How to restore a single deleted app (Preview)?

Hello
I accidentally deleted Preview and somehow managed to over-write it in the trash with another file named 'Preview'. Don't ask me how, I'm embarassed even to write this
anyway, now I need to restore Preview to my MacBook and cannot figure out how to do it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Get a program called Pacifist (versiontrqacker.com). Then, go to the install disk, System/Installs (I think that's the path) and find the one that installs Preview. It's easy, really.

Okay, so I messed up and deleted Brain Challenge from iTunes (long story about weird syncing). Anyway, I later synced and it's now disappeared from my iPhone. Obviously I've paid for this app and want it back. How do I get it back? I surely don't have to pay £5.99 again? Would a Restore put the app back in place?

Thanks all. I ended up trying a Restore, on the basis that this was the only possible shot at getting back my lost progress file for Brain Challenge. Well, the Restore went smoothly but it did not restore the Brain Challenge app, or the progress.
However, I have since gone through with the 'repurchase' on Brain Challenege and iTunes did spot that I'd already paid for it and therefore let me download it again. Even so, I think the dialog box iTunes throws up before that "this is free" dialog is very, very confusing -- it made me believe I was going to be charged again. And that's just stupid.
Gotta say, from this experience I think the whole iPhone backup/restore procedure could do with some serious tightening up and an injection of clarity.

I was able to use VI server to invoke LV 6.1 VI's using LV 7.0 without issue.
After discovering this and mentioning it in a post somewhere, Rolf Kalbermatter indicated that was expected. and I should not be suprised.
So....

To the best of knowledge NO.
For each versino of LV there isw code included that runs behind the scenes when you open a VI from an earleir version which replaces old functions with the new versions. This is called Mutation code. To accomplish its task it has to know everything that changed between version X and Y. Since it is possible to baby step the versions up and the number of user that jump multiple major versions is small, I don't think any effort will go into that work.
THe largest attachment I have managed to upload was 3 or 4 Meg.

Its been awhile since I used iPhoto, but I have done it.
If I recall correctly this is how.
In iPhoto open event that you need to restore the photo to ( the event that originally contained it )
Then open TM it should show that same event and then go back in time until you find the missing shot
Highlight the one you need to restore and tell TM to restore it.

I have opened a test server site in share point designer 2010, & deleted that particular site in SP designer 2010,can anyone let me know how to restore the site by using SharePoint Designer?
I followed below mentioned procedure to restore the site using SharePoint Designer
Open SharePoint Designer, File tab, Sites under File Tab, Open site, specified the URL of site,opened..
It is getting connected to the Organisation network & showing "path does not exist,check the path and try again".
Whether, Is it possible to restore the site deleted from share point designer in site collection recycle bin. or
Is it possible to copy the site from Production server to test server.
Waiting for an response at the earlier.

1.You could not restore site deleted from SharePoint designer in site collection, you can only restore the site deleted from
UI in site collection recycle bin, deleted from end user recycle bin.
2.You can export the site from production server, then import it to test server.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The apps in the cloud are just history, they don't take up any space. You can't erase history but you can hide them if you wish.

i have changed from macbook to imac. don't like to use migration assistant.
however i forgot to backup the file: home directory/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plis
is there a way to get this file out of the timemachine backup (which was done on the macbook and the macbook meanwhile has been deleted). the backup itself is on an external drive. help!

See User Tips for Time Machine for help. You can also select Mac Help from the Finder's Help menu and search for "time machine." One of the articles explains how to restore files from TM backups.

How do i undelete a deleted App

Hi all, sometime ago i downloaded an App for our iPad, it didnt get used on the iPad so i deleted, i am soon getting an iPhone, this deleted App is compatible with both iPad and iPhone, i would now like to be able to use it with my iPhone (when i get it !), i go to iTunes thinking i can perhaps download it again and install it again on my iPhone, but all i get is a Label uder the App saying it is DOWNLOADED and it seems i am unable to Install it again, it was free in the first place, so i dont see why i cant delete it somehow and start afresh with it !!???

If you synced (and transferred the app to your computer), sync again and check the box for that app in the Applications tab.

Place a restriction on Installing and Deleting Apps in Settings > General > Restrictions. Don't forget the passcode you create for this.

I have tried everything I can think of and still no joy!
The camera on my ipod touch 4th gen is broken. The shutter won't open and I can't switch it from camera/video. The only button that responds is to view the camera roll.
I have tried Settings / General / Reset several times. I have also carried out a system restore via itunes twice and no luck..
