How to reset SM configuration

Hallo colleague!  How can I reset Solution Manager configuration without fully reinstalling?
Thanks in advance!

A little bit late but, to reset SM configuration you have to delete Solution Manager system from LMDB.
Check SAP Note 2020955 (SOLMAN_SETUP has been reset and is in "grey" status)

  • ACE20 Context - how to reset context configuration?

    Hi,
    is there a way to reset/clear a particular context's configuration?
    I see there is a 'wri erase' within a context, but no reload/reset - neither from the context itself nor from the Admin... puzzling...
    I dont want to reload an entire blade just to clear one of the context's configs...
    Thanks!

    Hello,
    Here, you have a document about checkpoint, you could check it out as reference as well:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/data_center_app_services/ace_appliances/vA1_7_/configuration/administration/guide/upgrade.html#wp1012331
    As per this cisco document:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/data_center_app_services/ace_appliances/vA3_1_0/configuration/device_manager/guide/UGconfg.html#wp1002105, this is the procedure via GUI:
    Deleting Virtual Contexts
    Use this procedure to remove an existing virtual context.
    Procedure
    Step 1 Select Config > Virtual Contexts. The All Virtual Contexts table appears.
    Step 2 Select the virtual context you want to remove, then click Delete. A window appears, asking you to confirm the deletion.
    Step 3 Click:
    •OK to delete the selected context. The device tree refreshes and the deleted context no longer appears.
    •Cancel to exit this procedure and to retain the selected context.

  • How to reset SquirrelMail Configuration?

    Hi,
    I was editing my SquirrelMail Configuration (sudo /etc/squirrelmail/config/config.pl) and I believe I put something in wrong and I am now getting errors in my webmail. Is there any way at all to reset the SquirrelMail Configuration? Thanks

    Ah... er... Well I always do get my 'customers' in a pinch with my uber-scripts. I did not remember that there is a command on most every *nix out there called, you guessed it, yes. And if you were to type anything like 'yes please, all of it' it would say please FOREVER, or until you hit CTRL-C or closed the terminal session or rebooted the computer.
    OK so scratch that command and on to the other trouble.
    So we need to break this down and see what is going on. So from a terminal type the following
    cd /etc/squirrelmail/config/
    ls -al
    when you type in the 2nd line above (the ls command) you should see AT LEAST 2 files and possibly more. you should see something like this:
    drwxr-xr-x 8 root wheel 272 Oct 31 22:46 ./
    drwxr-xr-x 4 root wheel 136 May 11 2005 ../
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 136705 Aug 22 09:29 conf.pl
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 7375 Nov 30 11:11 config.php
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 25373 Aug 22 09:29 config_default.php
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 26025 Aug 22 09:29 configdefaultapple.php
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 191 Mar 20 2005 config_local.php
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 470 Mar 20 2005 index.php
    without going through all of this, we need to delete the file called. config.php. We can accomplish this by etiher really deleting the file or renaming the file or moving it form the current folder. I attempted this by the command
    sudo mv /etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php ~/.Trash/
    this will move the file called config.php to the root trashcan. we could also do something like this (and this is the command I want you to try next)
    sudo mv /etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php /etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php.bad
    That is all one line. This gets rid of whatever configureation that squirrelmail has currently and renames it to dot bad.
    The last command to run is
    sudo cp /etc/squirrelmail/config/configdefaultapple.php /etc/squirrelmail/config/config.php
    This puts a copy of the apple default setup back in place so you can run conf.pl.
    Hope this makes it all a little better.

