How to report on archieved data

Think i archieved the data from the cube. but now our client wants to look the data that was archieved. so now how can i look the data once its archieved.

Hi Annie,
SAP data that has been archived must be accessible for reading. The following tools are provided for accessing archived data:
·        Archive Information System
The Archive Information System (transaction SARI) allows you to configure your own archive information structures (archive indexes), fill them with data from the archive and use them to search for archived data. It is only possible to access archived data if such an infostructure exists and has been filled. This can be done automatically during the delete phase or at a later point in time, manually.

·        Document Relationship Browser
The Document Relationship Browser (DRB) is used to show business objects and the links and relationships between business objects. Generally these are documents that were created as part of one business process or that belong to a common business process. DRB can display archived data as well as data in the database.
·        Archive File Browser
The Archive File Browser (transaction AS_AFB) offers functions to display the contents of archive files. It offers a technical view of archived tables, much like the Data Browser (transaction SE16) does for database data. The Archive File Browser is particularly useful for administrators (of data archiving) and someone who might be looking for problems that occurred during archiving, or that wants to search archived data. It is not an end-user tool.

How to report new master data in place of old master data in a report

Hi Everyone,
I have 0vendor master data which contains both old and new vendor numbers. I have transaction data that refers to both new and old vendor numbers. In my report I want to see the new vendor numbers with transaction data and new vendor number in place of old vendor number with transaction data. How do I achieve that? Can anyone shed some light on that. I have tried various scenarios but none of them working.

HI Wen,
do you mean to say that you need some kind of mapping of old to new vendor numbers? In that case you could create a navigational attribute of the vendor and put in the new vendor number for both new and old numbers and then use this attribute to navigate and display.

at lower level of selection screen you have 3 check boxes
try it first with short documents.
if you dont get a result, then activate the short document from archive.
Of course this only works if your archive is accessable.

Reporting Services is used for rendering the report with data retrieved from datasource. In Reporting Services, we can retrieve data from the datasource then design a report, after the report processed, data is fixed on the report. So it’s not supported
to have the end users selection and do summary. For your requirement, it’s can’t be achieved currently.

Hi Assuming you are using the essbase report writer the following script will work: { SUPPAGEHEADING } { SUPCOLHEADING } { SUPFORMATS } { SUPFEED } { NOINDENTGEN } { FIXCOLUMNS 1 } <ROW("Dimension") <UDA(Dimension,MyUDA) ! the fixcolumns 1 will ensure that you only get the UDA without it you will get the variable followed by the corrosponding value.

How to create a report using XML data source from Crystal Report Designer

Iu2019m having Crystal Report Designer XI R2 SP4. Iu2019m trying to create a report using XML data source stored on disk. This is a customer order report and the xml is structured in such a way that it has an order details header part (master) and then it has several order lines (detail). One order line can have several order line characteristics (detail-detail). So what I need to know is now I can design this layout from the designer. If this was done using views I can do it with sub-reports but using xml data this seems to be different. Can you help me to design this layout? I have included the xml and xsd as well.

Thank you for the response and ideas you have given me so far. I can get the fetch the data from the data source without any problem. That is I do the following,
1. New Report
2. From Create New Connection-> XML
3. Provide the u201CLocal XML Fileu201D and have u201CSpecify Schema Fileu201D checked -> Next
4. Provide the u201CLocal Schema Fileu201D -> Finish
Then I can see the following under XML

How to get the actual data in ALV report

I am doing some upgradation work in that i am using Submit & And return and also i am using some function modules like LIST FROM MEMORY , LIST TO TXT wnd WRITE LIST , it gives output in normal list format , But i need to print in ALV report .
With the use of set table for 1st display i got the ALV report but not with actual data, (some junk value is showing) , So can any 1 suggest me how to get the actual data in ALV report, With the use of Any Function Module or with Coding,

I am sure you must be getting the values in tables of table parameters from every FM.
consolidate the values from tables of all FMs in one table and built ALV for that table only.
I hope this way you can show the actual data in ALV.

Financials -> Financial Reports -> Accounting -> General Ledger.
In the 'Display' dropdown select, 'Unreconciled' .

How to schedule the webi report based on data changes in the report data

Hello,
I want to schedule a webi report based on data change in a column in the report.
The scenario is something like below:
1. If a data of a particular column changes from 2 to 3 than I would like to schedule this report and sent it to users mail box.
I know how to apply alerts or schedule a report or data tracking for capturing changes in the report but I dont know how to schedule the report only for data changes.
Anybody done this before.

When and how to update the "saved data" in report ?

Hi,
The BO version is "BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0"
The case is that, some reports are uploaded withe saved data. while viewing the reports, the reports return the old data.
How to view the update data while click the "View" in CMC/InfoView ?
I have tried to schedule it , then can see the update data in "View the latest instance".
Is there any approach to refresh/update the saved data in the report ?

Dear All,
       How to Populate Internal table data to Table Control in a Report Program? It is a pure report program with out any Module pool coding involved, which is just used to display data. Till now it is being displayed in a report. Now the user wants the data to be displayed in a table control. Could someone tell me how to go about with this.

If you want to use a table control, you will need to create a screen.
In your report....
start-of-selection.
perform get_data. " Get all your data here
call screen 100. " Now present to the user.
Double click on the "100" in your call screen statement. This will forward navigate you to the screen. If you have not created it yet, it will ask you if you want to create it, say yes. Go into screen painter or layout of the screen. Use the table control wizard to help you along the process. It will write the code for you. Since it is an output only table control, it will be really easy with not a lot of code.
A better way to present the data to the user would be to give it in a ALV grid. If you want to go that way, it is a lot easier. Here is a sample of the ALV function module. You don't even have to create a screen.

First Let me know the Source & Tools to involve.
Let me go with the generic approach:
If the source is BW, then you can create the logic in query designer designer and then you can incorporate the data into the dashboard or webi or crystal report whatever its.
If the source is sql or anyother DB then it can also be achievable in crystal or webi to write the logic in top 10 values by ranking then you can incorporate the data into the dashboard, but here you can limit the top or bottom values.
