How to reset mac os x with no after starting apps?

Hi,
I am getting realy angry with os x becuse all the time when I restart my mac book pro with maverics all currently open apps are getting send to mem, and they start after the restart.
Is there a way to do a full reset of system so that no apps which are not in bashrc or other system staring apps wont start ?

That's the way it is supposed to work.
Try System Prefs, General, Close Windows when quitting apps

How To Reset Mac Mail 3.6 To Default Settings

Hello Mac People!
6 months ago I was using a third party tool with my Mac Mail. The tool added an auto BCC address to every outgoing mail. I no longer use the tool and deactivated the third party tool. But there was an error in deactivating and the BCC address is still attached to every outgoing email. I asked the third party tool and they tried everything to fix it, but nothing worked.
I visited the Genius Bar and they said the only way to fix it now, would be to reset my Mac Mail to the original settings (aka start all over) and then re-add each email account, folder, rule, preferences, etc.
It's a pain, but I have to do it.
Problem is I forgot how to save all my current emails in Mac Mail so when I reset everything I can re-import my current emails.
I also don't know how to reset Mac Mail to its original settings.

I did do this with the Genius Bar, but possible we missed something, so here's a list of what was in each folder:

How to reset mac mail & retain folders - Please Help!

Long story short - I need to save a backup copy of my mail folders which I think I've done, then reset mac mail & load the saved folders back into mac mail.
I need to reset mac mail so it gets out of the stuck loop it's been in for 3 days as it uploads 25,000 (literally...here's where the long story could come in...) emails off my server for the second time.... quitting, force quitting & turning the computer off & on have already been done...anyway...hoping someone out there can give me either a place to find easy to understand step by step instructions on how to reset mac mail, or give me the steps themselves here.

Install or Reinstall Lion from Scratch
If possible backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.

Personally, I would never use a debit card online, for security reasons. If your card gets hacked its your money that is stolen. At least with a credit card it is the card providers money that is stolen.
Anyway, I would delete the app and re-install. If you paid for the app in the first place you will be able to re-install free of charge. Also, the app should allow the in-app purchase to happen again as it should recognise that you have already purchased it previously.
Finally, it might be that the 3G doesnt have as much ram as more recent models of iphone and you may have applications running in the background that are preventing the app to function with the in-app purchase unless you shut down any apps eating all you memory that are running in the background. Shut-down these apps (and the simpson tap out app) by exiting to your home screen and double-tapping the home button to show what apps are running in the background. press and hold any of the open apps until it starts shaking. close all the apps down. exit then re-launch the app.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

Mac Pro display remains black after start up.

My 2008 Mac Pro display remains black after start up. It is plugged in properly and the light comes on, but the screen stays black. It first started doing this about a week ago, but after a manual restart or two, it would start up properly with the display working. Today the display has remained black every time I've tried to start up. Any suggestions for troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Safe Mode uses a very simple way of talking to the screen -- it does not even load the screen driver, and it uses a very common low resolution.
If it does not work that way, it simply does not work. You need a replacement graphics card.

Hi I just bought a new iPhone and iPad mini and I sign into my account but t will only let me buy free stuff and says I need to verify this devices with security questions well I don't know my security questions and I haven't know them for a long time but I keep finding the same way to change them with a rescue email but I never can figure out how to do it or there is no way for me to do it cause no matter how many emails I put on there it won't let me choose to send rescue email so I'm looking for a different way to change the security questions

Jeff, I appreciate your comment, so you haven't had any problem with using the painttools in CS 6 photoshop and the 3d type etc, in other words all the features that CS6 photoshop has.
I was thinking about buying the mac mini but was concerned how it works with CS 5 (which I have) I will have to take another look at the MiniMac server with the 3000 card. I do a lot of Digital Painting primarily Painter 12.2 but and would like to use the Painter brushes in CS 5 ( have not upgraded to CS 6.) My Imac is 6 years old and really is not fast enough.

