How to restore a deleted default email map (Archives) in icloud?

Hi electropleb. I have had the same problem. I for one would be very interested if someone could find a solution. I have four different accounts setup in Mail where the usage of each one is very context sensitive.
It used to be really simple in Snow Leopard (I had it enabled), but in Lion it seems that a new email will be sent from whichever mailbox you are browsing at the time.

Adobe Reader for iOS doesn't set the default email address when you email a PDF.
It's found in the Settings app:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Mail > Default Account

You DID move them to trash? (we can discuss WHY once we cure you)...
Can you open a window in finder and get to applications and then to utilities? Is MAIL in there?
And your "office email account"-- do you mean physical office, like place of work and you want that account in your mac mail on your computer? ~OR~ do you mean, microsoft office,mail account?
The difference is necessary to know...

The Apple mail app keeps open when I hit various links and I am trying to get yahoo as my default email. I've checked the preferences for Snow Leopard, Chrome (my browser) and the Mail App program, itself. Mail gives me the option of selecting another physical program, but I want to use a web-based email as my default. How is this done? Thanks

When a web browser opens a 'mailto' link, it starts whatever the default mail application is (the same behavior is consistent with all web browsers and operating systems; the HTML specification specifies this behavior). If you want to use a browser-based e-mail service, like Yahoo!, you cannot setup your browser as the default e-mail client (because, it's a browser and not an e-mail client; think of the e-mail client being on another machine that's operated by Yahoo!). This is the same on OS X, Windows, and Linux.
What you can do, however, is to setup Apple's Mail to use Yahoo! Mail: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html
Note that Yahoo now charges for this service (Yahoo! Mail Plus, $19.00/year). Google offers the same service for free.

Go to your home folder -> Library -> Preferences. Locate the file com.apple.Finder.plist and trash it. Then control-option-click Finder's Dock icon and select Relaunch. All Finder settings will now be back to the OS X defaults.

TS3276 . How to set a default email client

I can't find a way to establish a default email client (I have 4) for Mail just upgraded to Mountain Lion. All help appreciated.

It seems that you have to set up Mail first, though!
I'm using Thunderbird and would like to make it the default mail program, but it seems that I have to go through the entire process of setting up an account. And, if I recall, sometimes mail programs will automatically download your messages-- which I wouldn't want Mail to do.
So, gurus, what's the way around this?

I have 5 iMacs & we use yahoo email because we can us it on all machines without clogging up my server with duplicate emails on each machine. I want to change the default to yahoo so we can put different photos on different machines. The iPhoto default preferences don't support yahoo. How do I change it, if possible??

iPhoto only supports Email clients such as Mail.app, Entourage, Eudora.
If you have paid Yahoo accounts you can set up your Mail client to receive and send email with Yahoo accounts.
What do you mean by putting different photos on different machines?

How to restore the default web configuration in Lion

Hi guys so I was messing around with apache/php/mysql, and after trying to enable openssl I think i made a mistake because when I try to enable web sharing by checking off the checkbox under system preferences it just turns back off right away. If i go to 127.0.0.1 it doesn't work and neither does the localhost. I could try going through the httpd.conf files to fix it if someone could help me with that but I'd rather just try starting over, so i was wondering if there's a command to restore the web configuration back to factory settings. I know there's one for lion server which is $ sudo serveradmin command web:command=restoreFactorySettings Is there anything similar i could do in Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4??

The format of the variable on the screen needs to be the same as the global definition - if it's a date field on the screen then you should have something like
data:
g_date like sy-datum. "naming convention g = global
and g_date on your screen as a date-type field, then in your PAI where you store ZFIR
ZFIR-DATES = g_date.

New iPhone 5, 3 weeks. Set up email (hotmail) no problems all functions OK. Today attempts to send email result in error message Cannot Send Mail An error occurred while delivering this message. I can send from the account OK from ipad or PC and I can receive email on the iPhone. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know how to restore the default Surround Mixer Environments (such as Cathedral, Ballroom, etc.), Advanced EQ, and Special Effects without doing a reinstall of all the Creative software?
Some unknown application on my system is somehow "deleting" those default items and none of them appear in the Surround Mixer. The Surround Mixer itself works, only the default EAX items are missing.
If I knew what files/links that information was being stored in I could make sure my backup includes those items. Having to go back and reinstall from the CD and then applying all the updates is getting to be a real nuisance, especially since I haven't determined yet what is causing the problem.

I had a similar problem with XP Home/Audigy Platinum Ext - some inputs on the Li've Dri've not showing up in Sonar 4, Li've Dri've MIDI ports not working at all. I had to reinstall the card from scratch three times before it all got back to normal (because I did not fully unistall the drivers !) Sorry, I don't know the cause of this problem, but in my case reinstallation cured it.

Hi,
I'm wondering how to change the default keyboard mapping. I'm not asking about the input source setting in the keyboard setting pannel, I'm wondering how to change the default mapping used when you need to enter your session password after a cold boot for example. Because changing the input source in the keyboard setting doesn't change the default keyboard mapping in case of this example.
I think this information is stored in hardware in the keyboard, but I would like to be sure of that before swapping my French keyboard by a UK one.

Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts Make the changes you want to the shortcuts and save with a new name. In the dropdown at the top choose your new set and close. Quit and restart to seal the deal.

If you are on iOS 5 as your tagline suggests and it's an IMAP type account then you should get an Edit button at the top of the list of folders that you currently have on your email account. If it's a POP type account then you won't get the Edit button.
