How to report possible tower problem in our area?

Verizon coverage on Hilton Head Island, south end has been increasingly spotty.  Please advise, calls are dropped, texts are not received or sent.  Do not know what to do.  This has been happening more frequently, but this past week it has been really bad.  Help!

Zip code is 29928. We have four smart phones in family, 2 droid razrs, 1 iPhone 5, and 1 iPhone 4s.  All show 0 to 3 bars at home on and off. All are dropping calls, not receiving or sending messages at times. Usually only have issue in general area of our home, 2 miles radius. Our neighbors also are having issues. We tried turning wifi on and off, doesn't  help either way. Has been happening for months but recently became so bad we had to drive somewhere to get service. I have called Verizon twice. Once was told there were problems in our area and 3 days later was told nothing was going on that was reported.  Hope you can help identify problem, frustrating.  Thanks.
Sent from my iPad which often chooses different words to confuse us.

  • How to report Apple a problem in software by e-mail?

How to report Apple a problem in software by e-mail?  For example I got a problem: new version of iTunes 11.1.1 is not running at all! (uninstalled old one first) When I try to launch itunes from my laptop desktop I get this box Win7 64. I don't want to open any system files, just wish that Apple will make a program which work. Apple please!
"The file itunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes" and it not run at all!!

    Hi Nick.
If you open a free Apple Developer account you can use the bug reporter tool. However if you want to file a bug report you need to tightly identify a reproducible fault, detail the conditions in which it arises and ideally supply any workaround you have discovered.
In other circumstances iTunes Feedback is probably the appropriate channel. Common problems should gain attention.
Apple don't provide free technical support for iTunes. The inital point of entry for online assistance is iTunes Support. If none of the online resources help then depending on the nature of the problem, or whether you qualify through a recent purchase, or you are prepared to pay, you may be able to make use of the Contact iTunes Support service. Failing that Apple Support Communities (here) is where users share solutions with each other.

  • How do i solve latency problems in all areas?

how do i solve latency problems in all areas?

You can't. There's always going to be some latency - the trick is to minimize it so that it's not distracting.
I assume you've got some latency when you're recording? If so, reduce your I/O buffer settings in your preferences to the point where your system works happily - on most new/faster systems you should be able to get down to 64 or 128 samples.
Another solution is to not use software monitoring. If your interface supports it, use direct monitoring so that you're not monitoring the input through Logic but rather direct from the source.
Reduce the use of latency-inducing plug ins when you're recording.
    What specifically are you experiencing?

  • Reporting problems in our area with calling 800 numbers.

We are having call connect issues in our area. I seemed to just notice some calls in my location at work will not go through.
My brother is telling me that he definitely has issues with dialing 800 numbers of which I can attest that some but can't confirm isf all of my recent connect issues have been with 800 numbers.
We are making calls to businesses that have 800 numbers only available and my brother who makes daily a lot of calls to 800 numbers has tried to get their local number when he can so as to bypass the 800 number.
The problem is that we will dial the number hear some clicking after sending it and then nothing the phone call time counter will continue to count and 99% of the time we will have to initiate the disconnect on our end for the system to hang up. I personally have let it stay connected as long as a minute or 2 before disconnecting. Then usually a second call will mediate connect and I will get a ringing and then a call connect. some times it will take upwards of 3-4 tries.
Also when you dial and go to connect and doesn't sometimes the phone will click over and then you will start hearing an echo back of everything you say and the mic picks up.
    What is going on here?
My brother who like I said uses a lot of 800 numbers for business has had this problem definitively with the 800 numbers. is this something nationwide or just local to us. We are in the Elkton MD Fairhill area.

Hello Shutech! Your description of this issue is very curious indeed! We have no reports of issues calling toll free numbers reported throughout the network. May I have an example of one of the toll free numbers that have been dialed? I'd like to test with my VZW phone. Thanks!

  • How to report possible Port scanning and DOS/Fraggle Attack??

I have been experiencing lag while surfing the internet. One temporary solution was to get a new IP from VZ but this fix was short lived. So I became curios and dtarted to log connection attempts to my router and noticed what I saw resembled port scans and even a Fraggle/DOS attack at times. I am posting my routers log below and would like to kno how to go about reporting this abuse and what I see as malicious activity?

You're getting hit from IPs from everywhere, so there's no true person to ask in regards to this. Whoever had your IP last was probably up to no good, or it's possible for some reason your IP was targeted. Might also be possible that whoever had your IP last was running servers. My Dedicated server gets hit with this nonsense all the time. Sometimes it's an issue with someone trying to DoS one of the game servers I run on it. Causes lag for only a few seconds before the hardware firewall in front of the server kicks in and handles the rest. China I actually wound up blocking access to entirely for a month or two since I've hardly seen anything that wasn't a port scan or an SSH/FTP hacking attempt.
A few of those IPs are owned by Google and Microsoft, which implies there was probably an HTTP server at one point running on the IP you're using now.

