My Thinkfree office won't open bec the "java is corrupted". TFO immediately closes and "sends a message to Apple". The prompt recommends opening Software Update--which doesn't recognize that Java is corrupted.

Hi Gaoooooo,
The backup folder you are referencing is located in the storage area in which your itunes program resides. Meaning it's typically on a storage device such as a laptop or desktop computer.
You are saying that due to space limitation your backup foler is corrupted???
Your backup folder is listed in your itunes program on the stoarge device in which it was created. If you will go to the area in itunes that provides for 'preferences' clicking on preferences takes you to an area where you will see applicatoins one listed as 'devices' once clicking on devices this shows an area in which the backups are listed.
The device itself will not corrupt your backup due to storage limitations. The device sends the data to the stoarage area and it is there that the backup is created.
IF you backed up your device to an itunes program on a storage device such as a laptop or desktop the backup will still be there waiting for you to restore that backup to your device.

How To Restore corrupted Oracle 10g Database
Hello Guys,
We have Oracle 10.2.0.3 database installed on Itanium server.
1. One day we found some packages got invalid & not compiling at all with error –
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [4097], [], [], [], [], [], [], [].
2. Then we successfully restored the database from old RMAN backup of previous date that caused this error.
3. After 2 days again we found the same error in alert_prd log -
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [4097], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 19089
4. Then for testing we exported database using exp command & found 3 tables are not exporting because of data block corruption issue.
5. Then we truncated the data from all 3 tables and then able to export successfully.
6. After all this we manually run SYS.DMS_STATS job but found same error logged in prd_alert log.
This looks like, still database block corruption issue is there & we are unable to cure it 100%
This is a production system & in very critical state now.
Please looking for a help from all of you expert guys to resolve this issue.

I don't believe you have an issue that RMAN can solve. Since you have an ORA-600 I would use Oracle support.

cannot open it at .The other quick thing to try is in a new project go Project, SubProject.
In the browse dialog deselect the Link option then select your project. It might be able to read the file and copy its data into your new file.

But my Mail contents were not restored.
I have not been able to find any intructions to restore my Mail contents.Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results. -
How to restore backed up files (not lightroom catalogue) from one external drive to another.
I recently backuped my photo files from one external drive to another. The backup (carbon copy cloner) pointed to some corrupt files on the original drive.
I have deleted those files and am finding good copies of them in Time Machine backups.
I want to get rid of the original external drive; use the recent backup as my main external and then back it up onto a brand new drive.
What I am not sure about is how to point lightroom to the backups so it knows to look on the new drive instead of the old drive and all those exclamation marks and question marks go away.
There are close to 60,000 images in numerous folders all with one 'parent folder.'

Can I point to the one parent folder and all the subfolders will come back?

Thanks in advance.get a decompiler and run your class file through it--I'll assume you want the source code back and that you are not trying to recover a missing class file by attempting to use the class file that is missing--if it's missing, then I've not a clue on how to get it back by using what is already missing.
BTW: many of your compilers have source control--if it does, just restore your missing file. -

How to restore my imac from a time capsule
My iMac had its OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks fully deleted and reinstalled in the Aple Store in Haarlem Netherlands yesterday.
Seen severe corruption problems of my KeyChain log-in codes.
Everything restored from iCloud was fully OK such as Contacts, Calendar, Mail, Notes.
But I lost all my iTunes data and iPhoto data, MS Ofiice data such as Word, Excel, etc.
My iMac however was connected through WiFi to a Time Capsule but I really do not know if the Time Capsule was ever set to ON under System Preferences. Or was it simply always set to OFF on my iMac.? .......
Question 1 : How can I find out directly on my Time Capsule if a separate Volume was ever made for this iMac ? And how can I restore that volume - if I find it back - to my iMac ?.
Time Capsule Program on my restored iMac seems to be fully empty. Last date is yesterday and nothing before.
Question 2 : When I connect my iMac directly through Ethernet cable to my Time Capsule I do not know how to find and retrieve (restore) the speciic volume for my iMac.
Question 3 : how to delete the very old volumes directly on the Time Capsule which are not in use any more since years. ?
Question 4 : Any other suggetions for how to restore iPhoto and iTunes ? From iPhone, from iPod ? Let's not discuss Photostram here now.....

It tends to overwrite everything or certainly to hide it.
If the TM was not turned on, then it could not backup.

Conclusion .. do not send stuff to Apple for repair before you make a disk image backup. Never trust Time Machine to do whole computer restores.. and Mavericks is a mess. -

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

How to restore Ipod database without iTunes?

My iPod mini is visible to any aplication except iTunes. I have tried all it sugested on the manuals to fix it and nothing worked.
Others applications like RealPlayer and Anapod can see that the iPod is connect but can´t show its content. RealPlayer says that the database file doesn´t exist or is corrupted.
The only way I can see my files is accessing the iPod-Control directory using windows.
If I disconect it from the Pc I can´t see the musics that are on it.
I have made a copy of the songs that were on it and now I want to know how to restore it without use iTunes, because nothing makes iTunes see it.
Is there any update link that still work on apple website, so I don´t need to use iTunes?

The only way I can see the iPod is runing the diadnosis under the help menu. Nothing have worked to make it be showed as device.

How could i install Java on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 ?

First of all I am French so please excuse me for my English.
I tried to install Java on my MAC but unfortunately the download of the software always meets the same problem... It asks me to be under mac OS X 10.7 but my computer does not propose me update. What should i do ?

How to restore DMG image (advanced)

I made a backup of USB key, which comes with my Xtreamer Ultra, I needed that key for another purpose. Now I need to make a restore of this DMG. Problem is, I dont know why, I tried Disk Utility, after the scan of image, anyway I can not restore it.
So I tried:

It may be that you have inadvertantly wiped the Recovery Partition D when sanitising the drive, or it may have become corrupt. Either way, you best option is to reinstall the OS using recovery discs as these will also re-create the Recovery Partition on the HDD.

Importing MPEG2's causes DVD studio pro 4 to crash
everytime I attempt to import an mpeg 2 into a studio pro project it crashes the program however other files like quicktimes, AIFF etc. import fine. I have tried trashing preferences and re-installing DVD studio pro to no avail. pls help!
