How to resize PanelBoxes in PanelDashboard like on Oracle Support ?

Hi,
On https://support.oracle.com , once the user log on, he can resize "Service Requests" and "Knowledge Articles" by holding the small triange at the bottom right of the panel boxes. This triangle allows to change the height at runtime for a specific row of the dashboard. I did not found any documentation on this feature.
In the following forum post, it is said that this feature is impossible. It was more than 3 years ago. Did it changed ? How to do this features on release 11.1.2.3.0 ?
Can PanelBox within af:dashboard have difference sizes?

Hi,
what you see is not a PanelDashboard but a WebCenter panelCustomizable component. The label "Dashboard" in this case doesn't mean they use the dashboard component

Where's The WCI Knowledge On My Oracle Support?
Have you been frustrated by how difficult it is to navigate the My Oracle Support "Product Tree" when searching for WebCenter Interaction knowledge articles?
Do you find yourself confused by the number of articles returned from your keyword searches for knowledge that have absolutely nothing to do with WCI Products?
Is there really any knowledge base for WCI products at all?
The answer is yes! In fact it's very healthy and getting healthier every day.
Across the breadth of the the WCI Products (Portal, Collab, Publisher, Analytics...etc.) there are hundreds of current and updated knowledge articles available on MOS.
New knowledge is created from almost every support case where the issue was not otherwise solved by existing knowledge or documentation.

How to resize a jpg/gif file to a fix size using jimi ?

I have search from the web and didn't find any example on doing this.
Can any one give example on how to resize a jpg image. let say 120x240
to a fixed size 40x40 ?

When you got that image in form of a file, just load it and invoke the image's getScaledInstance(...)-method.
Here's how it could work:

Dynamic number of panelBoxes in panelDashboard

Hi,
I got a scenario where I need to display a set of images in a particular order as like a chain.When the chain length is more than 5 it can display them in next rows but only in the chain order, and also the number of images is decided at runtime.
So I thought using of using the panelDashboard with panelBoxes inside it, Which can be arranged at run time using the panelDashboard's columns:5 . But I am not able to use the af:forEach inside the panelDashboard. This stops me from doing dynamic creation of the panelBoxes.
So anyone please provide me a way to do it.... or an better way to meet the requirements

How to resize my monitor resolution in OS X 10.5.8

Hello I have a question I am new to mac and I was trying to resize my desktop resolution. I'm using a 720i TV utilizing the HDMI and using the convertor to make it DVI and for some reason when I use the 720 resolution its all off center and it won't let me resize it like it does in Windows but it works when i have it at 1280 x 960 problem is I don't want that resolution it doesn't look as good on my TV. I have tried everything and can't find any software that will allow me to do this. And I use the same monitor for my Windows machine and it works perfect PLEASE HELP

How to resize all pages -Acrobat 9 Pro Extended ? ?

I came across a pre-existing pdf file of an old book of genealogy. According to the front pages, it was 'Digitized by Microsoft', so I know nothing on how it was generated. Total pages are in excess of 1,100.
In viewing the pages, they are reflected as 2 pages to a view; not the book opened with the spine in the middle, but images side by side ... in numerical order ... and they appear as a normal sized 2 page for that view. When I print out a page, by number, it also prints out in a normal size on an 8x11 inch sheet of paper.
However, rather than print page by page on individual sheets of paper, I want to print out multiple pages, 2 to a sheet of paper. In doing this, the images of the pages come up as 3x5 inch; thus not readable if printed without the usage of magnifier.
Not that familiar with the program, but tried to do a resize process by setting some adjustments and then to a new pdf file. It did not change that much ... and increased the file size dramatically.
I am a novice to these processes. Can someone advise how to resize the whole file, with images of pages side by side, so that when multiple print is used for 2 pages the size comes up closer to something like 5x7 inch each?

