi Paolotia,
Replacing the RTC battery in your notebook does involve rather extensive disassembly. You will have to disassemble it down to the system board.
See page 77 of the Maintenence & Service guide for your notebook series.

  • How to replace PRAM battery in Power Mac 9600?

Greetings. Need to replace the PRAM battery in a Power Mac 9600. Purchased a new battery, but can anyone tell me exactly how to remove the old one? Don't want to break the black plastic "cradle" it sits in. Thanks very much.

You need to remove the cover/retainer that snaps over the top of the battery holder. Using a very small screwdriver, insert its flat tip between the outside of the socket's positive metal contact and the battery retainer's end. Gently pry outward against the plastic retainer to unsnap it. You may need to do the same at the opposite end to completely pop it off. Once that's removed, you can actually grasp the battery by its sides and roll it up and out of the holder. Otherwise, insert the same small screwdriver under the lip on the outer rim of the battery's positive end, and pry/lift it out of the holder.

  • How to replace the battery in a Toshiba Satellite S55DT-A5130

I'm not finding anything in searches.  The battery is not replaceable.  So, how do I replace it?  Is the laptop considered a disposable when the battery dies or is it really replaceable, with a little work?  The battery is fine for now.  Just planning ahead.  Thanks

With longer battery life, many of the newer computers are treated like the newer smart phones.

  • How to replace your battery

How do you do that a easy way?

He's posting in the fifth-generation iPod forums, so he's most likely covered under the iPod's warranty. This is why I asked about his battery life. It may be replaceable under the warranty.
I would not recommend opening an ipod that's still under warranty.

    Hi:
On your notebook, this looks like a very easy job.
Please see the service manual at the link below, chapter 4, page 4-19.

  • How to replace remote's battery?

I have a new iMac G5, currently running OS 10.4.6, with Front Row 1.2.2. I can activate Front Row by using the COMMAND+ESCAPE keys, but the remote has no effect. I tried to use the remote to pause/play in iTunes with no luck - so it looks like the battery is the culprit.
Is this a user-serviceable repair? I can't find any technical article on how to replace the battery - or is this something that only Apple can do?
Thanks for any wisdom anyone may have.

Replacing the battery is easy. Take a pen and click the dimple in the end of the remote, a drawer will pop out with the battery in it.

  • How do I replace the battery myself?

My battery is dying fast (it's given me a pretty amazing 43 month run and has done 1120 cycles) so I've ordered a new battery. But I can't find anywhere that tells me how to replace the battery myself? What are the steps?
    Please advise! Thank you

You just turn your PB over and use a coin or something to unlock it. Battery comes out. Put in the new one. Simple.

  • How to change the battery in my bluetooth

i got the new one but don't want to harm the case to change it.a little help please.

Hmm, a quick scan over the manual does not indicate how to change the battery.  But their web page has a contact tab which will open your email client to sent them email to [email protected]  I suggest you contact them and ask them (a) how to replace the battery and (b) if it is user-replaceable to update their manual accordingly.

  • Camcast home system....replacing the battery for take over sensor

i just got my home system installed and today I'm getting an error message stating to replace the battery for the takeover sensor.  Can someone tell me which piece of equipment this is and how to replace the battery? thanks

    Rjmmoon,
Did you have a previous security system? The take over module is used to convert existing wired sensor modules to a Xigbee compatible system that Xfinity Home uses. There should be a box somewhere that all the previous hardware wires into.

  • How long do the battery's last til they die?

Just curious....what happens when it dies? Do I need a new iPhone or is there a repair?

That link said nothing except how to replace your battery through Apple.
Pretty much, Apple estimates that you have about 300-400 charge cycles before your battery drops to about 80%.
Now, let me explain that, that does NOT mean that once you charge 400 times, you will lose 20% of your battery. A charge cycle is a FULL charge and discharge. That means if you kill your battery and then FULLY charge your battery, that is a FULL CHARGE CYCLE.
So when your battery is at 80% and you charge it to full, you have not used up a full charge cycle. And just a reminder, on average, about once every 6 months, do kill the battery, then fully recharge it. This will recalibrate the firmware to your battery's percentage.
