Note dissapeared as I touched the screen to add another note. Back up to icloud was never done. Any chance to recover notes and why did they disappear? Thanks for any input.

1. Connect your iPad to your computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Under “Devices”, you should see your phone, right click on it.

If the iPod was being backed up through iTunes, you can restore the Notes from a previous backup.

If iCloud was setup on the iPod AND you backed up to iTunes then you would have to turn off the wifi router in your home, then do the restore, and copy the notes out. When the wifi is re connected the original notes will sync with iCloud and automatically disappear.

I have accidentally deleted some text in a note that I had in Mail (Notes).
Trying to undo didn't work, and I can't find the file to restore it back from Time Machine.
I've tried searching with spotlight but couldn't find anything.
Any ideas of where the saved note would be stored?

Don't try to restore the file; restore the Note. Go in Mail to the mailbox where the note belongs. Enter Time Machine from there and step back until you find the Note.

Thank you so much. We were in Hawaii and some one came into our rental and stole a bunch of phones and such. Very unnerving experience. it did have a data connection I guess because I got a message back in my email saying that: Tara's IPhone was locked at 6:44 PM on September 22, 2012 using your current passcode. The only thing I am worried about is I tried to wipe it and I am not sure of my passcode I put in when I set it up. Is there any way to find that info out through apple? I thought it would be 4 digit numbers so I tried a couple of combinations and they could have worked not sure exactly. But if they are locked out of my phone won't that give me some protection there?
