How to rest ATT Data Plan?

I bought a 3G iPad from eBay and today I went to setup the ATT Cellular Data plan.
When it logs into ATT to setup, it has the old owners email address listed and no password. There is no reset to clear this info out and setup a new plan.
I'm on the phone with ATT but they have no clue, anyone know how to setup a new user?
The only thing I can think of is to get a new Micro SIM from ATT.

2 things i would do:
a) new sim card (same as you would with a 2nd hand phone)
b) restore ipad to clear ALL old data out

I am very new to having a smart phone, so i have lots of questions. I linked my phone to me email account and it displays them on my phone. If I just browse the list of emails without opening any of them, I am curious about how much of my data plan (1G) I am going to use. I know I will use more if I open them, but if it uses a lot of data to merely have them displayed, I will disable it.

There are some options in your email client which would obviously affect how much data is used. That and the amount/type of emails you receive.
Do you have your email client set to automatically download attachments? This would increase data, especially if you receive a lot of email with attachments.
It would also depend if you have your client set to download the email when it is received, not when opened.

How do I cancel data plan if I no longer have iPad?

I brought my iPad2 into the Apple store because it wasn't charging or even recognizing any charger. I could no longer power it on. They decided to give me a replacement. I never wrote down the phone number associated with the data plan from my original iPad and now I have no way of accessing that account. I called Verizon, but without the phone number, they were unable to help me. Will that account somehow be automatically deactivated with the old iPad, or is there anyway I can get into that account to cancel it?

I can understand how this can be a troubling situation. The best way to get your information would be to review the original paper work that you received when you bought the iPad. If that information is not available I would suggest visiting the closest Verizon Wireless store near you. Make sure that you bring proper photo identification and they will be able to verify and assist you. I am certain that this will resolve your issue.

How to get a Data Plan for a Macbook

I have a 2008 white Macbook, and am looking to get a data plan to connect to the internet while in a rural area that has excellent cell-phone reception. I see that companies like Verizon and AT&T have data plans, but I can't figure out what I need to actually have and do to make those plans work on my Macbook.
Do I need a special card or any other additional hardware?
What is a good data plan that has no annual contract?
How do I actually go about signing up for it (the wireless companies' websites are confusing)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm with Verizon and they have USB devices that work very well for what you want to do. I admit that the website is not to good for finding information but if you can go into a Verizon Store, they will be able to get you fixed up on a data plan which usually includes a free USB device. I suggest Verizon as a carrier because AT&T's rural coverage is not to good.

How to view iPad data plan usage history?

Is there a way to view AT&T's Data Plan usage by month?
All that I can find is what is available on the iPad Settings in Cellular plan. I don't find a web site login or any other way to see what I've used each month.

Once your SIM card is installed, then I believe you can do it right within the settings on the iPad.
Open Settings->Cellular Data, there you can select an option for transferring your plan from other ipad by entering your account info,
I'm sure ATT's website has the info on it as well.

Xfinity is a cable provider that offers Internet and voice as well. If you don't have a 3G or 4G iPad, you don't have a data plan at all. Is your iPad a 3G or 4G iPad or WiFi only?
If its Wifi only, the only reason that you would need a data plan is if you have a mobile hotspot like a MIFI device. AT&T data plan on the iPad would have nothing at all to do with having AT&T service for your home.

"Corporate Accounts" in iOS7 is eating the Data Plan

installing the MDM Profiles, will enable a new Entry in "Celluar" --> "System Services" , called "Corporate Accounts". This Service will eaten the Data Plan of some of my Co-Workers. 1 Hour = 4 MB. Did anybody know, what Data is synced there between the iPhone and the MDM System? and how to prevent the Data Plan loss?

Data Plan for Business users

My phone, a motorola is currently under a business and we have unlimited family text that runs me $30. My question is how much is the data plans for business users? Also, will I be able to get the cheapest data business plan, say $45 for 200 sms, unlmtd voicmail, email, internet and keep my unlimited family text? I ask because I am a heavy texter. Hope someone can help!

You will need to get the Data Plan with 200 texts, but the unlimited family texts for $30 will override the 200 texts leaving only the Data.

Upgrade to IOS 5 is causing my Iphone 3gs to go over my AT&T data plan

Ever since I upgraded my Iphone 3gs to IOS 5, I have been going over my 200mb data plan with AT&T. I never had a problem with going over my data plan before this update. I looked up my invoice and noticed that when I downloaded the IOS software, I was being charged for it while I was on Wi fi at home. I called AT&T and they removed the $15 data overage charge but I still am going over my data plan and I don't even use my phone. I read on the apple bulletin boards that there might be a virus in the Icloud software, so I deleted the Icloud. I have turned off all push notifications and now I have turned off the cellular data, which makes no sense to do but it has helped. I downloaded the Dataman app to monitor my data constantly. I contacted AT&T and they told me to contact Apple about this problem. Are there any other suggestions? I already updated to the IOS 5.01 and that still did not help. I don't want to upgrade my ATT data plan and pay more money since I already shelled out an extra $15 this month for the overrage.

Disable firewall on your computer.
If you have iOS 5.0 or later, update directly from the phone by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

Why was I never offered Verizon Max 6gb (w/o edge) when I upgraded my phone from my unlimited data plan?

I upgraded my phone with a new 2yr activation in Jan 2014. I was not offered the 6gb plan without "going edge" that many unlimited data plan customers got when they switched over. I too had unlimited data and was grandfathered. Is this because that promotion wasn't active yet? I talked to my coworker who said she got hers upgraded from unlimited in september 2014 and was offered 6gigs for 30 bucks, and she's not on the edge plan. She upgraded at Target. I wonder if that makes a difference. I am currently paying for 2 gigs at 30 bucks a month.

How do i get a UD data plan?

How do I get a US data plan?? I have an AT&T sim card but am unable to purchase a plan on my iPad as I do not have a US address or US credit card!

That would be a question for AT&T. I would start at www.att.com and work through there for contact info to find a phone number and see what they suggest. Or if you have an AT&T account already, contact them and see what they can do to set up a US data plan.
