How to resize a document and it's contents
hello i have a multi page indesign document. the client is rather fickle and i need to change the page size and i'm wondering if there is any way of doing so that sizes the contents of the spreads along with the document. seems rather silly to manually resize the content of every page individually. any help would be great

Place the document pages into a new file of the correct size. You can use the script you'll find here: InDesignSecrets » Blog Archive » Zanelli Releases MultiPageImporter for Importing both PDF and INDD Files to automate the placement and do the scaling in one step.

How to resize a document and its contents?
I'm having some trouble resizing a single page, and a single part of that page, on my document.
First the details: My page dimensions are 800 x 1200. On top of that black background, there's textured layer measuring 760 x 130 at the top (for website's name/logo/misson statement) and 760 x 990 below (for site's content and graphics). There are 20 px borders (between textured layer and background) at the top and sides, and 10 px border at the bottom. The 50 px gap between the top and main textured areas is for the navigation bar.
Now the problem: I want to resize just one page to 800 x 1250 px. And to complicate things, I only want to grow the bottom part by those 50 px, so that that textured layer measures 760 x 1040 (I have to add something to that page's main content, so I don't want to affect the size of either navigation bar or site's name/logo).
Adobe instructions (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Fireworks/10.0_Using/WSAE41683F-ED20-4488-9389-79DC28BD7CE0.ht ml) haven't been much help. I go to Modify > Canvas > Image Size, change to 1250 pixels, click off "constrain proportions" and click on "resample image" and "current page only." When I do that, it does enlarge both the black background and the textured layer to the size I want. But it also:
1. Changes the entire page -- that is, it grows the nav bar and logo areas as well as the main content section.
and, strangely,
2. The textured layer on my two dozen other pages grows, but not the black background. In other words, I change both the background and layer size on the page I want to modify, but I inadvertently grow only the textured layer (but not background) on all of my other pages. (So the texture on all of those other pages now spills off the black background.)
So my question: How can I resize only the main content's background and textured layer on one page? Is it even possible?
Many thanks to anyone who can help. And my apologies for the lengthy explanation. But I'm new to webdesign and Adobe Fireworks, and I wanted to be as clear as possible about the problem.
PS If it matters, I'm using Fireworks CS4Thank you, Pixlar. However, I couldn't adjust the rectangle as you suggested, as it was on my master page. That was the problem I was having: Both the canvas and the texture layer I put on it (ie, the rectangle) were on the master page. I wanted to change the dimensions of both canvas and rectangle on only one page. Following Jim's suggestion, I was able to change the canvas, but not the rectangle (at least,not without adjusting the master page, which would have affected the layout of twenty other pages).
I finally decided to follow your other suggestion: Delete the old one and start over.

OK, I tried them all. Hit Caps doesn't do anything. E-mail to myself--ok, I got it in Mail, but can't get it out of there. I can read it there, but what if I accidently delete that mail? I have Pages. Can't get the PDF into iCloud. Dragged it to "books" in I tunes, and it is there, but doesn't get to the ipad.

Whoops! I quit iTunes, and reopened. It synced with my iPad, and lo and behold there in books is my PDF. Would sure be easier if when I plugged iPad in it appeared on my desk like a disk, and I could just drag and drop stuff. -

Any Help would be great!My requirements are the Word documents are a template of sorts. The document will be changes prior to its email with some changes. The other twist is that the customer might more that one recipients, and each recipient will have to have a separate
email, with the same content of the word document.
For example: Say I'm doing maintenance. The Word doc might descript that maintenance, in a set format. Once save the script is run to generate 3 to 10 email with separate recipients with the body of the email containing what was in the Word document. -
How do I delete documents and data on the iPhone 5?
I've been seeing responses such as turning it off, so I did. However I didnt change my memory at all and when I found out whats using it up it was message with (saved) next to it. So i deleted some conversations from other contacts, but it barely dropped to like 1 GB. I check and check to see what else is being used up and music I don't have a problem with and I always delete pics and apps, like google drive. Can someone tell me how can i delete even more of documents and data?

How do you get documents (and other links) to open in Safari?
I have a website that I use for school and there are course documents and such that I would like to open right in the Safari window, but Safari always downloads them. I know that they can be opened in the same window, but I can't figure out how to get Safari to do it.
Most modern Web browsers can only "open" a few file extensions. Some are .html, .htm, .asp, .php and .txt.
Most software create file extensions at saving. Some users choose to "hide" the file extension from the file name and rely on "icons" to decide which app will open them.
So. What does a person have to do to get the browser to open the file?
Example: Microsoft Word creates .doc file extension files and they will always be downloaded in a browser.
TextEdit can create .rtf (Rich Text Format) or .txt (Text) file formats. The .rtf will download but a .txt file can be displayed by a browser.
Microsoft Word can also save a file as .html and it will be viewable in a browser (as long as all the support and image files are inside the same folder).
What is the application that makes the files? What save as (export) options does it allow? -
How to save a document and allow others to sign too
Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I've spent a good 12 hours playing with different methods and techniques over the past week and still am trying to get this little bugger sorted out.
I'm working on some real estate contracts and need to be able to not only sign them, but once the document is signed, continue adding text to the document and allow another to sign it as well, even if that sounds weird to add content after it's signed.
(I basically am trying to save time by having some presigned contracts that I fill out as needed so I don't have to go through the signing process every time.)
How can I save a PDF and then continue to add more content later, as well as add more signatures as needed?
I'm using Acrobat Reader XI for Mac if it makes a difference.

I am happy to look into this for you! According to your printer's specifications, it states: NOTE: Integrated OCR software is available only with Officejet 5740 and 8040 models. Which means, this software is not included with this printer. You might be able to perform this operation, if you are able to get third-party OCR software. Such as: ReadIris. Adobe's instructions for Acrobat X Pro say that to print the document with connector lines on the same page, I should go from the menu to "Print With Comments Summary." I'm using version 10.1.7 and that option doesn't show up. My menu bar looks like this:

And if I go to Commenting under Preferences I get this:
I don't see any of the comment printing options Adobe refers to in their instructions. Am I looking in the wrong place for the option to print comments on the same page as the document? Or is there some reason this is not available?Hey Dan,

You're trying to write to the PFI lines, which are part of port 1. Only the 8 lines on port 0 "Dev1/port0" support clocked/correlated DIO, port 1 only supports static/SW timed DIO (which is what you are using) and counter timer opperations. To do buffered output, check out the Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk shipping example at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Digital\Generate Values\Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk
when you use this, you'll need to specify an external clock - M-Series DIO does not have its own timing engine so it has to get its clock signal from somewhere else. Most just use an onboard counter to generate a clocking signal, so the Dig-Pulse Train Cont example under counters can be combined with this.
Most of this is covered in the M-Series user manual, though I realize its not exactly lite reading

I'm having some trouble trying to create a code where I have to to create a file and store its contents into another file?
I read the API, but I'm not certain how this file thing works.

Go to SE16 / BKPF, give the accounting document number reference in "Document number" and execute, so that you will get the respective billing document number. Make a note of it.
Now go to again SE16 and give table VBFA and give all the billing document references in "Follow-on doc" and maintain "C" in "Prec.doc.categ." and execute.
Alternatively, you can try with table joining BKPF and VBFA in SQVI.
