I hope somebody can help. My screen cracked on my dv7-4191nr hp laptop. I bought a new screen but can't figure out how to replace it. Ant suggestions on how to replace the screen?

You can order a replacement fan from eBay but you need to first take apart the laptop to find the fan part number to make sure you get the right part. Otherwise you will have to send it in to get it fixed. Those are your two options right now.

The whole lcd unit with wireless cables is 440716-001 and the panel is 440711-001
If you open up the display housing and get the screen model you can also have a lot more choices in finding a lower cost replacement. It is a 15.4 inch lcd screen....very common and relatively inexpensive:

Satellite Z830 - how to replace broken Screen?

A careless family member has succeeded in cracking the screen of a fairly new Toshiba z830. It's broken quite badly, so I doubt it will be reparable.
I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on the best way to go about getting a replacement, bonus points for any information in the Melbourne area.

I'd rather not pay the $459 or 459 or whatever to get the screen fixed by Toshiba. I've had 20 laptops before, I never cracked a screen like this so easily. I didn't drop the laptop nor bump it nor squeeze it, I just transported it in my hand baggage on the airplane as I always do with many previous laptops, the Z830 screen is too fragile. I really like the screen, I like its matte finish, I like the thin and light magnesium form factor of the laptop, and swobbly screen does not bother me, except the design is just much too fragile, the glass surface of the LCD is not protected as it must be. Since I don't want to pay the $500 repair fee, and since I guess Toshiba never replaces a cracked screen under warranty? Do you mean the App Store app on your iPad ? If you do then it can't be deleted, but you might have hidden it via Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps 'off' - if that is 'off' then turn it back 'on' and the app should show on one of your iPad's home screens again
