How to resize the web page, accidently minimised the webpage, unable to resize it.

while surfing using my laptop, i have re sized the appearance(font size) of my gmail and facebook pages. Other web pages are ok. I'm now unable to re size it back and unable to use the site as the font size is too small and not readable.
Appreciate any suggestion.

Try to reset the zoom level.
View menu > Zoom > Reset
If you have the orange Firefox button, tap the Alt key to display the classic menu bar to get to the View menu.
Any luck?

how to prevent duplicate web pages from loading

<s>Hi berternie, can you describe this in more detail?
Are you saying the identical page loads in two different tabs? When does that happen -- when you click a link? or when you use a bookmark?
Or do you have multiple tabs open every time you see your home page (i.e., when you start up, open a new window, or click the home icon)?</s>
I see, you have more info in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/930219

  • How tall is a web page?

So we're doing pages 900+ pixels wide these days, but I'm wondering how much vertical content we can use before the user has to start scrolling - what he/she first sees when the page loads. Is there a rule of thumb (or mouse finger) for this?

It's true that you need to make an educated guess about the people who will be viewing the site.
For instance, if you know for a (relative) fact that they all use 12 inch monitors and IE6, that gives you an idea of what to shoot for.
If you have a sense that they all have wraparound monitors (surely someone will invent them) that are 36 inches on the diagonal and the latest, greatest Browsers, that tells you something else.
You can get general statistics about Monitor usage from w3c http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp Allowing for a vertical scrollbar and top of the Monitor screen material (toolbars, etc.), you can kind of guess at the actual Viewport sizes.
If you want to keep people on your page, and not scrolling to kingdom come (how tall is a web page? how high is the sky?), there are strategies:
Make the header stable and the container below it scrollable within a container so it looks like it's all on the screen...
    Make the page short
Make the page liquid, so it doesn't hang off the page on small monitors or cower in the corner of larger monitors
Use Spry Tabbed Panels, or Spry Accordions, or other Spry content techniques
You can imitate Browser/Monitor Viewport sizes by doing Window > Cascade and adjusting the size of the floating window manually (drag the right bottom corner). The size of the Viewport will show at the right side of the Tag Selector at the bottom of the Document Window (1038 x 628, for instance).

  • How can I prevent web pages from automatically reloading, such as The Druge Report, etc.

Several web sites I frequent automatically reload their front page whenever they want to...not when I manually refresh...interrupting streaming videos, etc. I do not want these pages to do this, only I want the ability to manually refresh a web page.

Yes, many sites need JavaScript to be enabled to work properly.<br /><br />
This site will most likely not work and in the Knowledge Base you see the content for all Firefox versions and platforms.<br />
So you shouldn't disable JavaScript globally, but you can do that selectively on a specific tab or based on websites.
    *Content Preferences: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/4066
You can block and allow scripts selectively for websites with an extension like NoScript or YesScript.
    *NoScript: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/noscript/
    *YesScript: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yesscript/

  • How to include non web pages to the "Create PDF from Web Page" feature?

In Acrobat Pro (v. 10), when I use the "Create PDF from Web Page" feature, it works great for html pages, but it skips non-html links (doc, pdf, ppt, xls, etc). I need Acrobat Pro to convert those files and put them in the order as well. I don't see an option for this in settings. Is there ANY way I can do this? This is for an archiving purpose and I have 10,000 plus files to convert. Please help.

This is a question i'm trying to answer too. My issue is that I have a PDF file which itself contains links to both DOC and PDF files. The end result is that I need one consolidated PDF containing all the linked files (in order).
I can run the "create from web page" on this PDF file, and it'll download them, but not convert them. It just adds them as "jumbled" text to the end of the document. I need it to download, convert, and then append them.
So, as isunshine3 asked above, any way to have Adobe convert the files that it finds linked when running the "create from web page"?
    THanks
    Matt

  • Urgent help needed -- how to submit a web page from a PL/SQL api

    Hi,
Could anyone tell me how to submit a remote web page through pl/sql
    Thanks,
    Rachna

I am not sure what you mean by this question.
You can submit from PL/SQL to an external webpage/website using the UTL_HTTP package.
You can submit from an external webpage to a PL/SQL package if that package is invoked by you webserver. The most direct way is using the MOD_PLSQL module for Apache that Oracle ships as HttpServer and that is the foundation for Oracle Portal and HTML DB. Alternatively your webpage can submit to a JSP that invokes your PLSQL package through JDBC.

I don't believe that there is anything in the iPad User Guide about saving Web pages as Web archives which is what the original poster asked.
With the current iPad Safari there is no way of saving web pages. Images on web pages can be saved and, of course, web pages can be bookmarked.
To save web pages you can use another app like Goodreader. A URL in Safari can be transferred to Goodreader for downloading (add "g" before http).

