Context - Closing I Movie was invited to change from original to new settings. Accepted new setting, the result a disastrous loss of image in both photos and video of an edition. Chromatized. More info on I Movie 08 thread.
*Problem 2*: Hundreds of photos in IPhoto Recovered Photo files in Trash. I am wanting to delete the files without having to unlock each individual photo. Possible to do? If so, how?

Restoring a video clip or photo to its original state
Select the video frames or photo that you want to restore.
Click the Video Adjustments or Audio Adjustments button to open the Video Adjustments or Audio Adjustments window.

i do the following things:
1. connect iphone to my mac
2. click 'restore' button
3. itunes says that it is connecting to a server
4. itunes asks whether i am sure to restore my iphone (I can only choose restore or cancel)
5. when i choose restore, itunes says i i've got some apps on my iphone that were bought in appstore and I can lose them (I can choose only cancel or continue)
6. when I click continue, itunes says it is connecting with a server
7. itunes shows me the licence of upgrading from 4.1
8. when i click continue, I have to accept the terms and itunes downloads about 560MB of software (I reckon it's iOS 4.2)

First of all, you know how to upgrade, right? Install the new version of iTunes, plug in your iDevice, click on it on the sidebar, and click Update.
PRECAUTION: You should sync first, but it's not required at all, especially if you CAN'T sync because you're updating on a secondary computer. iTunes will create a backup for you during the update process.

This is not working for me. I synced to my computer first, then I did the upgrade on my iphone 4. Once the upgrade completed, my phone got an apple symbol with a line under it, and it is just frozen. I tried to sync back to my computer 3 times, and each time, it stops on step 3/4 for the sync. Under the apps, it says something like 'searching for apps to load.' It freezes there for hours. I waited 7 hours the first time, woke up, did it again and 11 hours later, come home from work, stuck on the same screen again. I restarted itunes, and it will not even let me press the sync button. It is like the sync button is already clicked, and it says - 'loading device.' It has been stuck on that for hours.
I am so disappointed with this 'update.' My phone worked fine yesterday. Can somebody tell me what to do to get my phone to work again? I do not even care if I keep the update or not. I just want a working phone. Just to be clear, I lost EVERYTHING. I lost the ability to even turn my phone on, and apparently, my computer lost the ability to 'read' my phone. iTunes is pretty unforgiving about deleting playlists. There no "undelete". You can revert to using an earlier version of your iTunes library file from a backup.
It doesn't make a difference in this case but you did post in the iTunes for Mac forum and your computer information says you are running Windows.

Best is to first find and undelete the previous profile folder and then undelete the bookmarkbackups folder in it with the JSON backups (bookmarks-####-##-##.json)
If you can recover an uncorrupted JSON back then you can use it to restore the bookmarks.

How do I stop iTunes back up from deleting my photos?

So I went to add some music to my iPhone last night, having added some stuff to iTunes.
It was the third time I plugged my iPhone into the PC, having used itunes to sync it, activate it and all the rest. Plugged it in and was greeted with "welcome to your new iphone... set up as new phone or restore from backup" (the backup being from the previous time I'd plugged it in. Neither of these was the 'correct' option, given that it was the same phone on the same account, so I picked the one that had my phone's name - restore from backup, and without any further prompts it deleted all the photos I'd taken since the last time I'd plugged it into iTunes. Having done that, I was able to get into 'sync' and get stuff from iTunes onto my phone and vice versa.
So my questions are these:
If I go on to take more pictures with my phone, how do I get them on to the pc without iTunes deleting them? I appreciate that Sync is one way to do this, but last night I couldn't [i]get[/i] to sync without letting iTunes delete all my stuff first. Surely I don't have to set it up as a new phone every time?
What might have prompted iTunes to treat the phone as a new phone? I was logged into my usual account (I only have one, and I'm the only person in the house who has one). I don't really understand why it kind of became hostile to a device that it'd already synced with, and I'd like to understand what I can do to avoid it happening again. I don't use iTunes on any other computer, either.

Time Machine is backup, not an archive. You should not use it to keep permanent copies of things you have deleted from your main disk. Once the original is gone, the Time Machine copy will not last forever. If you want to keep a permanent copy of a photo "offline", you must make a copy of it somewhere.

In August, I set up and tried using Revel in conjunction with Photoshop Elements 12 on my iMac, iPad, and iPhone. I now regret doing so and am totally dissatisfied with the functionality of Revel. I was not able to get mobile albums successfully set up via Photoshop Elements 12 so I could share with others, which I thought would be one of the nice features. Revel also put duplicates of all my photos back on my computer in a separate folder. I also unfortunately signed up for a one year Revel subscription which I can't figure out how to cancel, although I luckily did not sign up for automatic renewal. I assume Adobe will hold on to my money and that I may be stuck with the $63.59 including sales tax that I paid for it. How can I get my Revel account closed, the photos deleted from the cloud, and my $63.59 refunded?

Just stop using it, and uninstall the iCloud control panel in exactly the same way as you would any other software.

If you turn off your Camera Roll backup from your phone backup on iCloud, your Camera Roll photos won't be included in the next backup, getting 5.2 GB more of free space. Photo Stream has nothing to do with your phone backup, because your photos will still be there until 30 days after adding them, when Photo Stream deletes the photos automatically

How do i stop photoshop from opening all the recovered photos

i realize that i probably caused this problem but i need to fix it.... dozens and dozens of photos open and it takes forever. closing them doesn't work, they just come back the next time i open cs6.

Beyond manually finding the files for removal, consider this:
Photoshop is supposed to remove those backup files itself after you've successfully closed them.
That it's not doing so implies possibly a permissions problem, where deletions of files from within your scratch PSAutoRecover area by you are not allowed. You'll want to look at the permissions of those folders/files and change them so that you do have access. I'm sorry to say I do not know the specific commands, as I am not a Mac user.

This is how you Reset - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