  • Reset  SMD-Configuration data for the solution

    Hello!
    I would like to know how to reset the configuration data for the solution in SMD wizard.
    The solution has already the status "green" --> "This solution is ready for Diagnostics".
    The problem is that I cannot change the settings for the server ("Setup parameters").
    The instance number there (98) cannot be changed.
    Further question:
    how to install the introscope agent via SMD Wizard?
    If I choose the solution and press "Setup Introscope Agent" I get the warning:
    The landscape definition of the selected system is empty. Operation has been aborted
    Furthermore I cannot see any parameters:
    neigther for Server Node Details nor for Current VM Parameters. Here I get the warning:
    There is no detail available for this server node. Check the Last Operation Result pane for more information.
    Any helpful information wil be appreciated.
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Thom

    Hi Thom,
    To reset configuration there is possibility to remove Landscape Info using
    Diagnostics Administration -> Diagnostics System -> Landscape management.
    For your issue with Wily, you must have a solution correctly define. this setup will not work until you have it.

  • How to reset iTunes backup configuration for iPad and iPhone?

    After buying a new Mac, I migrated my settings (because there were w a lot of apps) and generally everything's working. Except when I try to sync my iPad or iPhone, I get the following error:
    iTunes could not backup the (device) ... because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPad
    A few notes
    It does work with a new account, just not this one, so there's some setting somewhere that probably needs to go
    I did repair disk permissions
    I tried to reset preferences via mv *iTunes* to a backup folder in <user>/Library/Preferences
    There are no backups on this machine (if you go to iTunes / Settings / Devices the "device backups" list is empty)
    It still feels like something is pointing somewhere invalid, but I have no idea how to reset it.

    The problem turned out to be a symlink to a folder that pointed nowhere where the backups were stored.
    I seriously doubt many people are going to run into this issue, but hey, there you go, another thing to watch out for are symlinks if you transfer your settings to a new machine.
    The reason before was that I was clearing out space on a SSD, and backups took up enough room.

  • How to reset password on M175nw?

    I'm trying to change the password for the WiFi (I recently changed my WiFi network's pass phrase).  I need to change it through the Wireless Configuration from the Networking tab of the now LAN-connected Laser Jet Pro 100 M175nw.  But it's asking for a password.  For some reason, I forgot the password I used the first time I set it up.
    Menu access is disabled in the printer, so I can't remove or reset web access from there.
    How to reset the password?  Or better yet, how to reset the printer so I can start over?
    Thanks.

Now I'm looking for some dierection on how to change everything out of FACTORY default to my own info. Not very computer smart but not a total idiot. Thanks Tyler D.

  • How to reset composite statitics from Enterprise Manager

    Hi,
    Someone knows how to reset statitics from a composite with their components, services and references from EM 11g without redeploy the composite?
    Thank You in advance.
    JP

    John,
    Yes your assumption is correct. Also, I have uninstalled (and removed user data) and re-installed DM. Also rebooted PC but still no luck. Eveytime I connect my new device to DM it pops up a msg: "Your messaging account is currently configured to use <old device>. Would you like to switch to <new device> instead?". I then proceed to click on "Yes", it still shows Active Device as the old one and Device Connected as new one.

    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school enviroment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom

  • How to reset the wiki server (MAC OS X 10.9 with OS X Server App Version 3) with all wiki datas only

    Hi,
    I need to reset my Wiki on MAC OS X 10.9 with OS X Server App Version 3, but without reinstalling the whole server app to configure all services.
    Does anybody knows how to reset the wiki server (MAC OS X 10.9 with OS X Server App Version 3) with all wiki datas only.
    Thanks a lot for your hints

    Hi Linc,
    sorry, I haven't saved the System-Logfile before restoring my parallels VM.
    But it looks like issues of linking data.
    For testing the Server services I have done a reset for a user password and I have deleted the profiles and configuration from Client-Side. One with Mac OS X 10.9.1, one iPad with iOS 6.1.3. But it was not possible to reconfigure/reinstall the Server Profile. Also a manually configuration was odd, because for some services the new password was necessary and for other services the old password. Very strange.
    To bring back the services I have rolled back the last snapshot of my parallels VM. Afterwards there was no probleme to reconfigure/reinstall the Profile on Client-Side (OS X 10.9.1 and iOS 6.1.3). Also the manually configuration shows the password for all services are matching with the current configuration.
    I'm going to install a further parallels VM with Mac OS X 10.9.1 and Server App 3 from scratch to move the services.
    Greetings
