How to reposition interactive report (IR) search progress indicator?

I would like to place this "rotating circle" lower than it is now - or even in the middle of the screen.

The location of that spinning thing comes from this setting in apex_3_1.css:
#apexir_LOADER
left:48%;
position:absolute;
top:4px;
}You can override that by putting this code in your PAge HTML Header
<style type="text/css">

</style>Then the circle appears somewhere in the middle of your page.

Display a checkbox , customer number on the basic list and also set a GUI STATUS on the basic list.....
Select the customer by checking the checkbox and click on the button you create in the GUI status....
Write the desired code to be displayed in
AT USER-COMMAND even checking the sy-ucomm....
so this would make you to into interactive list...

How To Modify Interactive Report Search Input?

Hello All,
I am running version 3.2 and attempting to modify (validate) the search input value on an interactive report. For example, after a user enters a string in the search textbox, I want to strip any space characters from the string and perform other operations as needed.
I have attempted to use javascript and PL/SQL page processing, but have been unsuccessful with either. I can not figure out how to modify the javascript function called for submitting the page and the on submit page processes don't fire for interactive report pages.
How do I modify search values on IR pages?

The search item is called "apexir_SEARCH".
Using jQuery you can add a onblur function to that field:

How to remember what I search for in Interactive Report's search field

I made Cro-Eng dictionary using Interactive Report by joining two table columns of Croatian and English word. Now I want to remember every word that I write in the search field of Interactive Report by filling the table SEARCHEDWORDS which has two columns WORD and DATE, so that I can see all the searches that were made and the date they were made. Is it possible? Do I need triggers for that, or do I do it through processes in edit page of Interactive report? something like INSERT INTO SEARCHEDWORDS (WORD, DATE)

The last step is Javascript so you'll need to create an HTML region and wrap the code in <script> tags. The Javascript basically overwrites the default actions to refresh the IR report. Instead it says to call a custom function which first logs the search request then makes a request to refresh the IR region.

If you have multiple IR pages then you can include the code on Page 0 or on each of those pages. Since you're trying to log information for several different IR you may want to add some extra columns to your log table to include which IR the searches belong to. You'll also need to update your application process and (depending on your requirements) some of the javascript code.

Interactive report and search feature

Do you have some CSS over ride that adds an z-index property to the region with a larger value than 1000(the default value I can find for the search drop down menu for my theme)
anyway try adding another style to the page header

I set a control break on the "Relco" column, so APEX generates correctly more "sub-report".
I need to export into csv file every single "sub-report".
Is it possible ?
Does another solution exist ?

Getting the breaks in the csv export doesn't work unfortunately.
You would need to create your own procedure to get the correct csv.

step 1:- Download process type plugin named "excel_plugin". this is process type plugin.
step2:- Import the given plugin in your application from shared component-> Plugin
step3:-To use this plugin add a new process to a page in your application, based on this plugin
Use as Process Point "On Load - Before Header"
Use a Condition Type Request = Expression 1
Expression1 = XLS
step 4:- Create one button on your page.
Action : Redirect to Page in this Application and page number should be your report page.
Request : XLS

Finder's search-progress indicator missing: Yosemite

Hi,
I've been searching high and low for weeks about this, but have yet to see anything. I hope I'm typing in the wrong keywords because my issue is very frustrating.
When searching using the finder with Yosemite 10.2, there isn't a spinning circle or bar or anything to indicate that a search is happening.
I don't know if it hasn't found anything at all, or if it's frozen, or if it's still searching. Is there a way to bring back the search progress circle to Yosemite? Or an option to turn it on that I'm missing? Thanks. Let me know if you need any other info.

Yosemite 10.2
2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1024 MN

Interactive Report general Search is taking long time

Hi All,
I have two IR reports in my Application, Both are using same tables , same where clause, displaying column is different.
Both query returning 60000 records, In my first report , after my report gets loaded , i am using the general search button for getting some data,
when i try to find 100 in my reports , my first report displaying the search result in 5 seconds, But my second report i am doing the same steps , but its taking long time to respond.
Could some one tell me what is the cause for this problem also in what basis this search will work means how this will work?

In Source i am using the same query in both report , But how come order by clause has been adding in my Second query.
Also in Report 1 :
COUNT(DISTINCT "ARRANGEMENT_NUMBER") over (),

The same is not there in Second report query .
How can i remove that order by clause from my id also how can i resolve the above change (

I want to create a interactive dashboard in that there is 4 parts and on the selection of one values in one part, detailed value of other part of the report has been changed?
I've tried through Bookmark but this loads complete data in other part of the report. but i just want to load the information of selected record.

I have an idea , for your scenario you can use subreport and pass parameter to that subrreport from first part to change the value based on the selection of value from first part.
Suppose in first part you are showing aggregate values department wise and in second part you want to show details of that department which selected by user from the first part so you can create a separate part to show details of department with parameter
department which will filter your report according to department and use this report in second part as sub report and for department parameter map it to the first part so if user will select on values of any department then that department name will be passed
in the parameter of sub report and your sub report will show details of that department.
so in first part go to textbox property and go to action tab and then pass parameter.

Interactive reports - Removing search field from html export

Hi,
I have an IR with "download formats" HTML enable , set within Report atributes.
I disabled search bar (also search field).
I have a button with request=HTMLD .
The html file saved is ok , except that it contain a search field.
How to generate the html export , without this "search field".

Thank you for your advice.
I do, however, respectfully disagree.
Think about this from the end users' point of view. Most end users expect ANY criteria (lwhether it be a quick search filter or an explicit filter) to check all columns in a report, not just those displayed. If the user receives a "no data found" message after invoking a quick search filter, what should they do: begin adding each of the hidden columns one at a time to see if the "no data found" message goes away? That would get very frustrating. And I believe it would be equally frustrating if users got inconsistent results based on the type of filter applied. Using an explicit filter searches all report columns while a quick search filter only checks displayed columns-- confusing for end users.
This has been my experience and see these reactions from end users.
In any case, that's my two cents on it.

Interactive report column search not working

Hi,
On Apex 4.01 and discovered that when using the individual column search functionality (clicking on the column label), the search on a column for a userid, the dropdown listing is not showing all userids that are clearly listed in the report. For example, the dropdown only shows up through IDs starting with 's--------' so when I search for an ID with 'vm' it does not show it, yet I can do a sort and go down the rows on the report and find it. Is there a limit to the dropdown list? Or is this a bug?