Let me try it this way.....
1. The pdf file, when initially opened up, in the opening view shows 2 simotaneous pages side by side ... with hardly a divider between them. This at this point has nothing to do with the print mode.
2. The book in question was 'Digitized by Microsoft' ... don't know if that makes any difference, but thought it would help to under stand that it was not created by the normal Adobe Acrobat method.
3. Now, when I go to the Print mode, from where I just viewed the 2-side-by-side pages, the initial view there, for 'page', is just 1 page ... not the 2 page view I just came from ... and it will print out this view in a full sheet version.
4. But, not wanting to print out 1130 pages, want to print multi-page as allowed under Acrobat options.
5. So choose multi-page and 2 pages and "Print to printable area"..
6. When this option appears in the print viewing window, the 'images' (presuming that to be the correct reference) are small, over the normal (roughly) 5 x 7 inch (each) for a 2-page print option.
7. With the 2-page print option, the images are only 3.5 x 5.25 inches ... rather than something like 5 x 7 inch ... which is difficult to read without a magnifier. [Note: This 3.5 x 5.25 is as indicated in Properties that the original 'Digitizing' did.
8. So, in essence, how can one change the default individual image size from 3.5 x 5.25 inch size, to something closer to 5 x 7 inch size ... so that each image fills in more of it's half of the 8.5 x 11 inch page being printed ... rather than the small size reflected in the attached jpg ?
I've attached a jpg of the print screen, and one of the 2 page side-by-side 'default' view in Acrobat.

How to resize multiple images?

I am newbie to RH and would like to know if there is a method /shortcut by which I can resize multiple images?
Specifically to my project: I have close to 50 tables containing various images and their descriptions. When I insert these images into RH, the original image size is inserted and these images are of various sizes.
I know how to resize multiple images in Word but not in RH and hence, reaching to higher powers
I am using RH 9

Sorry for the difficulties. In case it's not too late, here are some steps for accessing our online Editor's image resize tool:
1. If you are already a member of Photoshop.com, sign in your account. You can access you account at either www.photoshop.com or http://www.photoshop.com/tools/organizer
2. If you are a member, and have not already uploaded your photo to you online account, please do so. Look for the 'Upload' button at the top right of the Photoshop Express Online Organizer (http://www.photoshop.com/tools/organizer). Select your image, and click the Edit button at the bottom of the Window.
If you are not a member, you can still access our online Editor at this URL: http://www.photoshop.com/tools?wf=editor Just go to this page and upload your photo to begin editing it.
3. Once you have your image open in the Online Editor, find the 'Resize' button on the left next to our other editing tools. Then choose the resize settings you like and click 'Save' when you're done.

How to resize a label automatically?

I have a form and a label in it. That label should resize itself to fit the text in it. And after this resizing my code resize the form so that label fits in the form. The problem is, I dont know how to resize the label. (I dont mean label.setSize())
I can try it with taking length of the text inside and calculate the length. But some characters are bigger than others. (for example: I and M) So there can be mistakes. Is label supporting such a thing?

I don't know what you are talking about. As far as I can tell, the default behaviour for a JLabel is to resize itself to fit the text inside it. That's certainly how mine behave. So if yours don't do that then remove some code until they do.
The exception is if they don't have enough room to expand because they're taking up the whole width of the panel they are in. You asked how to resize the form so that there will be room? I don't think that's a good idea. Windows that change their size are an annoying UI feature, which is why you rarely see them. And what happens when your form resizes itself to be three times as wide as your screen?
However you might consider in future posting Swing questions in the Swing forum so you don't have to take advice from mediocre Swing programmers like me.

How to resize window smoothly?

I need to screen record a resizing a window but need it to happen in a very smooth manner. I'd could manually drag the window but it won't be completely smooth or fluid. I thought to use Automator but I don't see anything under resize.
I'd like to set starting and ending points. If it could pause in the middle that would be great.

          set bounds of window "Downloads" of application "Finder" to {tFrame, lFrame, rFrame, bFrame}
          delay 0.05
end repeat
In this script, change the "- 2" value to adjust the amount the window will change at each loop. The repetition count of 20 can be changed to also adjust the amount the window will change. Both of these will set the extent of the window change, and then you can adjust the delay value (in seconds) to change the rate once the other two values have been set.
It will take some experimenting to figure

iOS 7 uses a parallax effect to create the perception of depth on your Home screen and elsewhere. When this feature is on, you may notice that your:
Wallpaper, icons, and alerts shift slightly as you move your phone.
When setting a wallpaper in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness, the photo or image will be slightly zoomed and cannot be scaled to fit to the screen.
You can change this behavior by enabling Settings > General >Accessibility > Reduce Motion.
Note: If zoomed, you will need to rescale your wallpaper to fit to the screen.
