I DONT want to go for the Factory Data Reset option, because it deletes all the installed apps which i managed with great difficulty. Instead I tried for Settings reset, but could not find the PIN for it. I tried 0000 also 1111 but doesnt work at all. Please someone help. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure that your computer is not connected to the internet. Then open iCal and choose iCal>Preferences...>Accounts> click on the gmail account and delete the account using the {-} "Remove an account" icon on the bottom left of the Accounts window.

How do I restore my 2011 MacBook Air to its original settings for resale? When I do the cmd R and go through the process, it begins the restore process for Mountain Lion because I upgraded to Mountain Liion on this machine a few months ago. And it's asking for my Apple ID. If I do that upgrade, the buyer will have a version of Mountain Lion that is associated with my Apple ID and that won't work. Also, isn't there licensing issues in such a case? I want to restore the MacBook Air to its original factory settings when I purchased it in April of 2011. At that time it was Lion and not Mountian Lion. And I don't want any software on this computer to be associated with my Apple ID.

In a desperation move I restored it to its original settings as if I just bought it. I chose the backup files version so that I didn't lose any data in memory, though I do have to restore some settings. When I ran Firefox all my bookmarks are gone. Everything is in the My Backup folder. How can I get my bookmarks back if I can?

As always, iphone will sync with one comptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
The backup that itunes performs does not include any itunes content. You should keep everything on your computer and should always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

You will need to use an external DVD drive to run the disc installer that came you your machine. You can also do it with another Mac using the Remote Install Max OS X app. Finely, if you have access to another computer, you could burn the install image on a USB thumb drive, boot from that, erase the drive and run the installer.

I think my daughter must have pressed a combination of keys on my MacBook Pro keyboard and changed the keyboard. However, my laptop has a password lock on it to get into it so I can't get past the password screen to get into the computer and figure out what's going on. I can't even see what characters are being typed when I press the keys because it just appears as ******. I do know something has happened though because when I pree the backspace or return keys, another * is typed, so obviously these keys are typing some sort of character. Any ideas on a shortcut I can use to restore my keyboard to its original settings?

But what is it you want to accomplish?

To try and fix boot looping:
First of all remove the battery from your phone or tablet, and wait for almost 2 to 3 minutes. What if your device does not have removable battery? Well, then you can power off it for almost 4 to 5 minutes.
Now you need to boot into Stock Recovery Mode by Pressing and Holding the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons at the same time for a few seconds until you see the Android System Recovery menu on your screen.
You’ll be using the Volume Up/Down to switch between different options and Power button to select your desire option.
Now select the Wipe data/Factory Reset option and confirm it.
Additionally, take also the following actions:
Wipe cache partition
Go to Advance and Wipe dalvick cache Now Go back to the main Recovery menu and Select the option Reboot System .

Do you have Sidebar ON?
iTunes > View > Show Sidebar.
Connect and select iPhone in iTunes Sidebar under DEVICES, choose the Music tab on the right, select Sync Music and whatever music you the on iPhone. Click Apply (bottom right)

Sounds like you have VoiceOver (one of the accessibility features) 'on'. Try triple-clicking the home button and see if that turns it off, and if it does you can then change what a triple-click does via Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home.
If that doesn't turn it off then you can either turn it off directly on the iPad (you need to use a tap-to-select and then double-tap to activate/type process and 3 fingered scrolling) to go into Settings > General > Accessibility and turn VoiceOver 'off', or you can do it by connecting to your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4064

Thanks for the info. I went here earlier, and it didn't help. It seems that the Firefox profile I am using is only the one created today when I reconnected with the browser, and no old one seems available. It's history in all the compartments I go to are all today.

Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPad and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. If you still have access to your old email address, do the following:
