Now my laptop itunes has some of its own files and purchased music.

One day, I hooked my iPod up to my computer and it told me that a couple hundred songs were not authorized to play on this computer. Then it removed them from my iPod, but left them in iTunes. Those songs were every single purhcase I had ever made on iTunes.
Later that day, my computer started freaking out. I made a copy of that purchased music to CD, and a few minutes later, my computer crashed and burned.
After reinstalling Windows XP Professional, I imported the burned music into iTunes. However, when I hook up iPod to the computer, it tells me that iPod can only sync to one library at a time, and do I want it to erase everything on the iPod (all of my music that wasn't purchased at iTunes) and overwrite it with everything on my current library. I tell it no, because I don't want it to erase everything on the iPod.
So how do I get to it actually "sync" by adding what's on my iPod to my iTunes library, and what's in my iTunes library to my iPod, without having to erase everything on my iPod?

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod, the transfer of purchased content has recently been introduced with iTunes 7. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

If your iPod is set to update automatically you just need to take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No* (or "Cancel" if you are using iTunes 7). Pressing "Yes" (or Erase and Sync in iTunes 7) will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. In iTunes 7 Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

i had a lot of music downloaded and now i cannot find it. did i lose it when my computer crashed. why cant i just log in and have it back? sorry apple but this is so confusing

Restore CC after computer crash

Hi everyone,
My computer crashed three days ago. Luckily it was not the hard drive with all my datas so today I plug it in my desktop and everything is fine.
The problem is that CC don't want to launch at all… and when I want to launch another adobe application it is said MSVCR110.dll is missing…
Do you kndw a way to make it work without downloading and instaling everything again?

Okay.
Provide full permissions to Adobe folder.
Right click on Adobe folder and select Properties.
Uncheck read only option.
Click on Security Tab.
Then click on Edit to change permissions.
Then select the user name listed like :
Administrator,
System
Currently logged in user name
Trusted Installers
Tick the box " Full Control" under Allow .
Then Click Apply and then OK.
If you get any error message while Applying Full Control Permission , just select Ignore All option,.
Then try to launch Photoshop cc 2014 app and check.

How to restore library after hard drive reformat?

Hello, I am going to reformat my Mac Pro's boot drive, and I want to make sure my iTunes library remains intact (I'm using iTunes 12).
I keep my iTunes music files on a 2nd internal hard drive, in a folder that I titled "iTunes Folder". I also plan to reformat this internal hard drive.
I have backups of both drives on an external hard drive. I'm assuming that in order to restore my iTunes library, playlists, etc., to their current state, I simply need to a) restore the user/Music/iTunes folder to its current state and b) restore the "iTunes Folder" to my 2nd internal drive. Is that correct? Or is there a different way that it should be done?

Our hard drive crashed completely and we installed a completely new hard drive. My sister and I both shared the same library for our Videos. She plugged her's into the computer and all the music was erased almost immediately. How can I plug my ipod in with out having the music and other files erased??? Is there any way I can transfer music from my ipod onto her's??

Restoring Library after PC Crash

My Windows PC with iTunes Library Crashed. Am trying to get to the point where my iPad, iPhones, and iPod can sync with the new library. I have transfered all the content from my devices to the PC to get the music files onto the new PC and into iTunes. I then exported the playlists of my phone onto the PC, and then imported those playlists into iTunes. I did have to use an app called Syncios to copy 10 MPEG audio files that would not otherwise transfer from my iphone to my PC. Once I copied those files to the PC via Syncios, I was able to import them into my iTunes Library...those files were from a CD, not the iTunes store.
Bottom line, it seems I have restored all my media and playlists from my phone. But when I try to sync which requires my phone's media to be deleted and replaced with that from the PC...its saying I dont have sufficient memory...I cant figure out why every thing fits now, but wont fit after the sync?

Additional info. On the music tab where you select which playlists to sync, the bar graph at the bottom seems to depict I should have additonal space...yet why I try to sync, it fails saying I need an additional 2GBytes of memory. Is that bar graph inaccurate? Do I need to delete the media off my phone manually for the sync to finally work? Seems like maybe its needing some temp space to get through the process?

I got a duplicate of what I already have. My iPod has all the music on it. Is there any way of transfering the music from the iPod to iTunes? My iPhone only has the purchased music on it. I was hoping if I could transfer from the iPod to iTunes then I can sync the iPhone and get all the music I originally burned. Have HP Pavillion dv9500 laptop with Vista Op System. I had disk crash. Not recoverable. No recovery disks. I have ordered a refurbished exact same disk drive 120GB. How do I reload operating system onto refurbished disk and get system operable? I have a windows 7 home op system disk and license. Can I install the windows 7 or do I have to find a vista op system? What are the steps required to make laptop operable again?

Hi,
I don't know the damage of the old HDD therefore can't not say much. Now you've got new HDD, new OS (Windows 7 disc), my suggestion: install Windows 7 to new HDD from scratch and work out how to recover data/files on the old HDD. If no physical damage, you can recover data from it then use it as an external HDD such as put it in an enclosure.

I have managed to get my iphone apps resynced with iTunes on my new Mac. Still haven't synced anything else including music, photos, and ringtones for fear of losing them. My question is twofold....
First question is when I tried to install the new 2.2 update today iTunes froze on phone backup, perhaps because there is no previous backup of my phone on this computer. How can I get past this?
Second question is how can I not lose the ringtones I made from iTunes? If I sync them will they be copied from the phone back into iTunes? It took me forever to create those and I cannot lose them. I had all my music backed up on an external drive and that is not an issue.

I was running XP but I could not re-install so I have got my PC working on Windows 8 ... as you can see from my account I purchased Adobe Acrobat in June 2014 from Harris Technology at North Ryde in Sydney ... I wanted to buy the disk to avoid the problems that I am now faced with but they only gave my a code after I paid a lot of money for your software ... now I simply wish to access this same software under my account and download and install as you have suggested ... unfortunately I cannot find it on your system ... any ideas ? kind regards Tim Kelly

How to clear Ipod after computer crash.

My laptop's graphic card died a few weeks back and since repair was more expensive than buying a new laptop i decided to go for the latter. With the recovery of the Harddisk of my old laptop i managed to retrieve my data and music files. I reinstalled Itunes on my new laptop and added the music and video's from what i had before. However now when i want to add the new files and change the data on my Ipod, my Itunes on the new laptop doesn't recognise (during syncing and verifiying my laptop doesn't react anymore.
Please let me know how i can reset my Ipod and start adding the new files or make my new laptop sync the files from Itunes to the Ipod.
