How to resist a page to be closed

Hi ,
If i want to close my browser when working on the application i like to track top right corner page close button so that before exit it will display a alert box or popup another page unloading parent page .
How this can be implemented.

not possible on all platforms and browsers (maybe on Win with Explorer based user...but need some adition ActiveX control to be installed).
Forget that thoughts-WEB is for open world with maximum security and such an action is not!

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

How to Open On Page closed webparts?

I had a page that was giving me problems. In Web Part Maintenance Page, I closed all of the web parts. Would up be a Managed Metadata issue, it's fixed, and now I want to re-open all of those web parts. Way to do it through ?contents=1 or spcontnt.aspx?

Hi Scott,
To open the closed Web Parts, you need to edit the page where you closed the web parts and then re-add the closed web parts to the page from the Closed Web Parts Gallery:
Place the page into edit mode, then click Insert in the ribbon tab and click Web Part in the ribbon.
Scroll down the folders to the Closed Web Parts folder in the web part Categories, then you will see all the closed web parts in the page.
Click Add to add the web parts you need to the page.

How to Refresh a Page once saved to database in ADF.

Hi,
I created a JSF page using project template as "JSF,ADF,business components".
There is a List of values displayed in a dropdown list,
User can create new value and once it is saved to the database it should reflect in the list of values.But it is not displaying in the LOV and it is happening only when i close that page and open a new one.
Can u please tell me how to refresh a page without closing the current page once save button is clicked.

MiniTechnically Yes, you can create a D.A. that will fire only once based on some apex page item or application item value. However this is NOT the correct solution.
<li> When you see apex page (after clicking menu in EBS), do you see apex url in browser address bar? Can you post the URL here?
<li> If you directly log-in to APEX (not via EBS), do you still face this issue?

How can I use Pages 4.3 (from Retail pack) template on Pages 5.2 (from Mac App Store)?

This is a new machine running on Mavericks bought last year since my old Mac had a hard-drive failure. Installed Pages (part of iWork '09 package), updated to Pages 5.0 from the Mac App Store and no issues. However, now I need to use some of the old Pages template (San Fancisco Letter to be specific) and the new Pages dosn't have that.
So I had to extract the San Fancisco template from Pages '09 and tried installing under 'My Template' on Pages 5.3. But evertime I'm getting an error while installing. That's when I realised after going through the discussions here, that I can't install a Pages '09 template on Pages 5.3.
So my question is how to use a Pages 4.0 template on Pages 5.3? Is it possible to install Pages 4.3 while Pages 5.2 is still installed? Is there a workaround?
Note: I don't need Pages 4.3 but would like to use some of the templates from there, working on Pages 5.2.

Due to the huge number of missing features in v5.2 that were functional in Pages ’09 v4.3, many of the older version templates expect features/functionality that simply do not exist in v5.2. You should realize that Pages v5 is a brand new application/design, and not a progressive version enhancement to Pages ’09.
When you updated to Pages v5, that process automatically moved Pages ’09 v4.3 into /Applications/iWork '09. You can continue to use the older Pages (and associated custom templates) on Mavericks.
I would resist removing Pages ’09 from your machine, as it is functionally superior to Pages v5.
Templates that you save with Pages ’09 v4.3 are kept in ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates
Templates that you save with Pages v5+ are kept in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iWork.Pages/Data/Library/Application Support/User Templates
One of the things that I noticed about the original Pages v5 installation is that it transferred a small subset of My Templates from Pages ’09 into the above User Templates location. These were relative simple templates. The complicated ones did not migrate.
Be certain to make a backup copy of any Pages ’09 template document. Once you open it in Pages v5+, it can no longer be opened in the older Pages application. Providing the template is compatible with Pages v5+, perform a File > Save as Template... to the default location.

click the home button twice, when you see the apps line up on the page, swipe the ones you want to close up and off the page. Scroll to access more apps, tap the home button once to exit the mode
For battery issues, look in the notifications. iOS7 defaults a lot on that you may not need. Also look to the background updating of apps. That can drain battery too.

If you haven't modified anything, Pages is installed on /Applications. All users have access to this folder, identified as "Applications" on the Finder sidebar, so you don't have to move anything, because Pages will work on all your users.
If you have installed Pages on ~/Applications (being ~ your user folder), then you have to move Pages to /Applications. After doing this, you will be able to access to Pages on all users

we can do this in SAP Scripts.
we need to create two pages, one of landscape and another of potrait.
now after filling the data at last we need to call the page which is of format landscape using START_FORM function module.
You can use condition &PAGE& = &FORMPAGES&.

when i close firefox at any page and also when i close my pc and then i open the program i find it open on last page which i closed at ,, although i made home page for it to open at and it doesn't make the order

Check in preferences > general > Startup: Do you have "Show my windows and tabs from last time" selected? If so change to "Show my home page" (or blank page).
Note: this may happen when quitting Firefox, and you inadvertently click "Save and Quit" and select "Do not ask next time".

How to add addtitional pages in design view?

How do I create additional pages in design view? I have tried using NEW PAGE AFTER, but that doesnt add another page in design view, like I need.
I am creating a report that uses 8 subreports per page to dynamically create labels. Currently I have a report header, and am using the page header to arrange the subreports so the top of each subreport prints on the top of each label. The fields in the subreports can grow, and fill in the label from the top down.
I need to create a multiple pages using this format, but I dont know how to add more pages in design view. Essentially I need subreports 1-8 on page 1, 9-16 on page 2, etc. I would like to preserve the formatting I have created thus far, but I can always change it if I have to.

In attempting to create the label sheets I needed, I ended up creating 14 separate reports (which report on 6 individual queries), because there are 14 pages worth of labels that need to be created. What I wish to accomplish is to condense these 14 reports down to 6 reports. One for each query. What I absolutely cant find a way to do, is to get Crystal Reports to allow me to customize subreports on consecutive pages. Again, I have 8 subreports on each page, which have been formatted to fit on 8 labels when printed. Each subreport is identical in design, but has a different range selected (i.e. my driving value in each subreport has been modified with Select Expert to be between 1 and 5, or 6 and 10, or 11 and 15). This is how I have been able to return 5 consecutive results on each label, with the next label returning the following 5 results.
My ultimate question: Is it possible to create a multi-page report using this method?

How to remove blank pages from report

i have a condition where i have to display the record only when trxn lines are available for that record ,inside my for each group condition i put the if condition having a count variable so if count is not zero then only the record will be displayed ,it works but problem is it shows blank pages for those records.

the getAppletContext() method of the Applet class will get you an AppletContext, with which you can call the ShowDocument(URL url) or ShowDocument(URL url, String target) method...
