When I updated my iPhone 4s to ios 7 it asked for old apple id which I haven't access to. I forgot my old apple id and password. Now my phone is stuck in activation screen. How do I reset old id and login with new id. Please help me.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I updated my ipod touch to the latest version 6.1 and after updating it restarted and was frozen at the apple logo screen since Monday. I tried calling Apple Support and they went through the steps of getting into recovery mode as well as trying to reboot my ipod touch but I first had to update & restore first through iTunes. I wasn't able to update because my connection kept timing out so I decided to download the ipsw file from this website: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
After waiting a whole day for the download(because my internet connection is really slow), iTunes said that the ipod could not be restored because firmware was not compatible. I tried both version 6.0.0 and 6.0.1 and both came with that error notice. I don't know what to do now and I really need some help! I've tried holding the home+lock key many times and went through the whole procedure but nothign seems to work. It already says that my ipod updated to 6.1 but its just stuck at the apple logo. Help me Please!!!

If not successful try the remaining steps of the following:

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

During update to iOS5 on iPad1 was forced to change Apple Id to my Email address. But the iPad has old id. How do I change it on the iPad?

In iTunes (the latest, 10.5) select iTunes Store from the left hand side of the main window.
At the bottom of this there are 5 lists. Click Account under Manage. This will bring you to the Account Information page in iTunes.
In the first section "Apple Id Summary" it will show the apple id. This may be the old apple id (it was for me). To the right there is an Edit >. Click this and it will bring you to a page "Edit Apple Id Details"
This is where you can change the ID to the Email address that you gave during the update to iOS 5 process.
I did this while the iPad was connected and since then I have had no problems.
I think Apple should have changed this during the update process and that failure has led to the issue we have been discussing.

So I have two issues but I think this is the root of it. 1) I have been trying to download apps that are free but I can't. What happens is that I I try to install it and then it does the loading circle so I can just put in my apple ID password to download it but it just reverts back to the FREE button. 2) I tried to update my iphone 4s to ios 7.1.2 but I need a password and I enter my apple ID password assuming this is the password it wants but it says I put in the wrong password. The passcode for the update is the screen lock passcode - should be four digits if that is what you use to unlock your screen.

Have you tried swiping left to right?
Try going to Settings>General>Usage>Podcasts and select the the podcast you want to delete and tap edit in in upper left and delete the podcast.

Cannot update apps downloaded with old Apple ID after changing ID

My wife and I used to share my Apple ID on all mobile devices (iPhone 4S, iPad 2) and Mac so we could share contacts, calendar, purchases (apps & music). My Apple ID was an inactive email address. When I bought my iPhone 6 I decided to change Apple ID to a current email address and she created her own Apple ID for her iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Figured we could still share data through Family Share. Changed Apple IDs on all devices to the current ones.
Now, she cannot update apps on her devices as she gets message that her apps were downloaded with another Apple ID. It asks for password for that Apple ID (my old ID), and the passwords for my previous Apple ID and my new password don't work. I tried deleting the apps off her devices and then installing again from the Mac we backup to, but that did not work.
Also, is there a way to share contacts and calendar through Family Share or some other way. We don't seem to be sharing any longer since making all these changes. Why did I make the changes? Because using the same Apple ID on all devices was causing me to get her text messages and vice versa, and other strange things after updating to iOS 8.

It's normal it didn't work because you are reinstalling apps (that are on the Mac) that were purchased/obtained from your Apple ID. She needs to reinstall them through the App Store on her device, using her Apple ID.

Calendars can be shared through iCloud (A)(without Family Sharing), or using the following method (B) used for the contacts.
Contacts can neither be shared through iCloud or through Family Sharing.
To get them synced: Get all of your wife's contact on your iOS device. (you can send them to your iOS device through iMessage)
then go to your wife's iOS device: Settings --> Mail, Contacts, Calendar.
From there, disable her iCloud contacts, then add YOUR iCloud account, and select only contacts (and calendar if you want the method (B)).

I have been having a similar problem for the last few days.Without warning the signal will just completely duck out leaving the device searching for several minutes before settling on a no signal message.
Sometimes restarting the device, toggling data and 3g settings or toggling Airplane Mode will set things right. However, a lot of the time I've been left without a working phone.
I don't believe this is a SIM issue, as I had to change my SIM only one month ago for another signal related problem. Again any help would be appreciated here as well.

Apps are forever tied to the ID that was used to purchase them. You'll need to use the password to the old Apple ID to update them or delete them and buy them again under your new Apple ID.
This is why you don't change Apple IDs if at all possible. If your email changes, you can always update the Apple ID.

Downgrading the iOS isn't supported and wouldn't help even if you could. There have been reports of decreased battery life after every update since iOS 1.0.1.
There are lots of things that can be done including reinstalling push email accounts. basic phone reset (pressing both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears), and restoring the phone with and without a backup.

What you need to do is temporarily set up your new 4. Just long enough to update the operating system. Then you can erase all content and settings - which puts it back to its out of box state, then set it up again, this time restoring it from the backup of your two.
So, using the same Apple ID on both - just to keep things easy - set up your 4. Just basically choose 'set up as new' to activate it, then immediately update the iOS to 7.1.2.

Then set it up again, this time choosing to 'restore from the backup' of your 2 and your 4 will be a near clone of your two.
