Hello, i managed to submerge my iphone 5 in water and it will no longer turn on or recognize any sort of charge. I would like to send it in for a replacement. Unfortunately, there are files on the iphone which i am legally obligated NOT to share or disburse, regardless of Apple's policy of alleged deletion upon receipt. Is there any way to permanently wipe the memory of the iphone 5 without activating it?

Unless you drop the very large magnet on the iPhone, it will have no effect.

You do the opposite of how you got them on your phone, you unsync the pics using iTunes.

Sorry, there is nothing you can do until the device is removed from the sellers Apple ID.

You need to sync your iPhone contacts with the Address Book on your Mac, which is as designed and intended.
Before the first sync for this data, enter one contact in the Address Book on your Mac. Make this contact up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
Syncing contacts with the Address Book is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
The same applies before syncing calendar events with iCal if you aren't using iCal on your Mac for calendar events.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. Since I upgraded to the latest version of IOS, is worse. The wi-fi does not work anymore, 3G network makes it even more hard to get, some apps that should work, close or take a long time to load, even the screen to make phone calls has long recharge times. Do you have suggestions? Thank you!