  • How i upload a web page named index.html generated by NI Web UI Builder in thin client application on world wide Web

    Hello All,
I have an example which use simulated signal with its web service generated by LabVIEW. Then an application of this web service was created using NI web UI builder. And application was build and deployed on NI Cloud Portal, a zip file was downloaded of that project  after build and deploying application.
The downloaded file contain a thin client application like :index.html page, readme file etc.
Now problems is this index.html runs easily on http://localhost:8080/appname/index.html or on my computer name like
http://iaa42:8080/appname/index.html web page runs and shows updated values in indicators and graphs  but when i use ip address of my system like http://192.168.1.6:8080/appname/index.html , index.html runs but the values in indicator and graphs remains 0 (zero) constantly.     how can i get all indicators and graphs updating continously on by using my ip address like same when i use localhost or computer name in url bar.    1st problem is this.
    Now 2nd question.
I get a page index.html in a zip file built by NI web UI builder now i want this page to be viewed by every one world wide
where should i upload that code. Should NI Cloud Portal be my hosting server for that web page ? or i have to purchase a domain other than NI cloud portal?
     Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Waqas

    Hi Waqas,
For your first question, my first thoughts turn to your router (which I assume you are using with a 192.168.x.x address). Are you sure you are configuring your ports and firewalls to allow NI services to function? Here is a really good resource on how to check if your ports and firewalls are configured properly:
    http://www.ni.com/white-paper/12402/en/
For your second question, when you deploy a web service you are hosting it on your local machine. If you wanted to host it elsewhere (i.e. another server or another domain) you would have to be sure that the server hosting your application has the LabVIEW run-time engine installed.

  • How to include other web page in servlet response?

Is there any way how to include the contents from some other web page in my own response? For example, I wish to printout some text and below that to put the complete contents of let's say Google's page, so something like:
    include("www.google.com");
...So far I found that I can either redirect to that page and l fully lose the control or include the contents of the other jsp or servlet that I made in the same project. I know I can just send the request to that outside page and read the response and print it out on my page, but the problem is when there is a JavaScript and I can't get the rendered contents but just that script. Also, I will not be able to see the images in that case, so I prefer to give the command to web browser to render and show it for me.
Thanks a lot for any help!

I already tried with streams but then just original source is written, so it means that if it is calling some scripts I will get JavaScript code instead of executed result. I thought I must somehow make the browser to process the page and just display the output because it knows how to deal with scripts.

  • How to programmatically manipulate web pages, page elements, and dialogs?

Hi, I am trying to write a simple program that will:
    1. Access a downloadable resource on a web page
    2. Respond to a dialog box by:
    a. Filling in a filename to save the resource to
    b. Selecting the "Next" (or "Save" or "Finish" or whatever it's called) button to save the file
    3. Return to 1 to get another resource
As it turns out, I can form the URL that immediately accesses the resource, so I don't have to surf through web pages. I can just immediately enter the URL I want. So therefore, I have two questions:
    1. Given a URL, how do I programmatically (from a Windows Vista environment and a regular DSL connection) access a web page?
    2. Once I've accessed the URL and a dialog pops up, how do I programmatically enter a filename and hit "Save"?
Obviously, I'm no ace programmer. I have spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to do this and looking for answers, but Googling "java http" doesn't give me a narrow set of responses :) so I thought I'd ask here. I welcome someone taking me by the hand and showing me exactly how to do this, but if you can just point me to some resources that don't require twelve hours of research to find what I want, that would be great, too.

When accessing a file online, there will not always be a dialog box. This box is created by your web browser in response to a URL that points directly to a file, that the browser can't display. So my point is you can skip this step, and decide what you want to do in your program's code rather than being asked in a dialog box.
For accessing files online, check out URLConnection .

  • Using Java 5, how to develop customizable web-pages  like iGoogle ?

Is it possible to develop customizable web-pages like iGoogle does, using Java 5 ( simply using JSPs, servlets, JSFs, AJAX etc. and without using portals) ?
A simple example explaining how to provide 3-4 header graphics options ( like igoogle does) will be helpful. (iGoogle seems to create a cookie, which appears to be used to render the selected header-graphics).
    TIA
    Edited by: DevelopingJava2005 on Jul 7, 2008 9:36 AM

    Without using portals?
Google uses RSS feeds to compile their mashups on iGoogle. The positioning of those boxes are managed with AJAX and upon placement are saved into a session so they stay there for each visit after.
Please be a little more clear as to what you are looking for. Yes, it is possible to develop web pages using the technologies you specified to simulate something like iGoogle, so give us some more details on what exactly you're looking for.
    Code wouldn't hurt either.