How to reset Mac OS X Lion system?

I installed Adobe Master Collection CS5.5 Trial version on my 17" MacBook Pro. But After Effects crashes everytime I open the program. I searched on Google but I didn't find the answer.
The warning is:
I created a new user account and After Effects CS5.5 works well. So I think there are something wrong in my main account.
I want to know is there any way to reset the system just like a new account? I don't want to transfer the data, that would take a long time.

Well, I don't want to transfer the data, it would cost me a long time. In fact I just creat a new acount and then transfer the data it should be ok.
I want to know is there anyway to solve this issue without reinstall lion or create a new account and transfer the data.
But I would try your way if there was not any better solution.

How do I get Google maps with Streetview after iPhone update to OS 6.0?

I just updated my iphone to OS 6.0, and by doing so the Google maps app, which was working quite fine, got replaced with an Apple map app, which is significantly inferior and doesn't feature Streetview. I downloaded Google maps, but it doesn't have Streetview. How do I get the original app back (or something similar)?

Hi Eric. I did add Google using CalDAV. It seemed to work and sync changes instantly. However, I still needed to keep my "synchronize with google" account on "on my Mac". This made no sense to me. Why do I need both of these to make Google contacts sync properly?
Something I did find out: My "synchronize with google" account on "on my Mac" did eventually sync with my google account (please ignore the CalDAV comment for this point). However, it took multiple hours for the syncing to occur. So, the original way I tried to do it (explained in my original post) did work, but it took multiple hours for the auto syncing to occur. This is a failure from an autosyncing perspective.
While I did come up with a work around using a second CalDAV account in additon to my original "synchronize with google" account, I am still confused on the right way to do it. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Circle with line after starting Mavericks install

Hi everyone,
I downloaded Mavericks and started the install. My Mac restarted, and the grey Apple logo turned into a circle with a line through it. It's been like this for around two hours now. There's the spinning "wait" circle below that. Has something gone wrong? I have a MacBook Pro, non-retina, mid-2012. I had OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 before starting the upgrade. Thanks!

Apologies for my impatience
I found that I could get back to ML by going into recovery mode and repairing permissions. I ran Apple Hardware Test and got no errors, so the hardware was okay. I contacted Apple Support via chat and resetting the SMC was suggested. I did that but it didn't work. So, I decided the best thing to do was to take my MacBook to the Genius Bar at the local Apple Store.
When the technician tried to install their copy of Mavericks, the installer froze up, so he force-quit it and rebooted in "select startup disk" mode (not sure that's the right term). He selected his 10.9 install disk and when it booted up, it looked like recovery mode. He used his Disk Utility to see if there was a problem with my hard disk. We had run my Mac's DU with no problem, but when he used theirs, we noticed that the volume wasn't mounted (greyed out). The main disk was there, but the volume beneath it was greyed out, and when he clicked the Mount button, it didn't. Disk Utility reported it as locked (not sure that means anything), but he simply couldn't mount the drive. He thought perhaps there was a FileVault issue. When I first got my Mac, I used FileVault to encrypt the hard disk. When I kept getting prompted for passwords too much, I decrypted it.
I made a Time Machine backup two days ago, after I got back into ML. The tech asked me if I was comfortable if we erased the disk, install Mavericks fresh, then I'd do a Migration Assistant to get my apps and files back. That's what we did. It took from 30 - 40 minutes to complete. After doing a fresh install of Mavericks, I migrated my data back - now I'm running Mavericks. I honestly don't know if this issue was really caused by my encrypting and decrypting my hard disk, if it was just a bad download of the Mavericks installer, or I had some sort of data corruption that prevented the installer from being able to access my hard disk.
I've read that it's best to install over ML, but in my case, it worked out better to erase the drive and install fresh, then use Migration Assistant and Time Machine to get my user account, apps, and files back. I'll hesitate using FileVault now, though.
I don't know if this information will help anyone, but this is what worked to get me up and running.
