How to reset macbook to factory system ?
My Macbook is keep popping out those advertisement and those virus website . Watching online drama is also very lag , how can i fix these problem ? Mac Pro Os x 10.9.5
Click here and follow the instructions, or if there’s a type of adware not covered by them on the computer, these ones. If you're willing to use a tool to remove it(you don't need to, but may find it easier), you can instead run Adware Medic; this link is a direct download.

How to reset macbook pro to original settings?
I am not using my macbook pro and would like to give it to a grandson; but I need to get rid of all my information before sending.
It is so easy with an IPad and iphone; should be just as easy with all Apple computers..
thank you in advance.
RitaBoot from your install disk & erase the drive, then install OS X, when the Welcome Screen stops, Commad + Q to quit the installer, eject the DVD, shut the computer down. Give it to your grandson.
If running Lion, post back.
One more thing...deauthorize iTunes BEFORE you erase the drive. -
HT1338 how to reset my macbook pro to factory setting?
how to reset macbook pro to factory setting?
To restore your computer to factory settings:
1. Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.
2. Select "Macintosh HD" in the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
3. Close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X.
After reinstalling OS X, you will have to reinstall your iLife applications. If your Mac came with DVDs, just insert the Applications disc and install them. If your Mac didn't come with DVDs, open App Store > Purchases, and download the iLife applications -
I have a late-2011 13-inch MacBook Pro running OS X Yosemite. (Standard configuration).
My problem is that I downloaded a fan control application and it worked perfectly, but it started to get annoying so I deleted it.
Does anyone know how to reset the fan speed back to factory settings (Maybe a command in terminal?)Hello damo1177,
It should help to reset your system's SMC and NVRAM.

How to reset my macbook pro to factory setting?
Click here and follow the instructions. If the computer originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier, when you reach step 5, insert its original disk, restart with the C key held down, use the Disk Utility to erase the internal drive, and install a fresh OS.

HOW TO RESET MY MACBOOK PRO MD976 AS I WANT TO DELETE ALL DATA FROM MACBOOK
how do i reset macbook pro MD976 to factory setting ? , cause i want to sell it .
Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
side.
4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
sure to opt for that.
Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See What to do with iCloud before selling your computer.
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
4. Install OS X.
5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
6. Shutdown the computer.
B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
it is three times faster than wireless.
1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
Utilities window appears.
2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License. -

As you have OS X Mountain Lion, try resetting the password from Recovery > http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4101
It looks like OS X was reinstalled. After resetting the password, you will be able to log in and use your MacBook Pro -

Macbook internal battery frozen - how to reset?
Hi all,
I have here a late model macbook with an internal battery - it seems to have frozen on startup, the screen is just white. I've tried holding the power button down for 10 seconds, but it doesn't reset. Even if I close the screen, the backlight for the display remains lit. I'm sort of stuck trying to figure out how to reset this thing, in normal cases I would remove the battery but obviously its not possible in this case.
If anyone can advise where to go from here it would be appreciated. Otherwise I'm guessing I just need to leave it to one side until the battery finally drains.
Thanks
SamHi Dave, thanks for your reply.
The problem is that I can't get to the initial boot phase to reset the SMC, as the macbook had frozen with a white screen after starting - i.e. it was running and I had no way of rebooting it (as mentioned, holding down the power button had no effect). I left it at the office overnight so the battery should be well and truly drained by now, I'm hoping I'll be able to plug in the power and reset the SMC as you suggest. -