  • How can i solve the Problem, that our iCloud combines several iPhone Numbers. All SMS get confused by the changing of numbers

We have several iPhones and we are just using one iCloud and appleID.
But since the update of iOS 6 we are confused.
E.g. My mother sends a SMS to me, but my sister received it. She is confused and is texting back to My mom. But that time I get that text message.
Even if I send a SMS to a friend, my friend receives it from my sisters account.
Please help, cause we are so confused

icloud is designed so that only one user uses it to keep his/her devices in sync.  Problems such as yours occur when multiple users use the same account - icloud is not designed for that.
If someone has another icloud account, and wants to set it up on a device, then go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  This only disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost on icloud.  Then enter the account ID that you want to use.
To create a new icloud account, go to

  • Hi Apple support, my name is Derek Turner and I have been hacked through a friend's email account and I wish to know if 1. I can clean my email list of names and account with software and 2. How is it possible to delete emails that are still coming back

Hi! My name is Derek Turner and I have been hacked through a friend's email message to me which I opened unsuspecting any danger.  Initially, he sent me an 'attention' or warning email with a link which I tried to open but it could not be opened, so I left it not knowing what it was all about at the time.  Later, I received another email from him (probably the hacker) and opened a 'not very pleasant' web site.  It did not twig with me at the time as I am a bit new to this type of thing but when I mentioned it to my wife she immediately said that I had been 'hacked'.  By this time it was too late, and it infected all my email addresses!  I would be grateful if you may know if there is software that I can use to clean up my email account and if there is anything for iPad minis that can prevent this happening in future? (Malware, Firewall?).  I am also getting emails back that relate to the hacker and I cannot 'delete' them from my iPad, only on my PC!  Any suggestions?
Thank you for your time regarding this matter,
Derek Turner,( a very new iPad mini user!)

    Hi,
I don't think that can be solved by any advice the regular posters could post here.
I would go back to Apple and explain the situation (again).
I would also consider closing the account (Apple rarely seem to do this as accounts are never deleted but just closed).
I understand this may cause issues for things purchased in iTunes and the App Store which my include Restoring the OS at some point.

There are a few things to try.
First, if this file came to you vial email attachment, it could have been corrupted. Ask her to zip the file and send it again. That sometimes helps.
I suppose there's a chance that the file is already zipped, so see if that's the case and unzip it if so.
If the file name doesn't end with .indd, add it and see if that helps.
If you are double-clicking, try File>Open from within InDesign.
Last (and I know this sounds like a joke, but I've seen it many times), sometimes people attach a Mac Alias or Windows Shortcut instead of the actual file. What is the file size? If it's really small, that might be the reason.
Also, no offense intended if some of this sounds like stuff you have already tried. I don't know what you know, so I'm just spit-balling.

If your OS is fully up-to-date, that is close to impossible. The Flashback site has not been known to be active since long before August.
Did you migrate any users from an older system, perhaps? It might have been transferred if that is the case.
ISP's are famous for mis-diagnosing these things with regard to Macs, so you might want to challenge them to provide you with their logs and specifics about what they are seeing.
Is it possible that another device is on your network that could be causing this, either something you own or a neighbor using your network?

We did that, but it just doesn't seem to be able to connect. So basically we tried to connect to our network and insert the password, but afterwards it does nothing. Weird thing is also that the network symbol (top right of the screen) says that it has been connected, but when I go look at the system preferences --> network, it states that it has not been connected

  • How do I report a security problem to Firefox?

    Here's the problem: <br />
Wednesday morning my Mac at home got infected by malware which I believe is usually called the "Google redirect virus". My Mac at home has been upgraded to OSX 10.6.7 and I believe I was using Firefox 3.6.13 (it automatically upgraded tonight). I haven't been able to find any useful information on line about this malware. <br />
The behavior after infection was that every time I tried to use Google my request would get redirected. If I entered www.google.com in the address bar, the URL would get changed to www.google.com/FuneralHomes/<something> and the browser would try to go there and a "Under Construction" error message or a no-such-page message would be returned. This started happening after I did a Google search and was checking various links in Firefox, but once it started in Firefox I got the same behavior in Safari even without using Safari to look at any links. And it continued to happen in Safari even after I did a "Reset Safari..." <br />
When I got infected I was using a non-adminstrator account and I was not asked to download anything nor was I prompted for a password. <br />
I searched on "Google redirect Mac virus" using my (so far) untouched work computer and found several suggestions but no solutions. Apparently this is a PC problem that's been around a few years, but there were some Mac reports from last year. So last night I checked the DNS addresses in my
Network preferences, looked at /etc/hosts, and removed the only plug-in from the Library:Internet Plug-ins of the infected account, even though it was a Picasa plug-in that predated this infection. None of those seemed to be the problem. I also scanned my disk with an up-to-date "Norton AntiVirus" which
I got from work some time ago, but it found no viruses. <br />
What really puzzles me is that the problem gradually went away while I was checking it last night. At first, when I entered www.google.com the browser would still show the redirected address in the prompt that comes up and it had the Legacy.com logo on the left instead of the Google one but it would actually go to the Google website (unless I'm being spoofed). Then at a later attempt, only the wrong logo persisted. Then at an even later attempt the logo got fixed and everything looked fine and appeared to behave correctly. <br />
Frankly, that's a little scary. It's as if a really smart trojan got
installed and was covering its tracks while it set up a man-in-the-middle attack (please advise if I'm misusing the jargon). If I'm being too paranoid, great, but I'd still like to know how such behavior could be induced on my machine just by linking to a website. Can anyone help?
''moderator- fixed the leading space formatting errors in this posting''

Thanks, the-edmeister, but the only relevant post I found was from GB Colburn on bleepingcomputer.com, wherein he reported a similar problem about a year ago. I've found a few similar threads in the last year or so (by searching "Google redirect mac virus" in Google) but they are all about the same: someone reports the problem, responders have various random suggestions, the problem seems to go away by itself (at least sometimes), and there's nothing conclusive either good or bad.
Without myself being as knowledgeable as GB Colburn, it doesn't look to me like the problem is in the DNS system or the router. It acts more like some malware in the automatic completion in the address bar of the browser or maybe in the history system, but I can't figure out how an infection in one browser could affect another browser. And I *really* can't figure out how it could be self-healing.
It's really frustrating that none of the major parties involved in this—Firefox, Google, Safari (Apple), Verizon (my internet provider)—even have a process for reporting a security issue. At least not one that I, an ordinary semi-naive user, can find.

    Hello, bisco,
This forum is for questions from people who administer iTunes U sites. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the iTunes or iPod forums.
