How to restart qmn process

Hello,
I know that qmn process start itself if it dead. but some how if it don't start then there is anyway that i can ran any command to try to start.

First, you could be talking about qmn, qmon or perhaps the qmno process. The qmn0 process is the one associated with streams and advanced queueing.
Second, this is a volunteer board. Perhaps no one has information.
Third, providing such information as Oracle version and Operating System is useful and polite. Without that information,much that we could provide might be totally irrelevant.
Fourth, you could describe what checks and effort you have made, such as searching through the documentation. For example, using the 'search' capabilities in Oracle10g documentation (starting with http://docs.oracle.com) displays such info as
"Prior to Oracle Database 10g, Oracle Streams AQ time manager processes were controlled by init.ora parameter AQ_TM_PROCESSES, which had to be set to nonzero to perform time monito..."
So, perhaps you could rephrase your question into something that could be meaningful for the volunteers to try to help you.

You can perform this even in PRD, but it is not at all recommended ... ideally, such messages should be sent from the source.

How to Restart a Process

I have client with a server running Panther 10.3.9 being backed up by Backup Exec. From time to time the two processes for Backup Exec need to be restarted.
Is there a way to restart the two processes without restarting the whole system?

/System/Library/StartupItems/BackupExecAgent/BackupExecAgent start <enter>
or
sudo ./private/etc/bkupexec/agent.be & <enter>

When i plug in my ipod touch to charge it starts with the battery with the little bolt under it then it goes to the apple logo screen and after a while it flashes white and just shuts off and restarts the process. Whats wrong and how do i fix it?

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Outbound process red flag - how to restart?!

Hi, well i tried in a previous post to get help but i guess it was a little misunderstanding.
I have a well processed message but it's not being send to target system, so i get a red flag on column outbound status in SXI_MONI. It's like a system is not available but in this case it is.
It is File to IDoc Scenario and be sure that i already checked SM59, SX1, SX2 and so on.
Funny thing is that sometimes message is send properly - when CC read one file - but when it has to read >1 outbound status will be set to error for each message!
has somebody any clue on this issue?!

it's a FILE2IDoc Scenario i am getting no error at all except of the red flag for outbound process. In detal-view of the message nothing is reported an even the CC-Monitoring is showing nothing because IDoc-Adapter is not part of the Adapter-Engine.
That's the problem! Because a target systems is connected via VPN to the gateway of the XI. And when the VPN is not active, the message is not being transmitted. But in XI i connat restart it when VPN-Tunnel is active again.
Any clue on how to restart?!

we have one option in MONI Restart. this is not working for Successfully processed messages.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO STOP THE PROCESS CHAIN WHICH IS RUNNING DAILY AT 5.00 PM. I NEED TO STOP THE PROCESS CHAIN FOR COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEN RESTART IT AGAIN.

Hi,
First and foremost let me advice you to be very careful while doing this.
For Rescheduling
RSPC> chain > Goto > Planning view and
click on Execution tab > select > Remove from Schedule and then in Maintain variant of start process reschedule for the day you require it to run.
For terminating active chain
You can start from SM37, find the process WID/PID then go to SM50 or SM51 and kill it. Once its done come back to RSMO and check the request, it should be red but again manually force to red and save by clicking on the total status button in the status tab. This shuld ensure that the process is killed properly.
The next step will be to go to targets that you were loading and remove the red requests from those targets.
Note: For source system loads you may have to check if the request is running in the source system and kill if needed and pull it again.
But for BW datamart delta loads u may have reset the datamarts in case u are going to pull the delta again.

How to restart after table space error

Hi,
While loading a big file ( 360 MB) with the File -> XI-<ABAP prodxy from source, we got the table space error in middle of load. Due to Content conversion split for 20K we normally get many messages per load.
In this case after basis increased the disk space, how do i restart the process so that it start from where it is left. I checked Moni and there is no Que. I checked RWB for adapter also and there is no message with error. I also checked integration and all possible places..
The Alert that came in for failure has a message ID. I checked and found that message ID has been processed successfully. Still the count of records at the source does not match with target and lot of records are missing.
Is there any way to re run the process from where it was left.

- RWB->Message monitoring->Adapter engine (not integration server)
-Check for follwing status:
"Holding", "Waiting" "To be delivering" "Error" your message should be here any of above status.
Note: in RWB message monitoring select "Adapter engine"

How to run a process flow in recovery mode

Hi,
I have 10 Mappings in a Process Flow. While executing that process flow, All of sudden It got errored out at 5th mapping.
Please explain me how to run the process flow again from the 5th mapping( which got errored out in the previos run)....i.e I do not want to run the first 4 mappings in that process flow again, I want to run only the remaining mappings in the process flow.
Please let me know in case you need more information / explaination.

Restart a process or message in SXMB_MONI with status "Cancelled Manually"

SDN Crew,
This is query regarding the BPM process.
I have cancelled a process in MONI manually, Now i want to restart the process...
If i try to restart the process, it throws an error "only messages with error could be restarted and messages already processed or cancelled could not be resatarted".
How to solve the issue?
and also i want to restart the process because though i set the Poll interval in the Send Comm Channel as 60 sec, it processed only one message and that to in error(which i cancelled manually) no furthur processing is done i mean if u check for processed messages only one message is shown but it has to show similar error messages for every 60 sec?
i am new to BPM so could someone tell lme if i am doin gsomewhere wrong?

How to restart WorkItem if the status is completed

Hello,
Due to my mistake in PRD not in DEV i changed the WI status from started to completed.
Now i have 110 WI affected and i dont know how to restart them, or make them finish normaly the right path.
In the LOG i can see: Execution was ignored (work item has final status)

Resetting the status of a completed workitem? I think it is not possible , because you can reset the status of a workitem which is in in process state to ready state or the workitem which is in error state( May be not sure) but the status of completed workitem , not possible, because the workitem will not be in any of the users inbox.
But will let you know , if there is any possiblity
Check this error when I tried to reset the status of workitem which is completed by using the FM
SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_STATUS

Hi all !
For system stability Do we need to restart admin server evertime we restart slapd process ?

Recently i had some core dump file on my /var/core directory which is actually filling out the filesystem.
When i send core dump file to sun support they told there is a bug in Directory server BUG ID 4992815.
But to fix the core dump every time need to restart slapd process i need to restart the admin server.
It seems strange to me ...but if its how i can fix the dump then i need to follow thier instruction...
Just curious whether other people also following the same ...
