How to rerun Roo.sh script successfully

hi,
my machine got restarted accidently while I was running Root.sh script after clusterware installation on second node and script could not run completely. so many daemons like gsd, evm and ons could not be configured or started. plz guide me how to rerun the script successfully becoz when I run the script again it does not complete. what's the work around for this!
the reason is that I could not run vipca successfully as ons and gsd files were missing or not configured.

If you don't want to re-install oracle clusterware from start, and as your OCR could be corrupted if previous execution of root.sh on second node did not succeed, Solution and advice is to :
- Stop all crs process on node 1, and node2 if any ... (as root, $ORA_CRS_HOME/bin/crsctl stop crs).
- remove last added oracle entries in /etc/inittab on both nodes
- dd OCR and voting disks, and set back the proper ownership and permissions to them, on all nodes.
- Remove /etc/oracle directory on both nodes
- Re-run root.sh on first node
Then if success, run root.sh on second node.
- Then Check file $ORA_CRS_HOME/cfgtoollogs/configToolAllCommands

Do execute the 3 commands from one node as oracle user.
Then you should have your clusterware up and running on both nodes, with ONS, GSD and VIP.
If VIP is not configured at end of root.sh script from last node, do run vipca as root user to configure the VIPs.

==> This note has all necessary information, using the rootdelete.sh script
Only part missing in this note is to re-execute $ORA_CRS_HOME/cfgtoollogs/configToolAllCommands to set properly ONS, Cluster interconnect and public network.
And if needed to re-install, use following note :
Note 239998.1 - "10g RAC: How to Clean Up After a Failed CRS Install"
==> to clean properly the system, and start again the installation as supported by oracle.

Hello can any one suggest me how to call a shell script from a java program that takes three parameters.
i have a shell script (msp_restore_gui) when i run this script in the command line in a RHEL5 ,SUSE10 and Debian machine it works fine .I even tested to call it from a java program and it also worked fine but when i used the same in a J2ee application where the user when clicks the restore button in a webserver this inturn sends the request to a java file named BackupManager.java where i call the shell script.But here it fails.Waiting for your suggestions.If you want i can put the code also here

How to call a shell script via ODI

Hi,
I need suggestion on following issues:
1) How to call a shell script via ODI?.. I tried using OSCommand utility .inspite of the execution being successful the data is not written into the new file in the desired format. After processing new file is created in the mentioned location but its empty.
2) I'm calling a procedure in ODI to load data into my fact. But once the fact gets loaded i want to update the log details (num of rows processed,num of rows inserted,num of rows rejected etc) in my log table. I'm planning to use a proc for updating but need to know from where can i find these details. Is there a table in work rep which gives me these info like how we get if we execute an interface.?
Please help me out.. Its urgent

Question 1 appears a little vague, please elaborate. If you're looking to capture a return value from the command execution, you will need to pipe the return value to a file, then read from there.
The execution information is stored in the SNP_STEP_LOG table in the Work Repository. You will need to do a series of joins to retrieve the exact table that was updated. Good luck with this...

After you have run TOAD and connected to Oracle DB, TOAD will open a "SQL Editor" window. If it does not, you can open it by clicking the "SQL" or "Editor" button in the tool bar.
You can open the script in TOAD's SQL Editor Window like this:
Press "Open File" button (yellow file icon) from the tool bar [ or from File menu, click "Open File" option]
Navigate to directory where you script is residing
select the script file and press "Open" button
Now you can press the yellow 'bolt' button to execute your script.
Once you have run the script successfully, click on the "Schema Browser" button [ which is next to the "Editor" button ]. In the schema browser's "Tables" tab, you can look for the table you have created.
Alternately, you can also use SQLPlus to run your script either after launching SQLPlus and connecting to DB or from the command line.

You do not need "commit" after DDL statements. I noticed "commit" statements in your script. You can remove them.

How to remove a java script pop up

Hi,
I imported a robohelp document from another company and i am
catering it to my company's needs. The problem is they have popups
which refer to .bmp and it is in java script. If i highlight the
word which has the pop up and remove the popup and then highlight
the normal word again and refer it to my topic in the project
manger; it still refers to their image and not mine. It is strange
but true. I don't know how to remove the java script cos each time
i hover over the highlighted text there are 2 red squares on the
left and right hand side of the word highlighted which i want to
change from their image to mine.
Any help would be much appreciated .

if you could paste this code on your word doc and try to
search for .bmp it exactly shows where it is used i tried removing
that line but it acted strange as even when i added a pop up to a

I do not understand how to install the Leander Script that I received as a gfit with my purchase of Adobe. The instructors say navigate to the folder where the fonts are. Then it says to select the fonts. I do not see how to select the fonts, then right click the fonts and choose install. I do not see these aspects of the instructions.

First log on to your target client.
Go to SE71 initial screen.
Here go to Utilities --> Copy from Client..
now u will get a screen from where u can copy the form form source client to current client...
OR u can do the following
you can use the tcode scc1 in the target cleint so as to copy from the developed cleint. Then you need to give in the request number only and click on start immediately.
