How to reprint depreciation run report

depreciation run has been carried out for january. user needs a report of that dep run. is there a way i can get the dep run report for jan.

Hi,
1. Use Tcode OARP
2. Double click on "Depreciation lists"
3. Place the curser on RAGAFA01 and hit 'Execute'
You can see Dep. posting period In the selection screen.
Run the report for the period for which you need the data.

Yes that is the only option which we can stop a running report in BI Publisher
I suspect you'll need to ask your DBA to kill the session.
However, if you have DBA privileges yourself, you can do this by a few methods, some of which are described here:

How to repeat depreciation run for fixed assets

Dear Sir(s),
we are on SAP B PL03. We would like to re-run depreciation for some fixed assets to correct a previous depreciation run which was executed by mistake. The depreciation was posted to the GL accounts.
We are not able to get this option of re-running the depreciation even after changing the depreciation types of these fixed assets in the fixed asset master data. The depreciation run screen just displays a list of all previous depreciation runs.

Hi Asif,
The last depreciation you have run showing you in depreciation window,that depreciation you executed by mistake van remove by right click on that depreciation row and remove that row. Doing this your financial posting will be reverse then you can execute depreciation for the same period.

I'm looking for a way to cancel the printing of a long running report programatically? I'm using the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument() class.

Hi Syed,
The old viewer was COM based and the new viewer is .NET. CR has the ability if the DB server supports Async communication. Most DB's don't so it wasn't of much use. For those that did the functionality was through custom coding within the Designer only. Async would allow CR to send a stop processing command to the DB server. If the server did not have the ability then CR can only wait for the data to start coming back before stopping the viewer from updating.
In any event I don't believe the Windows Viewer in .NET has the ability but I will suggest it to the Product group to add the ability in some future version.

Running Reports 10g on Apps Server

We have a Windows 2003 apps server running Oracle Forms and Reports 10g.
We are having a problem running reports in Oracle 10g, and believe it to be something to do with the configuration files. Currently, we can run the test report through Enterprise Manager using both the default reports service and the one that we have created. However we are unable to run our own reports through forms.
To check that there was nothing wrong with our forms, we copied one of the reports into the â¦\forms10g\reports\samples\demo folder to see if we could run it through Enterprise Manager. However, we get the following error:
Rep-110: Unable to open file â¦â¦
Rep-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
Rep-0110: Unable to open file â¦...
We then renamed the test.rdf file and tried to run that. Again we got the above message. Next we tried again to run test.rdf, even though this no longer existed, and the report ran. This implied that it isn't actually running the report, but has the report output stored somewhere, and it just displays this.
No matter how we try to run reports, and with which reports service, we always get the above error.
So why is it that no reports will run, not even the test one when it is renamed? Is there a configuration setting somewhere?

Hope YOu are fine.
We have running Oracle Forms and Reports Services 10g on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
The Application Works fine, and reports are generated successfully.
But when we access the same application by using either Linux OS (RHEL 4.0, Ubuntu 6),
The forms works fine but Linux OS could not run the report.
This seems to be a configuration problem.
Any Clues.

I know in the 9 versions of discoverer is there is a Discoverer v5 Business Area that is included out of the box. You have to have the stats turned on inside of the pref.txt. But that BA has all of the information to create queries about who, what, parameters, etc. You'll have to check and see if its part of 4i.

I am not an AD administrator and I do not have permissions to AD server. But I have admin permissions to a site in AD and using RSAT, can administer the site. How can I want run the reports listed below? AD is on Windows 2008R2 server.

Some of your reports can be done using RSAT with Active Directory Powershell module. Some of them including
Computer Accounts Changed needs auditing to be enabled for directory object changes. These are not predefined reports which you can simply run my friend. Can you please be more specific?

Ok, I was able to figure out the functions that were confusing me. For my own record and for those that do not know, I will list how to create the objects necessary to add a new report to a menu.
1-Write JSP (should be written just how Oracle writes theirs)
2-Creat function for the new JSP page as System Administrator responsibility
3-Use Sys Admin to add the function to a menu somewhere
4-Using AK Developer responsibility, create an attribute with the label of the attribute being the name of your function you created. Oracle's convention is the name of the attribute has FS in it.
5-Using AK Developer, lookup the ASF_FUNC_SEC_REG region
6-Drill down into that regions attributes
7-Add a your newly created attribute to this region

How do I create a report of what is run and when on Crystal Server

In crystal server, how do I create a report that will tell me the name of all of my reports and the time it is scheduled to run?
I get the feeling it is in the Query Builder, but I have no idea what the names of all of these tables are.
Anyone ever done this or know of another way to do this?

You can schedule different jobs with same program name.
Use ENQUEUE_ & DEQUEUE_ to lock/unlock the records being process. The lock objects can be created in SE11.

I've done this in 11g. I think it will be the same in 10g as well
Following are the steps in 11g using run_report_object.
1. Read metalink note: Using the Reports Server Queue PL/SQL Table and API - RW_SERVER_JOB_QUEUE [ID 72531.1]
2. Implement RW_SERVER_JOB_QUEUE table as per above notes.
3. When submitting report run it as background
a. SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(lo_report_object, REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE, ASYNCHRONOUS); -
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(lo_report_object, REPORT_COMM_MODE , BATCH);
4. Display the job_id to user (notification).
5. Create a new form to view reports base on on RW_SERVER_JOB_QUEUE which provides you the status, etc.... (you may have to create a way to identify the username who submitted the job. This way not all users will see the jobs in RW_SERVER_JOB_QUEUE )
6. Optionally you can use NOTIFYSUCCESS=email to notify user when the report is finished.

How Warehouse Activity Monitor LL01 Report is Running in background?

Hi Gurus,
I am Working in IMWM are & giving support. Client is facing problem with this Report, as this report is not running frequently as per scheduled in Configuration settings. for e.g after 4 hrs or after 12 hrs or 1 week etc.
Does any body know how this program is running in background?
Do I need to create any Batch Job for this?
As per our developer no need of Batch job, it has to run automatically. So if anybody know this, please let me know ASAP. We need to submit solution to client.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I can't see any sense of running LL01 as background job. I think users have to run the report themselves, and it is possible to refresh it in the report itself or by running it again.

This report requires users' interaction so, I can't understand what you want to achieve.

How to run Reports demos?

I finally got everything installed and I'm trying to run the Reports demos off of the mid-tier web site. when I click on the jsp report demo it brings up the parameter page. I just use the defaults and click the run button. when I do that it asks me for a SSO login/password. what do I use here? I've looked over all the docs I can think of without finding anything.

how do I run reports in netscape browser.
Reports currently are running in IE.
In Forms - preferences I have set it to Netscape and the forms run in netscape which is what I want for reports too. Where in reports builder, i have to specify the browser settings.

Does anybody know how to generate a running number in oracle report? for eg. 1,2,3,4....
Is there anyway to format these running number to i,ii,iii,iv,v,vi.... or a,b,c,d,e....

Here is one way to do this:
In the data model create a function and a placeholder in the group you want the numbers/letters to show. Set the placeholder name to cp_count and the datatype to number. Set the formula's formula to read:
:cp_count := nvl(:cp_count,0) + 1;
return :cp_count;
And in the conditional formatting property of the field you want to show 1,2,3 or i,ii,iii in the layout editor add either:
srw.set_format_mask ('RN');
or
srw.set_format_mask ('NNN');
return true;
I couldn't figure out how to get the a,b,c one'es to work easily. You can put in a large IF statement to return a for 1, b for 2, as in "if :cp_count = 1 then return 'A'
